Giuseppe Scarabone, not Pancrazio Buciunì
[edit]- Hallo Steven, thank you for your enthusiasm, but I just read your annotation to this page, and it is plain wrong. In fact, the Malambrì family and the Buciunì family are two different families, not related in any way.
- It is false Pancrazio only had daughters, he also had male sons, whose grand-grand children still live in Taormina bearing his surname. His grandchild Pancrazio Buciunì jr is one of my sources about him.
- Furthermore this model's name is given on the envelope of one negative currently in Florence as "Pepe Scarabone", whereas in other photos he is called "Peppino". Therefore, his name was Giuseppe Scarabone. I will appreciate your help in compiling Gloeden's catalogue, provided that before you add some information, you cross-check it.
- Eventually, I would be grateful if you could share with us the source for the image and the information you shared in this upload of yours. It is a very nice scan, but where did you get the information about it being a selfportrait, and about the year it was shot in? Thank you in advance. --User:G.dallorto (talk) 11:08, 28 July 2023 (UTC)
