Files of Chinese Taipei Football Association

[edit]

These works should be non-free images. Their copyright belong to Chinese Taipei Football Association. They could be only uploaded on Wikipedia as fair use media. Just like football association logos of other countries. --Jitcji (talk) 08:32, 12 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

However, it appears to be very similar to File:Flag of Chinese Taipei for Olympic games.svg... -- AnonMoos (talk) 16:17, 14 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
But the copyright is still not public.--Jitcji (talk) 12:26, 15 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I know nothing about Taiwanese copyright law, but under United States copyright law, if the design of the flag seen in File:Flag of Chinese Taipei for Olympic games.svg is uncopyrighted, then it's very dubious whether the flag designs in some of the other images could be copyrightable. AnonMoos (talk) 07:11, 16 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
If it is very dubious, I think it could be more appropriate to use them as fair use media.--Jitcji (talk) 15:56, 16 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Keep Absolutely zero evidence of copyrighted status. Fry1989 eh? 16:49, 17 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Zero evidence of free copyrighted, too. Works are usually copyright under this situation.--Jitcji (talk) 09:53, 26 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Keep The images are created using uncopyrighted symbols, including generic silhouettes of football balls, ying/yang and the Blue Sky with a White Sun symbol (created in 1893). However, I think that File:Flag of the Chinese Taipei Football Association.svg is a copyrighted image and should be  Delete. --B1mbo (talk) 00:03, 18 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Keep This flag was actually used as "Flag of Chinese Taipei football team" instead of the national flag in a period of 1981-2006. Please see FIFA's website (Webarchive), it is obvious that this flag was used instead of the national flag. Typically national flags or equivalent flags are NOT copyrightable. --紫陽花の下 (talk) 15:52, 24 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
There are almost not photoes could prove that the "team flag" was used as a national flag in international events like this. It's probably just a flag of the team and the association but not an equivalent of the national flag.--Jitcji (talk) 06:55, 25 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
The flag is obviously used in place of the national flag at international events due to the dispute for recognition between the Republic of China and the People's Republic of China. Your claim is invalid. Fry1989 eh? 17:05, 26 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Kept: as above. Yann (talk) 17:28, 26 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
