Some images
In all four cases the license is obvious - it's PD-old. Image:Abdallah_Nirqi.jpg is from the Xth century, but I don't remember it's source. Images Image:Abgarowicz.jpg, Image:Adamczewski.jpg and Image:Adolf_Abrahamowicz.jpg are from the XIX century - they are downloaded from PBI, a big Polish internet library. Hi, I'm Ghedo form Italy. Sorry for my bad English! I've uploaded an image of a snake, the mussurana, but I've seen that there were some problems of copyright (?) just now. I didn't think so... Help needed
I'd appreciate your help on how to provide information to a picture I've uploaded today which I copied from Russian Wikipedia. The picture is YegorGaidar.jpg. It has permission from Gaidar's staff to be used on Internet, but what should I write (and where) to avoid picture being deleted in seven days? Mezjuev 19:16, 11 September 2007 (UTC)
- Permission to be used on the Internet is unfortunately not sufficient. An image on Commons requires to be under a license that allows anybody to use the image for any purpose. Please ask them to license the image under a free license, such as the Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 or the GNU Free Documentation License and forward a copy of the email to permissions-commons@wikimedia.org. Consider using the template from Commons:Email templates. -- Bryan (talk to me) 10:28, 12 September 2007 (UTC)
Hello Suebrand, and thank your for your message in my discussion page! I'm not sure what kind of a problem regarding the description and/or licensing of this particular file exists. Since the pic is taken by me and from my camera, what kind of tags do you exactly need for this pic? also I live in the States! --سندباد 07:14, 12 September 2007 (UTC)
- Hi. Please choose a suitable free license, such as the GNU Free Documentation License or one of the Creative Commons licenses in that list. You can then replace the no-license warning on the page by a specific license template. -- Bryan (talk to me) 10:25, 12 September 2007 (UTC)

Help about Image:62393-screenshot2.png
I just added the image in Commons and I'm not sure with the licence.
The image is a free skin for a free application in KDE. I wrote to the creator to be sure that he agrees that teir images would be here. What can be the licence in this case.
Could you please tell me how to correct the licence in any case. Indeed, when the image is uploaded, I cann't find the button to chose and fill the licence.
Thanks and sorry for my bad english and my bad knowledge in rights.
--SerSpock 12:23, 16 September 2007 (UTC)
- Hi. You have to check the license of the product. Possibly that is a GPL license, in which case the license here would also be GPL. In all cases the image would only be allowed if the license is free. {{Please name images}} with an informative name... Cheers! Siebrand 13:29, 16 September 2007 (UTC)

Groet, Siebrand 09:48, 17 September 2007 (UTC)

Small error by CommonsDelinker bot at English Wikipedia
Hi Siebrand,
your bot made an error here[3], where half of the name of an already replaced image was removed because the second half of the name of the new image was the same as the name of the deleted old image. It seems to be a rather singular error, not some repeating bug (from a cursory glance at the bot contribs), but still, it might be worth looking into. I'll correct the page involved, this is just for your information. Fram 18:43, 17 September 2007 (UTC)

Siebrand 15:07, 18 September 2007 (UTC)

This image is in the public domain according to Article 31 of the "Law on Copyright and Related Rights" of the Republic of Macedonia, and it is in free use:
|
Dear Siebrand. I am new in WikiMedia and in Wikipedia in general, but I am willing to give contributions on Macedonia related articles. Today I created this PD-RM Template which is in accordance with the "Law on Copyright and Related Rights" of the Republic of Macedonia. But several minutes ago it was proposed for deletion. I know that you are busy, but could you please check the template, and see if it is all right. And if there is something that you disapprove, could you please help me improve the template. I would be very grateful. Thanks in advance. Revizionist 14:09, 19 September 2007 (UTC)
- Please discuss this at Commons talk:Licensing. We need a broad consensus when accepting new license templates. Please also remember that *all* media require sources, regardless of their copyright or license status. We often see (obvious) public domain media without a source that are being deleted. The reason for this is that we are usually a starting point for research, and users need to be able to verify the claims made in media descriptions. Cheers! Siebrand 07:52, 20 September 2007 (UTC)

Commonsdelinker on af.wikipedia
Hi there,
For some reason the Commonsdelinker isn't providing the reason given for many of the deleted images it removes, (see [4]). I was about to scold the admins for not providing the reason when the delete an image, but I've noticed that they do, only the bot doesn't seem to pick it up in many cases. Don't know if this is an error or if it is fixable, but I thought it prudent to give you a head's up. Cheers, Anrie 14:49, 19 September 2007 (UTC)

