Because it is a selfie which is not used in any article Pedo(real) (talk) 21:08, 15 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Although this photo comes from Flickr and its licensing seems OK, there's nothing to suggest the the Flickr account holder and the copyright holder of the book are one and the same. Photos like this are COM:DWs and this means there are two copyrights that need to be considered: one for the photo itself and one for the photographed work. So, unless it can be clearly demonstrated that the copyright holder of the book has already released images of its cover art under an acceptable free license or is giving their COM:CONSENT with respect to particular photo, Commons can't really keep this. This is essentially a case of COM:LL, unintentional perhaps, but still LL. For reference, the photographed book looks to be the same as the one shown here and here, but with different cover art. If the book shown in was first published in 2019 or later, it's cover art would still certainly still be eligible for copyright protection under US copyright law, and the fact that this is a photo of the book being displayed in a store window wouldn't change that. -- Marchjuly (talk) 00:20, 16 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

This appears to a COM:DW of various posters, but there's no information provided about the en:provenances of the poster or to indicate that the uploader is the copyright holder of the posters. Since this photo appears to have been taken in France, and there's pretty much no freedom of panorama for anything under French copyright law per COM:FOP France, I don't see how this photo can be kept (even if it's the uploader's own work) without some way of verifying that the posters themselves are within the public domain for some reason, the copyright holders of the poster have either already released their imagery under an acceptable free license or the copyright holders have given their COM:CONSENT for this image of them to be uploaded under a "CC-by-sa-4.0" license. -- Marchjuly (talk) 01:17, 16 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

This is the best of the three. I like the composition and the separation between the subject and the background, and I like the background. However, it's a bit soft, so I think it will be deleted along with the other two as inessential. -- Ikan Kekek (talk) 04:33, 16 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Nothing to indicate that the uploader of this file is its copyright holder or that the file has otherwise been released as licensed. There's also nothing to indicate that this is the official logo of the en:Citrus Belt League. It's possible that this could be considered to fall below COM:TOO US and be OK to relicense as PD, but there probably should be some way of verifying that it's the official logo of the league provided before doing that. -- Marchjuly (talk) 04:49, 16 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

It's COM:INUSE. I don't know whether the stem and leaves take it over COM:TOO US or not. It's not the job of Commons to research whether Wikipedia is using official logos. Feel free if you like, but that shouldn't override COM:INUSE. -- Ikan Kekek (talk) 06:43, 16 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
