Dear Admin Trijnstel,
If you think this image cannot be kept by Commons, please file a deletion request. I just gave a reason for why I passed it in the image talkpage--but it may not be acceptable to Commons. Thank You, --Leoboudv (talk) 22:14, 3 January 2014 (UTC)
- Hi Leoboudv. Maybe it's just me, but why could there be a problem with this file in your opinion? Because of the other photos/posters in it? Trijnsteltalk 22:38, 3 January 2014 (UTC)
- Yes. That was my only concern. I hope the other photos are not a problem. Best Regards and Goodnight from Vancouver, Canada, --Leoboudv (talk) 09:09, 4 January 2014 (UTC)
- I don't think they are, but I'm not sure. Otherwise, you might wish to ask on Commons:Village pump/Copyright. Trijnsteltalk 16:03, 5 January 2014 (UTC)
I saw your interest on that, so... Rodrigo Tetsuo Argenton (talk) 00:03, 4 January 2014 (UTC)

If you think this image is OK for Commons, please feel free to mark it for Commons as there are some derivative photos in it. Thank You, --Leoboudv (talk) 22:19, 4 January 2014 (UTC)
- Same as with #File:Future Film Festival - Bologna.jpg. I'm not an expert on this topic, so please ask others on Commons:Village pump/Copyright. Trijnsteltalk 16:48, 5 January 2014 (UTC)
- Comment: Its OK now Admin Trijnstel. I suppose its a question of scale. If the photo focused totally on a derivative image then it would not be acceptable. But since the derivative (ad) photo isn't 40% of the full image, it should be OK. I'll ask Jcb on the first photo though just to be sure. Kind Regards, --Leoboudv (talk) 21:52, 5 January 2014 (UTC)
You may want to know that Rodrigo has been already blocked in several wikis for personal attacks and trolling. I don't think that it is a coincidence that he was blocked on pt.wiki a few days ago and made his appearance on that discussion. For all the trouble he already made on ptwiki, Meta, brwikimedia and a few others, it is very surprising that he is still accepted as an OTRS member. Anyway, that comment he made is just another way of trying to attack me as usual. Not sure if I want to answer him. Peoplo tried warnings but they have no effect. On ptwiki, we are free of him because community agrees with blocking him on sight. He has too much free time; I don't. Regards.—Teles «Talk to me ˱C L @ S˲» 18:08, 5 January 2014 (UTC)
- Thanks, Teles. I had no idea this user is currently blocked on ptwiki. While I believe he's right, I think I should leave it up to the ptwiki OTRS team. Trijnsteltalk 11:19, 8 January 2014 (UTC)
Bangerz Tour banner
Hoi Trijnstel,
Hoor graag iets terug! Bedankt. Ashif29 (talk) 19:43, 6 January 2014 (UTC)
- @Ashif29: Op de Engelstalige Wikipedia staan ze fair use toe, maar dat is geen vrije licentie, dus niet toegestaan op Commons (COM:FAIRUSE). Trijnsteltalk 11:21, 8 January 2014 (UTC)
Hi! Is this some sort of LTA (notice the 2 accounts), or just a confused new user? --Rschen7754 04:17, 15 January 2014 (UTC)
- Not sure, but I think the latter. See also en:Special:Contributions/Sultan of Gandamatto. Let's AGF. :) Trijnsteltalk 12:25, 15 January 2014 (UTC)

Hi Trijnstel, as the uploader's name differs from the alleged author's name, do you know them or shouldn't this require a permission? --Túrelio (talk) 14:37, 7 February 2014 (UTC)
- Yes, I knew them (from email and IRC). At first he used his real name on Wikipedia (Johan de Velde), but his account was renamed later per his request (privacy, see here). In case you wonder why I'm restoring this file now, this is the reason: nl:Overleg gebruiker:John Campo. Yes, he passed away last year sadly... Trijnsteltalk 14:46, 7 February 2014 (UTC)
- Oh. I've protected his userpage now. Wouldn't it eventually be safer to do something about the name-discrepancy with his uploads? In some years this information might be lost and eventually somebody else falls for the same error and deletes the image. In order to not change any of his entries, might it be a solution to create an OTRS record about the names and then add the ticket # to his uploads? --Túrelio (talk) 15:01, 7 February 2014 (UTC)
- Simply changing the name of the author from Johan de Velde to John Campo (or mention that he's renamed) would work too, I think. Right? Trijnsteltalk 15:23, 7 February 2014 (UTC)