God! I am so annoyed right now =
This is regards to, among others, these two pictures:
God! Sorry if I am a bit annoyed sounding, but I am. It is because of reckless "copy and paste" editing that many of my legitimate contributions to Wikipedia have been deleted. You have pasted the same message several times about incorrect licenses existing on pictures that are perfectly licensed. And if they aren't, you claim further info is on the pictures them selves but I can't find anything. Please STOP incorrectly labeling my contributions. And if you have any honor, please immediately come to my talk page and apologize. I have been offended by this reckless tagging of legitimate contributions. Nesnad 12:43, 21 September 2007 (UTC)

The Delmerensmolen story
Hello Siebrand.
Groeten --LimoWreck 15:29, 22 September 2007 (UTC)
- Yep.
Groet, Siebrand 17:45, 22 September 2007 (UTC)

I think I goofed when I tagged Image:Resica_Falls_1971_camp_patch.png for deletion. It apparently has an OTRS ticket. Delinker feature request
Instead of completely removing images, would it be possible to instead replace a deleted image with a similar one that still exists? That would keep the bot from stripping articles left and right of pictures (just because an image is a copyvio doesn't mean the article needs to suffer). EVula // talk // ☯ // 16:38, 22 September 2007 (UTC)
- This is always possible, but we need to have that image identified. If you are aware of pending deletions with an alternative, please note this at User:CommonsDelinker/commands. We unfortunately cannot be forced to try and look for alternatives for every image, as we have about 1000 deletions every day, which is a number that is rising rather than declining... Cheers! Siebrand 17:24, 22 September 2007 (UTC)
- Eh, makes sense. I'll try to keep a closer eye on the deletion pages; I only caught this because it removed an image from Carcharodon carcharias and the "check usage" tool was lagging a bit. Thanks. Would it be possible to run a bot a second time, but re-linking images (the exact map of which pages to go to being pulled from the bot's history)? Just a random thought. EVula // talk // ☯ // 19:38, 22 September 2007 (UTC)
- Logically it would seem possible to me. How to put this in a program, I would not know. User:Bryan programs the bot and I run it. Best ask him... I also have a few feature requests pending :) Cheers! Siebrand 21:05, 22 September 2007 (UTC)

this was moved by Siebot to Category:Galleria Vittorio Emanuel II (Milan). Do you plan to edit all the wikipedia pages that point to this and correct them to show the new name? user:traveler100 25 September 2007

- I am looking into things. There is a deletion request on fr.wp on the category. Siebrand 08:17, 26 September 2007 (UTC)
- Actually the deletion request on WP fr: is more about the exact name of the category, since "Plus beaux villages de France" is misspelled (the article "Les" have to be included in the title to avoid confusion). Bibi Saint-Pol (sprechen) 09:41, 26 September 2007 (UTC)

Image deletion warning | Image:John_Rep_3.jpg has been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether it should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at its entry. If you created this image, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it, such as a copyright issue. If the file is up for deletion because it has been superseded by a superior derivative of your work, consider the notion that although the file may be deleted, your hard work (which we all greatly appreciate) lives on in the new file. |

Category:"Baroque art" problem by Siebot
Hi, Siebot created a seemingly "closed loop" (Endlosschleife) by turning "Category:Baroque" into "Category:Baroque art", as the latter was (seemingly) already a sub-category of "Baroque". Can YOU fix that, please? Looking forward to your answer HERE. WeHaWoe 17:33, 26 September 2007 (UTC)

Requested moves
Hello,
My opinion about requests in Category:Requested moves:
- Requested moves from A-T
- Category:Maps of Bruges Oppose
- Category:Port of Bruges-Zeebrugge Oppose
- Category:The most beautiful villages of France the proposed destination is incorrect, since this category is used to gather villages of France featured by the association Les Plus Beaux Villages de France. The correct name is Category:Plus Beaux Villages de France (English usage with uppercase letters, no definite article)
- Requested moves beyond Z
- Category:פיקניק פסח 2007 move to Category:Wikimedian meetup Tel Aviv 2007
- Category:三·一八惨案 move to Category:March 18 Massacre
- Category:五卅运动 move to Category:May 30 Movement
- Category:河童 delete (duplicate of Category:Kappa)

