- It is not a copyvio, and it seems that you have not followed the recent decision that liquor bottle labels are perfectly acceptable to reproduce at Wikimedia. - Since the user at flickr isn't the copyrightholder either. You are allowed to use images from flickr under a commons compatable license but the acocunt holder must be the copyrightholder, the file must not be a derivative work unless it is covered by com:FOP. Keep I had deleted some images as part of my cleanup of uploads, but am opining to keep the rest of what is here with reasoning beneath each image (they might find usage on Bengali Wikipedia where photographs of Bengali people may be preferable to illustrate concepts. The photographer relicenced all of his photos upon my request, and looks forward to seeing them in use on our projects. The issue of watermarks is because they were uploaded to Flickr sometime before my request, and is happy to provide unwatermarked images where needed--however, we can simply crop the watermarks out. - Perdón, pero ¿no sabe que esta imagen es de dominio público porque el copyright de esta fotografía, registrada en la Argentina, ha expirado? (como dice la liciencia) La fotografía es del cabildo de Santa Fe, que fue demolido en 1908, y la foto fue sacada en 1876, así que ya pasaron los 25 años de antigüedad y los 20 de la priemra vez en que fue publicada. En todo caso, puede decrice que la página web no tiene más de 20 años de publicación, pero hace mucho que fue publicada en los diarios de la ciudad, y se nota muy bien que tiene mucho más que 25 años de antigüedad. Image already in use long before uploaded here (e.g. in this 2009 forum thread). It also appears here, stating "Co-op's OBR 87T was photographed in Newcastle on 4th May 1996. Photo from Fleet Data Archives/Dave Hinde, submitted by Peter Jarman.". The PD rationale stating that this image is public domain "because photo taken in a public space" implies uploader knows it's not his, but thinks that he has the right to use it, due to this misunderstanding of how something can become public domain. - Be more specfic. I took that photo myself, used one of the standard licences for works made by oneself, and clarified that it is compatible with Freedom of Panorama concerns (and it is a building built centuries ago, so any copyright on it would have expired anyway). - Are you saying you wrote designed the sign? If so, fine, but we probably need COM:OTRS. Are you saying the sign is in the public domain? If so, fine, but we need an explanation why it would be. Keep - The sign is in the public domain. It is a public information sign provided by Lawshall Parish Council relating to a small wildlife site within the parish - copyright is not an issue. - It may or may not be PD. As long as no other evidence is presented, I believe the PD sign on that web page. Looks like an old image and I am strongly suspicious that this isn't uploader's as claimed.
It appears here claimed to be "submitted by Bill Chase" (i.e. not same name as uploader and implying in previous use unless was added in past week or so).
The fact that the user's only other upload (File:Cabac Milk Float Smith Electric Vehicles.jpg) appears to be someone else's image taken by uploader who thinks (wrongly) that taking a photo in public makes it public domain suggests that he/she isn't knowledgable about what can and can't be claimed as one's own.
If this image *is* public domain anyway and/or free due to its age or having been released, we need more evidence of this.

- If it's not your "own work" as claimed, but you still have the right to upload it under those terms, can you please amend the license to make the situation clearer (i.e. that you and/or the person you are working for have the rights to it and are releasing it (or already released it)). (Note to administrators reading this, is OTRS required here?)
- Unfortunately, we get a *lot* of people uploading image claimed as "own work" when it clearly isn't (probably because it's the default option) and too many such images are copyright violations. If the image is legitimately yours to upload, we appreciate your contribution, and just need this clarified.

