This is a QRcode which appears to convert to the text "SAMSUNG GALAXY NOTE 2". Commons has a large selection of QRcodes and there is no limit on the text variations that can be encoded this way. I am raising this DR to set a precedent of reasonable interpretation of the scope definition which specifically mentions raw text as outside the aims of this project as covering the infinite variations possible by encoding raw text as barcodes or QRcodes. There was a mass upload of images of Syracuse (Italy) taken from other websites, often marked as "unknown author" and "unknown year", then marking them as Pd-Old (!) or Pd-Italy. Pd-Italy is accepted only in Wikipedia in Italian, and it is VERY controversial, limiting copyright to 20 years only to images devoid of ANY artistic value... which most of the images listed here are not, since they meet the threshold of originality. In other cases (eg here) an author name is given, but the uploader is not the author. To keep the image, the uploader needs to provide the author's ticket/permission.
Another group is by photographer Angelo Maltese who died in 1978, and whose artistic quality is self-evident.
I suggest that these images be moved to Wikipedia Italy, and deleted from WikiCommons, where different criteria apply User:G.dallorto (talk) 23:47, 25 April 2014 (UTC)

After today identifying around 10 uploads as copyvio it´s difficult to believe that these remaining files would be own work: IMHO untrusted user uploading a bunch of copyrighted material (small/inconsistent resolutions, missing/inconsistent exif, from 40 uploads +50% were already deleted) so these ones (per COM:PRP) can't be believed either. Almost all uploads were by some means digitally manipulated (resized, background/horizont/sky changed, etc.) and I suspect that e.g. the photoshopped File:La espiga y su relampago.jpg or File:Panóramica Acarigua.JPG are based on own works.

IMO, this upload needs a bit more than mere Flickr-review of the license on Flickr, as the original EXIF-data[2], which strangely are not fully displayed on Commons, clearly state:
- 1) Copyright Notice: 2011 Getty Images, which contradicts the current credit "Land Rover MENA";
- 2) Copyright: 2011 Getty Images.

Oppose – Request seems strange. The nominator uploaded the file himself as his own work, and gave permission to use it under CC-BY-SA and GFDL. Unless I am missing something, it is not possible to revoke the license retroactively. An extremely low-quality image, due to severe blurriness. I drove past the location (38°7′30″N 82°37′42″W / 38.125°N 82.62833°W) just a few days ago, but it looks nothing like memory and almost nothing like Google Maps. Note that it's totally unused, although nineteen languages have Wikipedia articles on Louisa, and the en:wp article instead uses an image from 1896. There is Template:User en-admin, that is internationalized, with the iso code of the wiki. The use is the same because the "en" parameter is inserted. These are the four files from the recently created Category:MBTA public art. They are recent public artwork (1986 for Kendall, 2004 for Airport, and 1987 for the other 2) taken in a country with no freedom of panorama. The Ruggles image is mine (one of the first I uploaded); the other 3 are by other users.
I believe that the first 3 files are pretty clear copyright violations due to lack of FOP, and should be deleted. - Keep Actually Leyo has right. This is the same picture. The original glass print is the same by both images. But that are too different scans of the the same glass print. This can be recoginzed by the first uploaded version. It looks like the error was doneduring the digitalisation process. - Please keep this file until the Swiss Federal Archives has found out why this mistake has happend and how to solve it. It is probably that a different image is missing instead. There is no need for hurry. --Micha (talk) 07:47, 29 April 2014 (UTC)
