User talk:Rovheel~commonswiki
Our first steps tour and our frequently asked questions will help you a lot after registration. They explain how to customize the interface (for example the language), how to upload files and our basic licensing policy (Wikimedia Commons only accepts free content). You don't need technical skills in order to contribute here. Be bold when contributing and assume good faith when interacting with others. This is a wiki. More information is available at the community portal. You may ask questions at the help desk, village pump or on IRC channel #wikimedia-commons (webchat). You can also contact an administrator on their talk page. If you have a specific copyright question, ask at the copyright village pump. |

Tip: Categorizing images
[edit]
Thanks a lot for contributing to the Wikimedia Commons! Here's a tip to make your uploads more useful: Why not add some categories to describe them? This will help more people to find and use them.
Here's how:
1) If you're using the UploadWizard, you can add categories to each file when you describe it. Just click "more options" for the file and add the categories which make sense:
2) You can also pick the file from your list of uploads, edit the file description page, and manually add the category code at the end of the page.
[[Category:Category name]]
For example, if you are uploading a diagram showing the orbits of comets, you add the following code:
[[Category:Astronomical diagrams]]
[[Category:Comets]]
This will make the diagram show up in the categories "Astronomical diagrams" and "Comets".
When picking categories, try to choose a specific category ("Astronomical diagrams") over a generic one ("Illustrations").
Thanks again for your uploads! More information about categorization can be found in Commons:Categories, and don't hesitate to leave a note on the help desk.CategorizationBot (talk) 18:29, 20 November 2011 (UTC)

What you did with File:Eugene-domingo2011.jpg is not acceptable. You grabbed a file from the web and uploaded it here with false claim of own work. And not enough, to show strongly express your relation to 'your' work you even wrote your name into the EXIF data.
Now you repeated this. File:Toni Gonzaga 2011.jpg is stolen from http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-7s9pPS758fY/TVd3q0Ff6jI/AAAAAAAAUi0/tszYlcznRPI/s1600/IMG_1368_2.jpg, mirrored and cutted out, your name again written in the EXIF and uploaded here with lie of own work. Since you show zero intention to stop this rotten uploads I've blocked your account. --Martin H. (talk) 18:26, 26 November 2011 (UTC)
I've also made it so this user can't edit their talkpage because their sole edits to this talkpage were to remove the content and request speedy deletion. INeverCry 18:27, 8 November 2012 (UTC)
Your account will be renamed
[edit]Hello,
The developer team at Wikimedia is making some changes to how accounts work, as part of our on-going efforts to provide new and better tools for our users like cross-wiki notifications. These changes will mean you have the same account name everywhere. This will let us give you new features that will help you edit and discuss better, and allow more flexible user permissions for tools. One of the side-effects of this is that user accounts will now have to be unique across all 900 Wikimedia wikis. See the announcement for more information.
Unfortunately, your account clashes with another account also called Rovheel. To make sure that both of you can use all Wikimedia projects in future, we have reserved the name Rovheel~commonswiki that only you will have. If you like it, you don't have to do anything. If you do not like it, you can pick out a different name.
Your account will still work as before, and you will be credited for all your edits made so far, but you will have to use the new account name when you log in.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
Yours,
Keegan Peterzell