- I'm afraid that doesn't really help. Having a document in one's physical possession doesn't make it one's "Own work", doesn't make one the author, and doesn't make one the copyright holder. For files like File:Mosa Asadi1314.jpg/File:Mosa Asadi.jpg/File:Mosa Asadi1300.jpg/File:Mosa Asadi1388.jpg/File:Mosa Asadi 1357.jpg (obviously a photo of a pre-existing photo), the original photographer needs to be identified as the author, and a valid license must be obtained from that person (or that person's heirs). The image, while sourced from Flickr, is originally from http://soundcheck.walmart.com/Content/images/artists/selena-gomez/2013/photos/picture_02.jpg?width=806&height=386. It's use violates the Walmart.com Terms of Use which state "You may access, view, download, and print the IP and all other materials displayed on the Walmart Sites for your personal, non-commercial use only; provided, however, that you (1) retain all copyright, trademark or other proprietary designations contained on all IP; (2) do not modify or alter the IP in any way; and (3) do not provide or make available the IP to any third party in a commercial manner." As originally uploaded to Commons it was a copy of the original image but the uploader cropped it, violating the sections of the TOU that state "you [must] retain all copyright, trademark or other proprietary designations contained on all IP" and "do not modify or alter the IP in any way". Additionally, the image was not downloaded for the uploader's "personal, non-commercial use only". Uploading to Wikipedia is not personal use. The license under which the file was uploaded to Wikipedia is incompatible with Walmart.com's Terms of Use and I'm concerned that the uploader has seen fit to review his own image[9] after I clearly nominated it for speedy deletion, explaining the TOU violation,[10] especially after FlickreviewR had been unable to confirm the license conditions. If Walmart claims copyright on images here we can't justify use by saying "Oh we got it from Lunchbox" any more than we can justify the use of images by saying "Oh, we got them from Google". Would we be having this discussion if you had directly copied the file from Walmart's website, which is where it came from anyway? As for your excuses about reviewing it, as the uploader you're an involved editor so you really shouldn't be reviewing your own images. - I've read the link. It doesn't change anything. That was a very limited discussion from 2 years ago that didn't address the details Walmart.com's Terms of Use. The file being discussed here was clearly sourced from Walmart.com, so its Terms of Use apply. It isn't a low resolution version of that file as you implied are uploaded by Lunchbox. - Arguments on the admin's talk page are that Lunchbox LP created the image, but this has not been proven. The image clearly contains a Walmart watermark and is clearly from the Walmart website,[13] pointing to ownership of the image by Walmart. User:Stemoc provided a link to a deletion discussion that supposedly justifies retention of this file but there are flaws in that reasoning. For example, in the discussion is the claim that "Lunchbox Studios clearly owns the rights to these images". This is not clear at all. In fact Lunchbox's rights in relation to this infobox are not clearly defined anywhere. Another comment is "Lunchbox took the image, as proven by the lists of artists here" but that is not proof at all. That site says nothing about images but simply says "Artists we've worked with". Not only "simple text" logo, it clearly has a design (stripes over "El Expreso") and superposition of "de la costa" indicates originality. At a glance it looks that there's only characters, but the fact that they added some lines and includes the superposition of words above others clearly make the logo more original (it's no more the "only-font" logo, it has a design that denotes originality), and therefore it still have the copyright status over their respective owners. In other way: If you are so interested and worried about adding anything on Wikimedia about Pichilemu (independent of their relevance), why don't you contact the El Expreso de la Costa logo owners and asks them for a permission? The lotus symbol in this flag is a piece of art. Since the BJP was established around 1980, this symbol continues to be copyrighted under Indian copyright law. I cannot find any information about copyright with regards to the symbol on the party website. If you want to delete this file just because the lotus in the flag has been copyrighted under Indian copyright law, then the same would apply to all the Indian Political Party's flags that are uploaded on Commons. For instance, the flag of Indian National Congress, the flag of DMK, the flag of ADMK and the electoral symbol of BSP etc. are all copyrighted under Indian copyright law. But how is it that they are allowed to stay on Commons and not this? Is it not that they also infringe the copyright? Moreover, to the best of my knowledge, publicly licensed version of these flags and symbols are not available anywhere. So, the best we could do is to create an identical one for use in various wikimedia projects. But the design of the lotus in this flag is slightly different from the one officially registered and used by the party. There will be a few more lines below the lotus symbol in official version. So, this flag is not an exact replica of the official flag. Even more this file has not been copied from anywhere. It has been drawn by the uploader himself.
