File is watermarked "GIZMODO". Very likely a copyvio from there rather than the Flickr user's own work. The licence is therefore invalid and this is a copyvio image. Sandstein (talk) 11:04, 28 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Flickr uploader "mattbuchanan" is affliated with gizmodo as a photogrpaher, see http://gizmodo.com/people/iceeee You could have reseached this yourself. --blunt. (talk) 11:11, 28 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

"Historical images of Bulgaria" serves no purpose as a category and is not currently used. Category:History of Bulgaria is probably 99.99% images (or even 100% - i don't see any audio, video) which means that 99.9% of it should also be in Category:Historical images of Bulgaria. It's only useful to have media type categories for the more rare media types - video, audio, etc --Exonie (talk) 20:20, 28 January 2010 (UTC) --Exonie (talk) 20:20, 28 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

There is no valid source stated for this image: When i go to http://www.eucom.mil i cannot see this image. If this would be okay, i could upload any photo from some person that hasn't released it under a Commons-compatible licence and give such imprecise sources like http://www.eucom.mil and everybody believes me here? And where is the information from that it was shot by a US-NAVY employee? Fellows, there are two possibilities now: Delete this image or the guy that uploaded it tells where he found it with the information that "Navy Petty Officer 1st Class Jeremy Wood" photographed it. 93.211.75.218 11:48, 28 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

converted by me from a speedy by User:Caspian blue for "The file is claimed to be a self-made political propaganda to promote the Japanese perspective that disputed island, Liancourt Rocks are of Japan, not of Korean territory even though the latter is the "de capo" administrative government. This uncredential file is not used in any page to any Wikipedia project. The non-profit project Wikipedia Project should not be a place to tolerate such purpose." to allow for some discussion. --Túrelio (talk) 22:04, 28 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

A sort of reply by uploader User:Sisonori999, that had originally been placed with a (likely erroneous) delete-command below the original speepy on the image page: "this is a true map". --Túrelio (talk) 22:07, 28 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Comment - This is a kind of irredentist ultra-Japanese-nationalist map about the Liancourt Rocks. Whether this image should be kept or deleted depends on whether it has any factual or educational value, or is pure extremist Japanese nationalist propaganda... AnonMoos (talk) 04:08, 29 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Túrelio said "This uncredential file ~ = WHY unreliable/incredible? then You couldn't believe the any maps? "The non-profit project~" = so I up-loaded, for get to know the truth.  Delete WP is not a place for original propaganda. There are some propaganda media files in Commons because those media files where published elsewhere and this is exactly what makes them interesting. Unless you prove this image has been previously published somewhere notable (for example, a pro-Japanese site with a good audience), this image must disappear from Commons as it falls either under "Self-created artwork without obvious educational use" or under "Files apparently created and/or uploaded for the purpose of attack", from COM:PSXavier, 14:17, 30 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Photo of blank page. Not related to Nicolas Poussin as far as I can tell Jarekt (talk) 18:19, 28 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Keep, it's not blank ant it is related to Poussin. It a page of the 1914 book of Otto Grautoff (died in 1937 so the book is PD) about Nicolas Poussin (cover is here File:Grautoff Poussin 02.jpg. I made a special category, it will be better (if someone could scan the whole book it will be even better). Cdlt, VIGNERON * discut. 11:00, 3 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Low-res, only upload by unidentified user with no user page, likely copyvio. Dcoetzee (talk) 23:37, 28 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

  •  Keep I'll admit it's a touch suspicious, but it's a random pic of someone probably not too hard to grab a random pic of. Could easily be a crop from a much larger picture, or scaled for Wikipedia. Without evidence, to assume that it's copyvio strikes me as failing w:WP:AGF.--Prosfilaes (talk) 01:56, 29 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Postcards by Take it easy dude

[edit]

Obviously bogus licenses because unloader claim copyright over 1933-1939 German postcards. Maybe photos are {{PD-old}}, but with given information it is impossible to determine such fact --Justass (talk) 23:14, 28 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

  •  KeepThese postcards are for more than 70 years ago. I have a collection of postcards which I have legally bought all of them and I am the owner now and I took pictures of them. The postcards are published sometime before 1939 and after 1933 in Germany, probably by the German government.Take it easy dude (talk) 23:26, 28 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  •  Delete - Owning some prints does not give you the right to re-publish and re-license those images. For wartime photographs, it is quite likely that the photographer has died less than 70 years ago, which means they are still copyrighted by the author or his heirs. If you want to claim them government works, then you need to present positive proof, not just gesswork. --Latebird (talk) 23:37, 29 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

All deleted, without the reverse of the postcards, {{Anonymous-EU}} cannot be checked. Kameraad Pjotr 18:06, 28 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