- Thanks! Expecially for finding out about the more exotic ones. I'll process them tomorrow or Friday. Then I'll have gotten rid of a 450 move request backlog. On to the next :( Siebrand 22:51, 26 September 2007 (UTC)
Image:Logo modem.gif
Regarding this image, File:Logo modem.gif, it can be deleted as it is the logo of a political party and, hence, not accepted on commons. No need to wait for a licence that can't come. ;)

Help needed.
Dear Siebrand. I need your help with a very serious and annoying issue. I became a member of Wikimedia commons in order to contribute to Wikipedia as a whole. I've uploaded some very interesting and useful information connected with anthropology and history research. But the user User:ForeignerFromTheEast is constantly vandalizing my contributions by deleting the license tags. By doing this he is disturbing my contribution process. Other users have warned him for vandalism on his talk page, but he keeps on deleting the licenses and the comments on his talk page. Please check his contributions and you will see that the only thing he does is deleting my contributions. Please act by the protocol and give him a warning. This kind of behavior is not allowed on Wikimedia. With respect. Revizionist 21:16, 27 September 2007 (UTC)
- The user has been uploading falsified licences. All his images were deleted from the English wikipedia and now he is attempting to transfer them here. ForeignerFromTheEast 19:21, 27 September 2007 (UTC)
Hello. Excuse me for my mistake. I put a licence on it but, how can I do ? I didn't take the pictures but one of my friend did. Is this the good licence ? thanks for your help. --TaraO 06:27, 28 September 2007 (UTC)

Groet, Siebrand 14:43, 4 October 2007 (UTC)

Problematic BG User
Hello Siebrand, I need your help with a user from Bulgaria, who seems to be deliberately disruptive. I was prompted that this contribution of User:Laino (translated nickname meaning "shit") is misleading: The filename reads Horus, the Ancient Egyptian god, see Image:Horus 3.jpg while the image depicts Thoth, see en:Image:Thothbw3.JPG. Different bird heads, the image is already in use locally.
Image Image:Статуя от Карнак.jpg, uploaded as PD-self was taken from here. The rest of them I have no patience to search for, but I am absolutely sure they're copyvio too. Please, have a look, delete, and consider if the user's nickname is intolerable. Thanks, Spiritia 22:05, 1 October 2007 (UTC)

Image Tagging Image:VolvoC30_3.JPG
Hi, I've never indicated the author on the pictures uploaded through my bot and I indicated GFDL cause I took all the pictures myself, at that time, i think there was no need to indicate the author as i thought it was implicit i was him (i may be wrong). As I nearly don't participate anymore to wikipedia cause i'm busy, i can't put my name on all the files i uploaded. Though I would be really disappointed to see all my pictures deleted as i took me a lot of time last year so could you find a bot to do it, i certify all the pictures uploaded by my bot were taken by me. I'm aware of the rules, i used to be very active last year on french wikipedia. Thanks. Ton1 (can you answer there and not on commons please)
- If you somehow produce a list of media you claim authorship to, I can take care of tagging those correctly. I think you should best start with the uploads of you and your bot. If you create a page with a list of image, not necessarily linked, and add something like I am sole copyright holder of these media and they have been licensed 'such and such', I will take care of the rest. Will that do? Cheers! Siebrand 07:55, 5 October 2007 (UTC)

- Pardon me, a further question. If I had not given a source, what would have happened? Would you have deleted it? Cygnis insignis 05:21, 6 October 2007 (UTC)
- Yes. All media required a source for verification purposes. Without them, we will eventually be providing information that is not trustworthy. These terms are also clearly mentioned on upload forms and policies. Cheers! Siebrand 09:13, 6 October 2007 (UTC)
- I find that unacceptable and alarming. Why not do a simple search to establish if it public domain? I imagine this takes the same time as tagging and deleting it, you assume responsibility to find the best solution when you do. Deleting an obviously PD image, otherwise well documented, is tantamount to vandalism. It took me very little time to establish its veracity. I can see no other way of viewing this, or, regrettably, a more civil way of pointing it out. Please do not point out the policy, it is simple common courtesy to the person who gave their time to uploading and describing the image. source tags in PD-Art
unnecessary, VERY unnecesary. the provenance of the copy we use does not affect the copyright question with PD-Art files in ANY way. in the case of a 2000 year old fresco, it becomes quite absurd to demand a source. --Snotty 19:16, 5 October 2007 (UTC)

