Controllo

[edit]

Ciao e grazie (rispondi casomai su wikipedia, altrimenti non me ne accorgo), shakayou talkin to me? 09:15, 15 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

redundant or not redundant? :-)

[edit]

Buona Pasqua comunque! :-) --Kal-El post here! 14:02, 16 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Template

[edit]

I did check the list of tags, but it was not there. So I assumed that the most logical choice is the name used in en wiki. Anyway, a redirect should still be there. Halibutt 22:17, 21 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Una domanda

[edit]

Grazie. --Starlight 12:02, 27 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Please use English or French in Lombard Wikipedia

[edit]

Hello, I beg you do not talk Italian tongue in Lombard wikipedia: Lombard is heading towards becoming a moribund language, mainly because Lombard people do not speak it enough (why? this should be quite a long item to be discussed). In any case it is a quite far tongue from Italian, except for superstratum effects. So, if you do not want to learn a little bit of our toungue, please talk in English or French. Best regards --lmo:user:clamengh 16:48 27 April 2006 (UTC)

Images in Lombard wikipedia

[edit]

Hello, local images in Lombard wikipedia are all taken from other wikipediae: and this fact is remarked by the 'GNU' notation accompaining each of them. As to closing the local upload, I oppose: there is no reason for such an un-wiki idea. Best regards --lmo:user:clamengh 16:48 27 April 2006 (UTC)

Images in pms

[edit]

Hi! just back from Holland and still feel a bit of rolling under my feet, as if I still was on the boat, so excuse me if I'll sound stupid at times :) Yes, I'm the admin@pms. Don't worry about not knowing the pms language, as the same applies to most of mankind :) As for closing local uploads, it looks like a centralized server would be set up, and that sounds pretty ok for me, I just wonder how the localized interfaces are going to be handled. Most of our users do not speak english at all. Also... some 20-30% of the pms speaking community is made of argentinian residents, so it would be pretty difficult for me to anchor the evaluation of PD to Italy. Does PD-Italy mean that the image was SHOT in Italy, or that it was shot by an italian citizen/resident anywhere in the universe? --212.42.75.235 08:59, 28 April 2006 (UTC) my page on pms[reply]

  • Hi again! one more question about the central server for images: how are you going to cope with descriptions that come into a number of different languages? I mean I do like the idea of setting up a central repository, it's just the amount of work connected to it that let's me wondering whether it makes sense to do it... Nonetheless, if we can make it, it would be nice. But only if ALL wiki version would give up their local archives, otherwise there is no use for it. Pls, answer on my my page on pms, as I am really overburdened with work and rarely have time to go round checking for answers on outer spaces :) --Bèrto 'd Sèra 10:02, 3 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • Ciao!

You may not use the Image

[.omissis.]

SELLING AND REDISTRIBUTION OF THE IMAGE (INDIVIDUALLY OR ALONG WITH OTHER IMAGES) IS STRICTLY FORBIDDEN! DO NOT SHARE THE IMAGE WITH OTHERS!

Ciao --Luigi Chiesa 16:49, 15 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I am afraid I have to insist you should not use Italian on lmo wikipedia

[edit]
  • Where is Lombardy is an irrelevant issue; and there is a Lombard speaking area which is not Italy. In Lombard wikipedia you are a stranger, and as such you are welcome if you respect this community's rules. I insist: please speak English: speaking Italian could be considered vandalism against Lombard tongue. Please behave as we had not Italian in common. If there is something official by commons to be communicated, I think that an English or French speaker should be charged instead.lmo:user:Clamengh 28/04/06 18:10 UTC+1

Nemmeno io parlo siciliano

[edit]

Hehe Ciao! E allora ti rispondo in italiano. Abbiamo parlato del problema pochi giorni fa in it:wiki, mi sembra.
Fotografie in CC

[edit]

Ciao Red devil 666, prima del nostro incontro in IRC ho caricato queste fotografie:

In dettaglio:

Grazie ancora --Ciano 16:38, 2 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Segnalazione

[edit]

- Laurentius 19:12, 3 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Richiesta di template

[edit]

Ciao Massimop 19:43, 5 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Richiesta di cancellazione

[edit]

  1. Allein.gif e
  2. Allein-stemma.png.

Dovrebbe restare solo Allein-Stemma.png che risponde a tutti i requisiti richiesti. Ciao —Massimop 20:13, 6 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Stemmi civici

[edit]

Ciao —Massimop 12:26, 7 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

redundant

[edit]

Allora ciao. E grazie comunque. Vale!--Horatius 20:20, 20 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

--Sbisolo 08:17, 21 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hey Red, you don't have an email set? Is this on purpose or did you just forget? Email can be an important way for blocked users to communicate with you (hint, hint!). pfctdayelise (translate?) 08:58, 22 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The mailing list is separate to having your email set, they are different. Go to Special:Preferences and see if your email has been validated. Mine says: "Your e-mail address was authenticated on 11:40, 3 March 2006." Then there is "Enable e-mail from other users" and I have a tick in that box. Do you? pfctdayelise (translate?) 00:22, 23 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Summary from COM:VP: You blocked User:Mac9 and he disagreed with the block. We talked about the best way to put categories; Mac9 agreed; User:Duesentrieb has now unblocked him.
It is best to warn someone before blocking them. The admins agreed that the block was OK, but a month was too long for a 1st block - a few days would be better. It is also good if you can tell users you block how they can contact you - e.g., via email. pfctdayelise (translate?) 00:59, 23 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