Unlock requested by User:Hadrajsaid --> ticket:2014030710000437
Hi Trijnstel!
Can you as Checkuser and OTRS member review this request and reply to user?
ticket:2014030710000437 (Queue: Sister Projects :: Commons)
- Related: Category:Sockpuppets of Hadrajsaid
Thanks, Alan (talk) 12:12, 7 March 2014 (UTC)
- @Alan (apologies for the delay): I hesitate to unblock. The sockpuppetry is confirmed -no more sockpuppets found so in that case I would give him another chance- but Hadrajsaid has quite a lot warnings on their user talk with regards to copyvios etc. I don't know this user that well either, so I wondered, what is your opinion? With regards, Trijnsteltalk 16:19, 20 March 2014 (UTC)
- Hi. Thanks for your reply.
- IMHO it would be deny, but change the duration of block to a shorter term (in only 1 account).
- 3 months?
- Alan (talk) 18:49, 20 March 2014 (UTC)
- Hmh, not a bad idea. In that case I would change the duration of the block of Hadrajsaid and leave the other block. Trijnsteltalk 19:20, 20 March 2014 (UTC)
- Perfect, do it if you like. --Alan (talk) 20:38, 20 March 2014 (UTC)

Hi Tri, please, on this case, should I ask the holders' to upload the pictures on commons? Willy Weazley 19:57, 18 April 2014 (UTC)

ArchiveBot
Hi, I noticed you have set up User:MiszaBot to archive your talk page. Unfortunately, the bot has stopped working, and given how its operator is inactive, it is unclear when/if this will fixed. For the time being, I have volunteered to operate a MiszaBot clone (running the exact same code). With that said, your input would be appreciated at Commons:Bots/Requests/ArchiveBot 1. Regards, FASTILY 07:42, 20 April 2014 (UTC)
- Thanks for the note and also thanks for volunteering to run a clone of MiszaBot. Trijnsteltalk 21:06, 25 April 2014 (UTC)
User:IPhonehurricane95 Abuse
Hello there. I took this to you because it appears that the Admin noticeboard here has been quiet for some time, and because User:INeverCry appears to have been inactive for a month. Can you please indef block IPhonehurricane95's latest sock on Commons, User:IPhonehurricane93? After some of his IP Ranges were Rangeblocked for 1 month on Wikipedia, he decided to make another sock here to abuse me. You may want to revoke his talk page access as well, since he is notorious on the English Wikipedia for continuing to use his talk page(s) when blocked to harass other users. Can you please also run a sleeper check to see if he has any other hidden accounts? Thanks. BlueHypercane761 (talk) 04:28, 24 April 2014 (UTC)
- @BlueHypercane761: apologies for the delay - I was pretty busy in real life and still have a backlog in open messages.
- Account blocked by Denniss and checked by Tiptoety. Thanks for the report... sadly INC left the project. Trijnsteltalk 21:49, 25 April 2014 (UTC)