File Problem
Hi Siebrand, I just got a message from you (demanding a copyright validation for a file I was trying to upload). In fact the copyright is less my problem than a peculiar failure to get the file represented on screen. I have no idea what to think of the problem. Might I be able to send you one of the problematic files via e-mail for a check whether they appear all right on your screen? (German wikisource asked me to upload these files into commons...) --Olaf Simons 10:06, 6 October 2007 (UTC)
- This is a known issue with images that have large dimensions. I think the developers have made a particular setting to not be vulnerable for certain DoS attacks, where the parser tries to create a thumbnail for huge images, which costs a lot of memory. You could downsize the images a bit (to under 10 megapixel) and upload them over the exisiting image. That way, someone really interested can still download the original high resolution image. P.s. Do not forget to {{Please tag images}}. Cheers! Siebrand 11:01, 6 October 2007 (UTC)
Unknown issue
Same here. Images that I uploaded were from Wikipedia. These images are seals which are not copyrighted. The message I get did not state how to resolve it. --Filipinayzd 11:09, 6 October 2007 (UTC)
- Hi Filipinayzd. Please be more precise. What is the issue with which image? Please be aware, that in general, an image that was present in a Wikipedia, is not necessarily allowed and/or sourced well enough on Wikimedia Commons. See COM:L for details. Cheers! Siebrand 11:11, 6 October 2007 (UTC)
- It's demanding. Will images in our Wiki project (incubator) be moved (meaning, we need not upload them AGAIN) to our own wiki once the project has been approved? Thanks. --Filipinayzd 11:35, 6 October 2007 (UTC)
- If you are uploading image to incubator and not to Commons, they are only available in Incubator wiki. If you upload them to Commons, you can use them on Incubator. Once the articles containing the images are moved to their own language Wikipedia, they are transparantly used there.
- So yes: if they are on Incubator, you have to upload them again. I would advise against uploading project related to Incubator if it has a free license and is sufficiently sourced. Cheers! Siebrand 12:54, 6 October 2007 (UTC)

User talk page edits
Hi! I'm just a bit puzzled about this edit, where you seem to have edited and deleted some of the messages I left on another user's talk page. Was this intentional? —LX (talk, contribs) 20:57, 6 October 2007 (UTC)
- Yes. The text was parsed by one of Magnus' tools (http://tools.wikimedia.de/~magnus/comdel.php). It appears to strip comments. I removed a deletion warning on a kept file (I hope). OK? Siebrand 21:13, 6 October 2007 (UTC)
- I'd rather such notices be kept, so that users can see that their images have been up for discussion and so that it doesn't look like they weren't notified. If you want, add a comment saying the deletion discussion was closed and that the image was kept, but I don't think simply deleting comments is in keeping with the spirit of Commons:Talk page guidelines. If that's is the default behaviour of the tool, I think it needs to be changed. —LX (talk, contribs) 22:48, 6 October 2007 (UTC)
- Sure, no problem. I'll leave them on the talk page. Because it was part of the tool, I assumed it was part of the process. This makes the process easier, so I happily drop that part :) Cheers! Siebrand 09:16, 7 October 2007 (UTC)

Category discussion notification | Category:Messier objects has been listed at Commons:Categories for discussion so that the community can discuss whether it should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at its entry. If you created this category, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it. If the category is up for deletion because it has been superseded, consider the notion that although the category may be deleted, your hard work (which we all greatly appreciate) lives on in the new category. |

Coats Category check
Hello, Siebrand, I completed the 12 subcategories of Category:Coats of arms of municipalities of the Netherlands. I had made first as experiment an (hand-made) content and a one-category-up catscan link, which helped me greatly to eliminate wrong files, find doubles and all missing files. This is a semi-closed finite collection now. Could you have a look at it and give your judgment? Greetings. Havang 18:36, 7 October 2007 (UTC)
- I saw your work pop up on my watchlist for a few days already. Excellent stuff! Is it really complete, or are some (which?) elements still missing? Cheers! Siebrand 19:37, 7 October 2007 (UTC)
- It is complete, except for possible mistakes and for upcoming fusions of munipalities. The sin escudo's are recently formed municipalities which have no coat yet or which will not demand for a coat (especially in Limburg). One or two municipalities (in Overijssel, I believe) have decided to ask for one. I could do this, thanks to the introduction of the list of communities in the categorie page. I discovered that (a)a catscan link for a upper cat is helpful; (b) I have to use selection keys;(c) it should be possible to fuse categorie-pages with the corresponding page-pages. Greetings Havang 20:00, 7 October 2007 (UTC)

