Hello, I'm applying for Sysop permission at Commons in order to help protect the Arabic content from vandalism. I am also a Sysop in Arabic Wikipedia and Wikidata, and I wish to assist with that. I have carefully read the Commons Administrators policy. Mohammed Qays 🗣 17:18, 22 September 2024 (UTC)

- @Abzeronow thanks, But I need Sysop because the Arabic presence in Commons is significant. It is essential to have someone from the community to oversee the uploads happening in the project. - according to this page: https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Commons:List_of_administrators_by_language there is 2 native arab language admins.. i guess this is not enough. so, i really suggest you to put more work before making another request. modern_primat ඞඞඞ ----TALK 20:02, 22 September 2024 (UTC)

- @Modern primat I do not find in commons:Administrators the condition of the ceiling of the amendment, but the most important thing is ( Administrators are expected to understand the goals of this project, and be prepared to work constructively with others towards those ends. - i tryed to write, 2 admins is not enough for arab community. there is near 500 million arabic people in the world. we need more arabic language admins.

- You don't need the admin bit to "monitor the contriubtions of Arabic-speaking users". You can do that by patrolling uploads for example. Bedivere (talk) 02:00, 23 September 2024 (UTC)
