Hello, I am asking for the buttons to support on commons more sufficiently.
Started with an SUL account on wikipedia in 2007, my homewiki (de userpage) is the german version, but I also contribute to the en.wiki and the dutch wikipedia (nl userpage).
It goes without saying that I was never blocked on any wikipedia project. None of my pictures or uploads was ever deleted.
I am a trusted user on commons and did some work in the field of review of imported images (image-reviewer & autopatroller).
As a member of the OTRS Supportteam OTRS/personnel I handled several hundred tickets in the queues info-de, permissions (de, nl, commons) and photosubmission.
My knowledge of copyright issues is quite good (which is absolutely necessary to be able to deal with the tasks on the different OTRS permission-queues).
After finishing with cleaning up the backlog on the German photosubmission-de queue (some tickets where older than 100 days) I want to focus my attention on the general photosubmission queue where we also have a backlog of > 200 days.
(explanation: the photosubmission queue does contain email tickets where people send us picture contributions but are not able to upload and incorporate them into wikipedia themselves (correctly). Normally it takes several emails to clarify all the details and get the correct permissions before the agent can upload the attached pictures). Only few OTRS-agents are willing to work on this queues because of the possible legal risk for the uploader of the files.
To perform support this tasks I ask you to grant me the administrator rights to be able to view deleted files, rename files and remove duplicates.
I am only interested to get the rights in association with my OTRS duties and do not plan to close open deletion requests or vandalism in the foreseeable future. OTRS will be my main field next to working on articles.
I am able to communicate in English, German, Dutch and can read French.

- Support - I believe Neozoon can be trusted with the tools. Like all OTRS members, the tools are beneficial and not just for viewing deleted files. And as always, multilingual users are a plus. --ZooFari 01:17, 2 January 2011 (UTC)

- Support --AFBorchert (talk) 12:14, 3 January 2011 (UTC) I've reviewed the refered to case below which turned up in COM:UDEL and in my opinion that case was handled correctly.
- IMHO the explanation given to the uploader when dealing with the OTRS ticket wasn't sufficient. Ticket 232010123010010819 might have been handled better too. -- Docu at 19:15, 3 January 2011 (UTC)

- Are you aware of the fact that renaming doesn't need administrator status? There is a user group for that feature and I just added you to that user group, because I think a user in your position should be able to rename files. How often do you think you will remove a duplicate file? For this is the only logged admin action you mention. Or do you also need to restore deleted files? Jcb (talk) 01:07, 2 January 2011 (UTC)
I have often to deal with files that have been deleted because of copyviolation and where we receive the permission from the user later. To be able to put my OTRS permission on the file I have to ask an admin to restore the file first to be able to finalise on the ticket. So the answer is yes, I need to see and restore deleted files often. Neozoon (talk) 01:13, 2 January 2011 (UTC)
- About File:Burg Neuhaus - RW Ramschied -Hennthaler Landwehr 110.JPG which you seem to have dealt with for OTRS: Where was this sign located? -- Docu at 10:33, 2 January 2011 (UTC)
- Hello Docu,
- can't tell you since the picture is gone and I can not take a look at it anymore. It was somewhere in Germany for sure. What is the reason for your question? Neozoon (talk) 10:53, 2 January 2011 (UTC)
- I'm trying to figure out how you are dealing with ORTS requests and I saw you leave a note on a users talk page about it. Would you check OTRS about that? -- Docu at 11:02, 2 January 2011 (UTC)
- Hello Docu,
- The ticketnumber was 2010122810006203 for people with OTRS to check but I can not discuss the details of OTRS tickets on this list. (But I think I did handle the ticket well) :-) Neozoon (talk) 11:22, 2 January 2011 (UTC)
- If the sign was in Germany, the note you left on the uploaders talk page might be a bit too generic, as we do have copyrighted signs from Germany. -- Docu at 11:28, 2 January 2011 (UTC)
- Question Can you explain in more detail than the PD-tag why you believe that files like File:Romania_stamp_-_1975_-_55B_-_ARO_240.jpg are public domain? --99of9 (talk) 09:03, 6 January 2011 (UTC)
Hello 99of9,
(I moved your question into the comment section)
As you probably noticed, I uploaded several stamps from my collection of romanian stamps to commons. There are more to come. We can upload stamps of Romania because of the legal situation in that country. (Since this is part of the license description should be obvious).
There is a special template ( |Permission={{PD-RO-exempt}} ) to be used for stamps of romania, which I used for my uploads.
You can find this at the category page: Category Stamps of Romania:
This is also described on the page Commons:Stamps/Public domain
See the part for Romania below:
- Romania
According to the Romanian Law on Copyright and Neighboring Rights Law no. 8/1996 of March 14, 1996 with further amendments Chapter 3 Article 9 "means of payment" shall not benefit from the legal protection accorded to copyright; therefore images of stamps are deemed to be in the public domain. Please tag Template:PD-RO-exempt template to each such image. Stamps/Public_domain#Romania
I hope I did understand your question well and this is the answer you expected.
Best regards & Groetjes

- Thanks for your answer. It is not completely clear to me that a stamp qualifies as a means of payment (as a banknote or coin would), but I suppose it may well, and I'm no lawyer. --99of9 (talk) 01:18, 7 January 2011 (UTC)
