Hi Vcarceler, was this image shot inside oder outside of a building? --Túrelio (talk) 14:42, 23 September 2012 (UTC)
- Yes, inside city hall. It was open to visits and they granted to take pictures. Vcarceler (talk) 15:10, 23 September 2012 (UTC)
- Thanks. However, this figure looks to be more recent work and it seems unlikely that the artist is dead for >70 years. The fact that the museum allowed to take photos has little relevance for the copyright of the original, as only the creator him/herself (or his/her heirs) can grant a permission to take a photo of the work and distribute it under a free license. Could you try to research who is the artist, who made the original, and, if already dead, when he/she did die. --Túrelio (talk) 15:24, 23 September 2012 (UTC)
- Yes, this figure its a recent work and in any way the artist has been dead for over 70 years. And as I said it is not no museum, it is the courtyard of the town hall of Barcelona. It's a Diable figure from Barcelona Trinitat Vella folklore. It's made to be used in the street celebrations and everyone can take pictures. But as you ask me I made contact with the artist, you can see her in http://www.dolorssans.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=52&Itemid=46, and I am awaiting her response. I appreciate your concern but there is no violation of copyright.Vcarceler (talk) 21:05, 2 November 2012 (UTC)
