Thanks for uploading high-quality chemistry diagrams! When you add categories, please only the add the most-specific ones relevant to the image, not all the more-general ones as well. That is, only use the subcategory, not the parent category. For example, File:Azulene_synthesis_2.png you marked it:
But categories are a hierarchy rather than a flat pool of tags. Cats 2–4 are all subcats of cat 1, so cat 1 should not also be listed. Both cat 2 and cat 4 are subcats of cat 3, so cat 3 should not also be listed. But there are also specific subcats for many different reactions. And the main value of this image is the synthesis of the product, so listing the specicic cat for it is useful. I'm not sure if there is a specific category for the original substrate, but it at least can be classified.
Category:ChemistryCategory:Organic reactions→ Category:Diels-Alder reactionCategory:Organic chemistryCategory:Organic compounds→ Category:Furanones Category:Azulene

- Thanks for pointing out! I will have my future wikimedia uploads to contain the correct categories, and try my best to relabel the ones that I have already uploaded. Pygos (talk) 09:45, 16 May 2024 (UTC)