- Thanks for your prompt action, though my request was not very courteous. My concern is to improve Commons methods, not to make the authors of mistakes feel guilty. “Latium” was the name of the English article for Lazio one year ago. Now, Latium is for an ancient region of Italy, so Category:Latium could be reused. --Juiced lemon 10:51, 12 October 2007 (UTC)

sourcing of images
Hello,
I just created a user account on Wikimedia Commons so that I could put an image that is on the English version of Wikipedia onto the Italian site. I really have no idea how to use images or Wikimedia Commons, I just wanted to start a missing page on the Italian Wikipedia and wanted an image to go with it. The image has the same name as the one on the English version of Wikipedia, which is licensed under the GNU Free Documentation License. So yeah, I don't know what or how to do whatever I should/need to do, but the image is in the public domain, I just wanted to use it on a different project.

Hello
Hello Siebrand: Sorry for my very trully bad english. It's not my lenguage... Sorry againg. But, I need write you because i see yours message in my userpage. You are worry for the copyright of the following images: Image:Alday.jpg , Image:La_Araucana.jpg, Image:AcorazadoLatorre2.jpg...It seems to me that all these images are evidently of public domain. The first one of them (Alday) is a picture of 1772. The second image is the front page of a book of 1569. The third one is a postcard of anonymous author who circulated in Chile in 1920, which is not a property of any publishing house. I respect and admire your scrupulous work. And, obviously, you are in your right to request supplementary informations, in case of you thinking thats are absent. Only... I wanted to comment to you: that these images were raised of good faith. And that seems to me... to be a bit excessive the existing paranoia respect of the copyright, in this type of cases. Or probably I do not understand well the Commons's policies and instructions. Many regards. Saludos y gracias. Carrilano 01:17, 12 October 2007 (UTC)
- Hi Carrilano. Any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Sourcing is not just about establishing a copyright status or license status, but also about credibility. The images you reference have not been sourced properly. The tag says I should provide a source. I gave the source as its page on German wikipedia. It's an old painting - the subject died in 1801. I've tried to find out who painted it, but no luck so far. Am I doing something wrong? --Lec CRP1 10:36, 12 October 2007 (UTC)
- Yes and no: you named a source, but is not an original source, as the work does not appear to have been created by the user that uploaded it on the German language Wikipedia. You should add a more reliable source, like a museum website or something. http://images.google.com is usually a nice platform for finding sources for public domain material. Cheers! Siebrand 10:53, 12 October 2007 (UTC)
- I had already looked on Google Images. I could only find four examples of that image - (1) German Wikipedia (2) the Spanish forum of 'Hola!' magazine (3) a personal web page with a link to the file (4) Something called 'Braunschweiger Jaeger' which seems to be some kind of festival. I have not been able to find out who created it, so are we to assume it's an 'illegal' file?--Lec CRP1 01:46, 13 October 2007 (UTC)
- Clearly someone created this file, but I can't find who. I've looked on various museum sites and can't find it. Google Images, as I said above, is no help either. Despite your implication, I do check the sources for images. I thought that since this is a photographic reproduction of an obviously old painting, it must be in the public domain. If this isn't good enough, you may as well delete it now, as I have no hope of finding an 'acceptable' source.--Lec CRP1 22:47, 13 October 2007 (UTC)

