Décrivez de quoi il retourne en une phrase courte. (Que montre l'image ?)
Indiquez qui est l'auteur et quelle est la date de création. Si vous avez réalisé le document vous-même, dites-le explicitement. Si le document est du fait d'un autre utilisateur de Wikipédia, faites un lien vers la page locale de cet utilisateur.
Si vous n'avez pas créé le document vous-même, indiquez la source où vous l'avez obtenu.
Ajoutez un bandeau de licence - les images sans indication pertinente de licence seront supprimées.
Ajoutez un lien vers l'image dans une ou plusieurs pages de galeries et/ou catégories pertinentes, de manière à ce qu'elle puisse être trouvée par les autres utilisateurs. Pour trouver l'emplacement approprié, vous pouvez utiliser l'outil CommonSense (qu'on pourrait traduire en BonSens).

Thanks a lot for contributing to the Wikimedia Commons! Here's a tip to make your uploads more useful: Why not add some categories to describe them? This will help more people to find and use them.

Here's how:

1) If you're using the UploadWizard, you can add categories to each file when you describe it. Just click "more options" for the file and add the categories which make sense:

2) You can also pick the file from your list of uploads, edit the file description page, and manually add the category code at the end of the page.

[[Category:Category name]]

For example, if you are uploading a diagram showing the orbits of comets, you add the following code:

[[Category:Astronomical diagrams]]

[[Category:Comets]]

This will make the diagram show up in the categories "Astronomical diagrams" and "Comets".

When picking categories, try to choose a specific category ("Astronomical diagrams") over a generic one ("Illustrations").

Bonjour, J’ai ouvert plusieurs articles qui sont liés sur un site commun :; « Chapelle Notre-Dame de Sépuque » ; Ferme « Bastide le Colombier » et « Moulin-Vieux » J’ai essayé avec bien des difficultés de scinder les illustrations part type de site mais ne parvient pas à ouvrir une sous catégorie concernant le « Moulin-Vieux » Category:Ampus Sous-catégories · [+] Chapelle Notre-Dame de Spéluque (1 C, 11 F) · [×] Ferme "Bastide Le Colombier" (7 F) Comment dois-je faire ? Bonjour

J'entends bien et ne conteste pas du tout l'intérêt de ce panneau. Le problème est qu'il s'agit d'une oeuvre graphique, qui est en tant que telle protégée par le droit d'auteur : si le dessinateur ne la place pas sous licence libre, elle ne peut figurer sur Commmons (ce serait une contrefaçon de l'oeuvre de ce graphiste)

L'église photographiée est bien celle de "La Bresse" et non de "Saulxures-sur-Moselotte", commune sur laquelle j'étais également intervenu pour la création de divers articles (*) et pour l'actualisation de l'article consacré à la commune.

2- Musée du bois de Saulxures-sur-Moselotte — Wikipédia (wikipedia.org)

When you want to ask for speedy-delete of an empty category, best practice is to mark it with either:

{{SD|C2}} ("unuseful empty category") if it would be OK to re-create it in the future, given that appropriate content becomes available

{{SD|C1}} ("improperly named category") if it is an inappropriate category name that should not be reused (e.g. typos).

"C1" and "C2" come from Commons:Criteria for speedy deletion. You could also use of the following:

{{badname|current category name}}

{{speedy|empty, misspelled category name}}

The above templates (SD, speedy, Badname) expand to full speedy deletion requests.
In particular, this is better practice than just blanking the category page. Blanked categories end up on Special:UncategorizedCategories, which is largely handled by non-admins who cannot delete the categories in question.