Snoezige spambots
Maar ik kijk er naar als ik tijd heb. it was found to be a copyright violation, deleted and removed by CommonsDelinker. If I understand correctly, we cannot have derivative works of rubber ducks at Commons. -- Rillke(q?) 09:28, 27 June 2014 (UTC)
- True. But until 11 May 2014 we had another image of a duck, which is the one I added now again. :) Trijnsteltalk 09:39, 27 June 2014 (UTC)
IPhonehurricane95 has an unblocked sleeper account
Could you please indef block User:IPhonehurricane96, as it is an obvious sleeper account of IPhonehurricane95. Also, you might want to disable his talk page access, and disable his email capability, as this sockmaster is notorious for continuing to launch degrading personal attacks while blocked, via his talk page. Wikinger
Hi Trijnstel. I've been doing some cleaning up after him today. Seeing that he often returns to his old sock accts and removes sock tags, etc, I tried this experiment: User:INeverCry/SandboxW. I added all his tagged socks to the page, and then full cascade protected it. Any reasons you can think of that the cascading protection wont protect all these pages? I'm not familiar with cascading protection. INeverCry 02:38, 12 August 2014 (UTC)
- @Denniss: Can you take a look at this too, since you have a lot of protection experience. If this sandbox wont work, is there any way to make it work? INeverCry 03:08, 12 August 2014 (UTC)
- Cascade protection does not seem to work as the page just links to the targets but doesn't transclude them. What you could try is to create a wikinger template (that may be invisible/no visible content), place it on known sock sites and cascade protect this one. Other option would be manual protection. I assume you can't use a custom template calling the sockpuppet template without cascade-protecting the sockpuppet template as well. --Denniss (talk) 09:35, 12 August 2014 (UTC)
- Thanks. I could create something simple, and put it on all the user/talk pages with AWB. I'll give it a try. INeverCry 17:35, 12 August 2014 (UTC)
- Here it is: Template:Wikinger. I've transcluded it with AWB to all pages. INeverCry 17:59, 12 August 2014 (UTC)
- @INeverCry: that won't work either. There is afair only one solution: create one page (something like Commons:Wikinger), transclude all user pages or user talk pages to it by adding for example {{:User:Wikinger}} and then cascade protect it. It's done on nlWP with pages who don't exist and shouldn't be created either here. Though, it's only useful to do that when a page doesn't exist... otherwise the page would be too big/large. Trijnsteltalk 12:17, 27 August 2014 (UTC)
- Ah well, It was just an experiment... I wish we had an abuse filter for him. Anyways, I hope things are going well for you, especially on the education front. I hated school with a passion myself. Now it makes me laugh when I drive by our university and think to myself that I'm old enough to be the father of all these students. INeverCry 16:43, 27 August 2014 (UTC)

I noticed this new acct: User:Tebnat, whose only edits are blank CSDs of 2 images uploaded by a sock of User:Tobiasnatur, and putting part of his username on his userpage, which the other Tobiasnatur socks also did. The similar name adds more suspicion... INeverCry 05:11, 12 August 2014 (UTC)

DR's involving OTRS tickets
Hi Trijnstel. Can you take a look at User_talk:INeverCry#Commons:Deletion_requests.2FFile:Oren_tsor.jpg? I don't remember who any of the OTRS admins are, but this looks like something they should know about. INeverCry 17:42, 2 September 2014 (UTC)
- @Trijnstel, if I may give you a word of advice, I would stay out of this one since you have a conflict with Jcb yourself and this case can get really ugly, really soon. @INC: The OTRS-admins know about this case if I’m correct but if you want to send them an email, you can find the all the information you need here. @ Both: What is happening here is not okay and doesn’t serve the Commons. This situation (without judging who is right and who is wrong) cannot continue and that is what I told all the involved party’s when I closed one of those DR’s. I am flying blind in this case since I cannot read Hebrew but everyone can see where this is going. Jcb knows the Hebrew Alphabet but I don’t know if he can actual read the language. Two of our Hebrew speaking admins, GeaGea and Matanya, are looking into this as well. I hope that this can be resolved soon since this is only harming Commons and the relationship with he-wiki since some of the involved persons tend to make it to personal. Natuur12 (talk) 10:42, 3 September 2014 (UTC)
- As long as OTRS admins know about it, and something is being done, I'm good. I refuse to even go to meta. I consider it the worst project in the whole group, with en.wiki a close 2nd. I stick to Commons now. Anyways, thanks for the message Natuur12; I think you're one of the best admins we have here, and I've only seen good things from Matanya, so I'm sure this will get resolved soon. @Trijnstel - I had no idea you had problems with Johan; I just think of you as the right person to go to in most situations. My apologies if I put you in an uncomfortable spot. INeverCry 15:50, 3 September 2014 (UTC)
- You couldn't know. But Natuur12 is right. It's best for both me and Jcb if I wouldn't interfere here. Trijnsteltalk 16:00, 3 September 2014 (UTC)