Tagging Shizhao's recent uploads
See Commons:Administrators' noticeboard/Attention#Chinese user requested to help solve issue with no source tagged uploads by user:Shizhao. They are all properly sourced and attributed as part of transferring images from local wikis to Commons. O2 (息 • 吹) 17:57, 13 October 2007 (GMT)
- It would be *really great* if CommonsHelper was used, or if *at least* {{Information}} was used. There is *extemely* little anyone not being able to read simplified/traditional Chinese could conclude from the current description. There was no other choice but to nominate them as unsourced. Shizhao is a sysop. We could expect more from him, if not at the moment of original upload, then at least some effort to fix the mistakes unintentionally made in that past... Cheers! This image appears to be damaged. It's over a year old, so I don't remember what it was from. I can't see the image so I can't determine if it's one of mine, or something I have permission for, or it may very well be from a public domain source like a U.S. Government agency. The images
Hello, Siebrand! Thanks for your care for the tagging of images - I understand its important, but in this particular case there is not much to worry about. You say that the information I provided is "a) not precise, and b) tiny". As for a): it is as precise as it gets. Those figures are common reproductions that can be found on a million different sites. I can't remember where did I get them, so I found that one. I don't know what else you want, but on my recent uploads (these ones are years old) I tried to give more detailed information. As for b) tiny, I could actually make a joke about it, but I won't ;) Less is More... (if you are familiar with minimalism) muriel@pt 17:32, 14 October 2007 (UTC)
Some work for SieBot
Hi Siebrand,
I would like to submit you some search/replace work for SieBot.
The job would be to find every ocurrence of the Template:Blason-fr-en-it in Image: namespace, and to replace in it each ocurrence of source= by sourcefr=.
There are about 1000 items to be processed... This is intended as a preparatory work before using {{COAInformation}} instead of {{Blason-fr-en-it}}.
Thanks in advance for your help,

- Hi Alno. That will not be much of a problem. It will have to wait until this evening, though, as I have no access to my bots at the moment. Check back here and look for a done :P Cheers! Siebrand 07:57, 12 October 2007 (UTC)

- There currently is a bug in the bot framework. I have to wait until a developer fixes it... On it, though... Siebrand 19:17, 12 October 2007 (UTC)

Robot
Hi. How did you make SieBot? I know some programming, can I help with anything? Monobi 21:03, 14 October 2007 (UTC)
- See User:SieBot for some explanation. Evrything is written in python. If you are a skilled programmer in that language, you are most welcome to join the team. I myself am not a programmer, but User:Bryan, User:Valhallasw, User:Betacommand and User:Filnik are working on pywikipediabot. They may also be able to get you up to speed. You may want to join #pywikipediabot on the Frrnode IRC network. Cheers! Siebrand 21:08, 14 October 2007 (UTC)
The image actually was on the main portal, http://wikimedia.org, until it was replaced sometime last year with the new Wikisource logo - I do not know if it is actually being used any more (note that that edit I made was back in July 2005). – ABCD✉ 21:43, 14 October 2007 (UTC)
- Hmm, OK. I'll move to replacing it using CheckUsage and delete it when it is not used anymore. Thank you for the feedback. Cheers! Siebrand 22:18, 14 October 2007 (UTC)
simplifying monobook
Hi Siebrand, thank you for the modification of my monobook. Is there a reason not to mention this way in the installation-infos on i.e. MediaWiki_talk:Quick-delete.js#Installation_info? --Lyzzy 21:45, 14 October 2007 (UTC)
- Documentation tends to become outdated as time passes. Feel free to update :) Cheers! Siebrand 22:17, 14 October 2007 (UTC)
Source and change of licence for Image:Tortue_rayonnee.jpg
Hi, thanks for your message concerning Image:Tortue_rayonnee.jpg : i took this image from http://www.dinosoria.com/tortue_rayonnee.htm and the attached licence was GFDL/fr when i uploaded such picture. However, it seems that the website changed the licence concerning this picture with a really unclear licence (see http://www.dinosoria.com/licence_libre.htm in french), i.e. they write that it's free but they forbid to re-use the picture for some commercial use. So as a consequence, do as you wish for this picture according to the Commons licence policy : if you estimate that we can keep this picture on commons it would be great, if not i will not feel guilty anyway as it was the website who changed the licence and not me. Best Regards.
Groet, Siebrand 17:42, 15 October 2007 (UTC)
Hello Siebrand,
Regarding your kind request to amend the licensing information for the mentioned image, I would like to state as follows: the image I have uploaded is made by me, that is Stefan Maruszeczko and its copyrights has been entirely given for free to use by members of the Transmisja (grupa muzyczna) (Music band) which members are shown on it.
I am not a computer expert, nor programmer or so, and I do not really know what to do now with this issue.
The musicians has asked me to upload any photos i have made of them once to wiki and i did it, but i don't really know how to manage this situation with the licence tags now.
Please advise me how to proceed, or edit it following my statement accordingly.
Thank you in advance, Stefan
- Hi Stefan. I made this edit to fix it. If you disapprove in any way, or if I have in any way misrepresented the truth and/or your intentions, please let me know. Cheers! Siebrand 17:39, 15 October 2007 (UTC)
