60 Meter Band page Allocations Map
[edit]Hi Arash, Thank you for that interesting news - CW only is a start, anyway. Before I update the map and do the text/frequency list on the Wiki 60 Meter Band page for Iran, can I ask you a big favour, please ? Have you got URLs for the Iran National Frequency Table and/or the official Iran government gazette giving details of the new allocation - you know how particular Wiki is about sources/references, these days ! Also your callsign would be handy, so that I can give you credit when I put the news into the Amateur Radio Media. Cheers for now, 73 Paul Gaskell (talk) 23:18, 1 December 2018 (UTC)
Hi Paul, it's a few years that i think it's 1 or 2 years that this band is also available here in Iran. The frequency range is 5.3515-5.3665 MHz with permission of transmitting just CW with 15 Watts EIRP limit. I wanted to ask you please if could you add Iran to the map by yellowing that. Thanks a lot and 73's ! Arash Mansoori (talk) 17:28, 30 November 2018 (UTC)
Hi Chris, Thanks for the recent updates. RSGB and Ofcom agreed in late 2012 that the UK 5 MHz/60m 'Experimental' tag was no longer required, so now the UK's a candidate for blue rather than green. Is there a 'flatter' map projection available - reason I say this is that with some more European countries now coming on, that area seems somewhat compressed and would seem harder to make out? Cheers Paul Gaskell (talk) 01:14, 8 March 2014 (UTC)
- Hi Paul. AFAIK, UK licensees require a "notice of variation", and only Full licensees can apply. So I don't think this qualifies as a regular allocation. If not "experimental", perhaps "limited". I chose File:BlankMap-World-Microstates.svg as the base map because it shows "microstates" as circles which can be quickly identified to show variation. The other base maps don't have this. Thanks. --ChrisRuvolo (t) 03:27, 17 April 2014 (UTC)