Cross wiki sockmaster/vandal

I'd prefer to avoid more problems, and so I don't edit there any more. Thanks for your time either way. INeverCry 03:06, 16 September 2014 (UTC)
- @INeverCry: Can you please tell me which accounts should be locked, since none of these are locked... (And didn't know about your negative experiences with Meta) Trijnsteltalk 13:52, 20 September 2014 (UTC)
- I was going by this answer I got from Tiptoety. I really don't know myself. I'm happy with just having them blocked, and grateful to TTT for helping out. I also noticed that atleast the Toma646 account will be unblocked on cs.wiki pretty soon, but who knows how some of these other wikis deal with sockmasters...Messina's no longer blocked on de.wiki... Anyways, regarding Meta, there are two stewards there who I've had issues with, and who make the place uninviting for me, but I didn't edit there much anyways (150 edits) so staying away is an easy solution for avoiding any further unpleasantness. User:Milanopablojavier24 socks
Hi Trijnstel. I found 2 more socks of this LTA by looking in the user list: User:Milanopablo80 & User:Javiermilano6. Can you run a quick check to see if there's any others? No hurry of course. I've deleted the copyvio subway images of both socks and blocked/tagged them. INeverCry 19:51, 26 September 2014 (UTC)
- Here's another one, only a day old: User:Javiermilano34, found by Taivo. INeverCry 20:38, 26 September 2014 (UTC)
Werkbesparing
Even een vraag. --Stunteltje (talk) 08:42, 12 October 2014 (UTC)
Serious issue which needs your immediate attention
Hello Trijnstel,
Sometime prior to 17 November 2013, I deleted a number of images from Commons which was done at the request of one of the individuals in the photos. I will not name the files, nor will I state when I deleted them. I will state that the subject did not want photos with her in them on Commons for reasons of privacy. I deleted the files without question and did so quietly.
Today, I have been advised by JurgenNL that on 17 November 2013, you sent to him an email. The email had the subject line: "Foto's Moira", and the text was as follows:
In Dutch:
Hoi Jurgen,
Groetjes (your name removed)
Translated roughly into English:
Hi Jurgen,
Here are the deleted photos. At the group photos, the names of the people are written (the user names, to be exactly). Maybe it's better to keep the interview for myself, otherwise you will know too much about Moira's private life and I can't do that.
Greetings (your name removed)
He also provided a screenshot of the email, which I am providing here (Link removed by Jcb (talk) 12:03, 2 December 2014 (UTC)) (with your real name blacked out). After I asked him to supply another screenshot with the "Details bekijken" visible, he did so straight away and here it is (Link removed by Jcb (talk) 12:03, 2 December 2014 (UTC)). Again, I have blacked out your real name, but have left the email addresses intact as they are publicly available via numerous posts to Wikimedia mailing lists. I have also removed from both screenshots the images which you attached to the email (which I will provide to the WMF if required). There is no doubt that this email was sent by yourself to JurgenNL.
JurgenNL did not become an admin on this project until January 2014, so he was unable to access them on Commons until well after the email was sent to him. In private conversation with JurgenNL, he told me that numerous things were being discussed, and that without being asked to, you accessed the deleted images and sent them to him on email. He also states that he was not aware of the existence of these photos until you provided them to him.
In October, both JurgenNL and TBloemink had their rights removed by the WMF for a gross violation of the Privacy Policy. JurgenNL then had his Commons rights re-instated and the removal was affirmed by the Commons community.
Knowing that the individual in question is concerned about her online privacy, it is an egregious abuse of your tools to be accessing deleted content and providing it to editors in the way that you have. Given the events surrounding the editor in question, you are as much complicit in the harassment as JurgenNL and TBloemink are at worse, or participated in its facilitation at best.
As a Check User on Commons, you are trusted by the Community to deal with sensitive information, and you are expected to deal with that information inline with various policies relating to accessing CU data. Although you haven't used your Check User tool in this instance, you have used your Administrator tools to access delete content, which you knew was deleted for reasons of privacy and distributed it to an editor who neither knew of their existence nor had access to them.
I believe that the community should have been informed of this during the RfC on JurgenNL and TBloemink as the community would have been very concerned as to your involvement. I expect that the community would have requested that your advanced permissions were also removed if it was aware at the time.
I sincerely hope there is some very good reasoning you might have which would explain your actions here, or that you will resign your advanced permissions if you can see that you have acted below community expectations so as to avoid another prolonged investigation.