According to the last facts and discussion, also with other admin (like Pfctdayelise and Duesendibe ) I ask you to think carefull on your action, because your role is very important. Please try to talk with users ( I haven't understand why did you complaint with duesen about my reorganization of taormina and not with me), see their history, try to have a confrontation. I'm not a vandal, I (but I'm not the unique - there is a debat on this matter) just have a different opinion from you. --mac 09:38, 24 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Ciao Lorenzo. Stasera mi sono imbattuto in http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Jarvis_Andrew_Lattin "(1853-1941) Vendor of Fruits and Vegetables on Long Island Railroad"... Posso lasciare tutto in mano tua? Ciao, Paulatz 09:20, 6 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Paulatz 09:26, 6 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Commons-l subscription

[edit]

Hello Red devil 666,

as per Commons talk:Administrators, I am asking all admins to subscribe to commons-l, a mailing list for Wikimedia Commons policy and project discussion. Since many admins are only on Commons infrequently, this is a good way to alert people about important happenings. The mailing list is nominally multilingual, but predominantly English.

If you are already subscribed to commons-l, I apologize for bothering you, and you are free to ignore this message. If you don't want to use your regular e-mail account, feel free to leave me a message, and I can send you a GMail invite. Traffic on the mailing list is relatively low, and we do not expect admins to read all messages to the list, but it would be nice if you could check on it at least every few weeks. Thanks for your time,--Eloquence 23:11, 4 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hello,

If you consent for statistics to be published about your actions as an administrator, please sign here: Commons:Administrator permission for statistics. (I expect that most people will not have a problem with it unless you are especially concerned with privacy.)

Also, please be aware that we now have a Commons:Administrators' noticeboard. Please put it on your watchlist, if you haven't already!

Image deletion warning Image:Philippe Pétain.jpg has been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether it should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at its entry.

If you created this image, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it, such as a copyright issue. Thanks for uploading Image:Rabin-Clinton-Arafat-1993.jpg. I notice the image page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this media yourself then you need to argue that we have the right to use the media on Wikimedia Commons (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then you should also specify where you found it, i.e., in most cases link to the website where you got it, and the terms of use for content from that page. If the content is a derivative of a copyrighted work, you need to supply the names and a licence of the original authors as well.

If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag, then you must also add one. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then you can use cc-by-sa-2.5 to release it under the Creative Commons or PD-self to release it into the public domain. See Commons:Copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have uploaded other media, please check that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find all your uploads using the Gallery tool. Thank you. Richiesta

[edit]

Grazie e ciao. Massimop 20:02, 10 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for uploading Image:Andrew_Marvell.png.

If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then you can use GFDL to release it under the multilicense GFDL plus Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike All-version license or PD-self to release it into the public domain. See Commons:Copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

A file that you have uploaded to Wikimedia Commons, Image:Soviet tanks entering Changun.jpg, was missing information about where it comes from or who created it, which is needed to verify its copyright status. The file probably has been deleted. If you've got all required information, request undeletion providing this information and the link to the concerned file (:Image:Soviet tanks entering Changun.jpg).

If you created the content yourself, enter Own as the source. If you did not add a licensing template, you must add one. You may use, for example, GFDL or Cc-zero to release certain rights to your work.

If someone else created the content, or if it is based on someone else's work, the source should be the address to the web page where you found it, the name and ISBN of the book you scanned it from, or similar. You should also name the author, provide verifiable information to show that the content is in the public domain or has been published under a free license by its author, and add an appropriate template identifying the public domain or licensing status, if you have not already done so. Warning: Wikimedia Commons takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

Hello, Red devil 666!
Tip: Add categories to your files
Tip: Add categories to your files

Thanks a lot for contributing to the Wikimedia Commons! Here's a tip to make your uploads more useful: Why not add some categories to describe them? This will help more people to find and use them.

Here's how:

1) If you're using the UploadWizard, you can add categories to each file when you describe it. Just click "more options" for the file and add the categories which make sense:

2) You can also pick the file from your list of uploads, edit the file description page, and manually add the category code at the end of the page.

For example, if you are uploading a diagram showing the orbits of comets, you add the following code:

This will make the diagram show up in the categories "Astronomical diagrams" and "Comets".

When picking categories, try to choose a specific category ("Astronomical diagrams") over a generic one ("Illustrations").

Thanks again for your uploads! More information about categorization can be found in Commons:Categories, and don't hesitate to leave a note on the help desk.

Please help replace this outdated license

[edit]

Hello!

Thank you for donating images to the Wikimedia Commons. You have uploaded some images in the past with the license PD. While this was a license acceptable in the early days of Wikimedia, since January 2006, this license has been deprecated and since October 2008 no new uploads with this license was allowed.

The license on older images should be replaced with a better and more specific license/permissions and you can help by checking the images and adding PD-self if you are the author or one of the other templates that you can see in the template on the image page.

Thank you for your help. If you need help feel free to ask at Commons talk:Licensing or contact User:Zscout370.

The images we would like you to check are:

File:Battle of Stalingrad.jpg has been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether it should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at its entry.

If you created this file, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it, such as a copyright issue. Please see Commons:But it's my own work! for a guide on how to address these issues.

Please remember to respond to and – if appropriate – contradict the arguments supporting deletion. Arguments which focus on the nominator will not affect the result of the nomination. Thank you!

A file (or files) you uploaded from the Remote Sensing Tutorial from NASA Goddard Space Center has been tagged for deletion since that tutorial acknowledges that not all of the used images are actually NASA. (See here the overview of the tutorial). The group deletion request is here. Comments would be welcomed.--Garrondo (talk) 11:48, 19 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
