Please sign your name on Talk pages by typing ~~~~. To link to an image page without embedding the image, type: [[:File:Foo.jpg]], which produces: File:Foo.jpg. You may enable gadgets (custom features) for your account. There are several tools to upload files. Have you edited Wikipedia before? This guide might be useful. Made a mistake? Do you want to have a file renamed or moved? Use the move link and wait for an authorized user to rename it. Do you want to have your recently uploaded picture removed? Tag it as {{speedy|reason here}}. For more information read the deletion guidelines.

Welcome and a few suggestions!

Hi Vardhan, Good to see you here! I noticed you have just started an account and uploaded a couple of images. Here are a few tips/suggestions that might help:
1) Your user category needs to be defined, which you can do easily by adding a few lines as you can see from other similar user category pages (here's mine -- remember to change username to your's). Adding the last line:
[[Category: NCF photos]]
basically makes your user category a sub-category of 'NCF photos'. Users outside of NCF have also joined the ongoing WikiProject Nature and conservation in India, by adding instead:
[[Category: WikiProject Nature and conservation in India]]
to their user category page. See Commons:WikiProject_Nature_and_conservation_in_India#Categories for more details about the category hierarchy.
2) Do add your name and interests as a participant on the project page here as well.

Location?

Hi Vardhan - could you add locations to where you took your photos like File:Collared Kingfisher, odiramphus chloris.jpg please? It makes the photos more useful, helps with identification of subspecies etc., and makes adding the right categories possible. Thanks! - MPF (talk) 10:45, 1 October 2021 (UTC)