- I propose to AGF here and to be honest I see no need to reopen this case. Everybody trusted JurgenNL those days, which is clearly visible in the adminship request. Jcb (talk) 18:53, 28 November 2014 (UTC)
- As the "victim" can only say Jcb is so right. No news to me that Trijnstel shared pics with a person we all those days had trained, helped and trusted as a colleague. What happens here is a vicious planned act by two persons only. Trust this awful privacy violation of private emails can be removed and oversighted here as soon as possible and the culprits held accountable here. MoiraMoira (talk) 18:58, 28 November 2014 (UTC)
- MoiraMoira when you approached me to delete the images you made representations to me that you greatly value your privacy and that you did not want these images in which you were clearly identifiable on Commons because of privacy concerns. You also cited Dutch law which talks about people who are not in the public eye, to which I told you that it wasn't necessary to delete those images with that law in mind, the fact that you didn't want images of yourself on Commons was enough in my mind. It was a deletion that was made inline with the Wikimedia Foundation Resolution on Images of Identifiable people.

- At the recent happenings over at Meta you also made similar representations in relation to your privacy. When I heard about this, I told you privately that I am sorry that this occurred to you, given that I had recently found out about a similar case of an editor gloating that they had all but stalked the home of my parents, and told you that if you have any issues in future to please feel free to contact me and I will try to help.
- Whilst I appreciate your willingness to let Trijnstel off-the-hook here, given your friendship with her, we can not simply let this slide here on Commons. Trijnstel holds advanced permissions which require the utmost of trust. She was well aware of the reasons for the deletion of those images, and she should not have, under any circumstances, provided them to anyone, let alone an editor who was not an admin on this project. We expect advanced permission holders to abide by the various privacy policies that are required to be abided by, and her actions have shown a complete lack of judgement.
- Trijnstel needs to provide sound reasoning for the release of those images to JurgenNL and how the release of those images were allowed for in the privacy policy and how doing so showed sound judgement on her part. Vindictive, retaliatory indefinite blocks, such as those imposed by Natuur12 on Dutch Wikipedia on both JurgenNL and myself after this issue was raised, will not make it go away. Nor will comments by you MoiraMoira defending your long-time friend here; as much as I respect you defending your friend, you have made comments and given representations elsewhere, which if we allow to affect this issue, it only goes to lessen your complaint on those other issues.
- Jcb we are willing to AGF on this project, and I hope that Trijnstel's response will be forthcoming in a timely fashion; i.e. we aren't going to wait forever. I hope we will not require another OC investigation, but that she will resign the tools she holds if she can't provide valid and sound reasoning for what is a gross violation of the privacy policy and the trust that she was supposed to hold in the highest regard. Let's just wait a day or so for Trijnstel to respond here. russavia (talk) 03:57, 29 November 2014 (UTC)
AN/U
Trijnstel, please see Commons:Administrators'_noticeboard/User_problems#Abuse_of_trust_by_Trijnstel. russavia (talk) 13:02, 30 November 2014 (UTC)
A kitten for you!
Because there needs to be at least one message of comfort on your talk page in times like these :)
I appreciate your sincerity and willingness to express your feelings at the AN/U discussion.
I thought about participating in that discussion, but I knew right from the start that the stakes were lower than they appeared; no one -- not you, and not Russavia -- is going to be desysopped as a result of that discussion. That discussion won't result in any changes, so there isn't any point in me joining that discussion.
I'm sorry if you were expecting the discussion to result in justice rather than the continuation of the status quo, but it's hard to change anything at Commons.
