Thanks for uploading File:Wilhelm Storost (Vilius Storostas-Vydūnas) on 200 LTL banknote.png. This media is missing permission information. A source is given, but there is no proof that the author or copyright holder agreed to license the file under the given license. Please provide a link to an appropriate webpage with license information, or ask the author or copyright holder to send an email with copy of a written permission to VRT (permissions-commons@wikimedia.org). You may still be required to go through this procedure even if you are the author yourself; please see Commons:But it's my own work! for more details. After you emailed permission, you may replace the {{No permission since}} tag with {{subst:PP}} on file description page. Alternatively, you may click on "Challenge speedy deletion" below the tag if you wish to provide an argument why evidence of permission is not necessary in this case.
Please see this page for more information on how to confirm permission, or if you would like to understand why we ask for permission when uploading work that is not your own, or work which has been previously published (regardless of whether it is your own). Warning: unless the permission information is given, the file may be deleted after seven days. Thank you. |

- @Yann: I am the author of this image. Since you are asking for "proof" or "permission information", what could possibly count as legitimate proof or permission in this case? Profesorium (talk) 20:37, 27 April 2018 (UTC)
- Hi, Yes, you took the photo, but this is a derivative work, where the copyright of the bank note remains. What's the status of this? Regards, Yann (talk) 05:06, 28 April 2018 (UTC)
- @Yann: Please see "According to the Republic of Lithuania Law on Copyright and Related Rights (passed on May 18, 1999 and amended 2010) Chapter II, Section 1, Article 5, case 3: "Copyright shall not apply to official State symbols and insignia (flags, coat-of-arms, anthems, banknote designs, and other State symbols and insignia) the protection of which is regulated by other legal acts. Hence it is assumed that this image has been released into the public domain." at https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:200_LTL_banknote.png Profesorium (talk) 06:38, 29 April 2018 (UTC)
- Hi, Could you please mention that in the file page, and/or add the appropriate license. Thanks, Yann (talk) 06:42, 29 April 2018 (UTC)
- @Yann: Hello. Done, license info added. Sorry I did not do it earlier. I did not know it was needed. Profesorium (talk) 06:44, 29 April 2018 (UTC)
