Naryn Kala castle has been listed at Commons:Categories for discussion so that the community can discuss ways in which it should be changed. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at its entry. If you created this category, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for discussion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it. If the category is up for deletion because it has been superseded, consider the notion that although the category may be deleted, your hard work (which we all greatly appreciate) lives on in the new category. In all cases, please do not take the category discussion personally. It is never intended as such. Thank you! |

Please stop with redirecting
[edit]Names were standardized, and you destroyed it. --Orijentolog (talk) 18:45, 6 February 2021 (UTC)
- I'll say one more time, please stop. --Orijentolog (talk) 15:14, 7 February 2021 (UTC)
- Hi I guess you are wrong, Please read here[1] Imamzadeh Seyed Morteza no Imamzadeh Morteza (Kashmar) POS78 (talk) 15:24, 7 February 2021 (UTC)
- Titles on English Wikipedia are not relevant for Commons or Wikidata. Title "Imamzadeh Seyed Morteza" may imply two different buildings, one in Kashmar, and other one in Rabor County. The most common principle of naming in English literature is Imamzadeh [name] (examples: Imamzdeh Saleh, Imamzadeh Ibrahim, etc), so it's used here for >70 different pages. Also, there's no need for using "Seyed", "Seyyed", "Sayyid", "Sayyed" (or any other term variant) in titles because virtually all imamzadeh shrines are named after seyeds. --Orijentolog (talk) 15:35, 7 February 2021 (UTC)
- Hi I guess you are wrong, Please read here[1] Imamzadeh Seyed Morteza no Imamzadeh Morteza (Kashmar) POS78 (talk) 15:24, 7 February 2021 (UTC)
One other thing, please keep in mind that naming here is [name] Castle, not [name] castle (uppercase instead of lowercase), you'll see it on 99-100% castles, houses, mosques, mausoleums, towers, etc. Anyway, thanks for new Khorasan photos, I hope to see more uploads! :) --Orijentolog (talk) 15:44, 7 February 2021 (UTC)
- Okay, thank you POS78 (talk) 15:46, 7 February 2021 (UTC)
A small info: I replaced this with this (such category goes for specific castle, not whole city). :) --Orijentolog (talk) 18:03, 8 February 2021 (UTC)
Disruptive redirects
[edit]Again you're making disruptive redirects, you do it one more time and I'll report you to administrators. Goodbye. --Orijentolog (talk) 12:19, 16 February 2021 (UTC)
- Ok, I'm sorry, I try not to repeat :) POS78 (talk) 12:42, 16 February 2021 (UTC)
- I'll assume good faith and trust you. By the way, your article on en.wiki "Arg of Birjand" is totally wrong. There are two different buildings: first one is Birjand Citadel (=Arg of Birjand, named as "Birjand castle"), and the second one is Kolah Farangi Citadel which you named as "Arg of Birjand." --Orijentolog (talk) 12:58, 16 February 2021 (UTC)

[edit]First of all, Happy Nowruz! :) Yes, I'm sure these two ones are the same, I'll move it now. --Orijentolog (talk) 17:30, 21 March 2021 (UTC)

- You're welcome. By the way, today I corrected two geographical mistakes:
- mistake - correction (not in Murcheh Khvort)
- mistake - correction (not in Rasht)
- You missed 7 km, I missed 18 km! You see, it happens to everyone. :) --Orijentolog (talk) 19:00, 21 March 2021 (UTC)

Something very important
[edit]I see that you started to fill category "Buildings in Kashmar" with buildings which are not in Kashmar, but in Kashmar County. Please do not do that. In future, put it in "Buildings in Razavi Khorasan Province" instead. --Orijentolog (talk) 08:25, 23 March 2021 (UTC)

- Good, I further improved categories. :) Do you know cultural IDs of icehouses? --Orijentolog (talk) 09:13, 23 March 2021 (UTC)
- @Orijentolog: Yes thank you :) Which icehouses do you mean? POS78 (talk) 12:52, 23 March 2021 (UTC)
- I mean the recent Khorasani icehouses which you opened (I'll check them little later). Where did you find that Category:Jameh Mosque of Khalilabad is "Pahlavi" mosque? [3] --Orijentolog (talk) 09:10, 26 March 2021 (UTC)
- Unfortunately, these icehouses have not been registered nationally yet And it is unfortunate! Yes, this mosque belongs to the Pahlavi era and is confirmed by a Wikipedia article POS78 (talk) 15:46, 26 March 2021 (UTC)
- Thanks for the info, I planned to search their IDs, but seems like no need. "Confirmed by a Wikipedia article"? Wikipedia can not confirm anything, only sources. I put two sources (news websites) in infobox, both say 1308 AH (=1896), as well as your sources in English Wikipedia. Of course, I don't say such sources are 100% correct, if the year is in fact 1308 AP (=1929) then it's Pahlavi mosque. But we don't have such sources, so it should stay like it is. I'm aware that registration data says "Pahlavi" but it is not always correct, for example your article en:Temple of Khvorheh is based on registration data which is totally wrong and outdated: it's not a temple and it's not from Seleucid era. It's actually a Parthian mansion. --Orijentolog (talk) 10:12, 27 March 2021 (UTC)

"By village" categories
[edit]Please do not open anything related in future, "buildings" are enough for now. --Orijentolog (talk) 14:46, 2 April 2021 (UTC)
- Ok dear :) POS78 (talk) 14:49, 2 April 2021 (UTC)
Another extremely important thing – do not name some village buildings on your own, without any source, and do not put categories of "cultural heritage" if something is not even registered. If no sources for specific buildings exist, then files will be put in general categories (like Buildings in [province/city/village]). --Orijentolog (talk) 21:19, 2 April 2021 (UTC)
- Yes, Sure :) POS78 (talk) 21:57, 2 April 2021 (UTC)
- Be careful about this man, really, if someone else found out that you made disputable Wikidata items, you may get yourself into trouble. And I don't want it! Honestly I believe that one your uploaded photo worth more then 1000 mine edits. :) --Orijentolog (talk) 00:19, 3 April 2021 (UTC)
Kohneh Castle (Zendeh Jan)
[edit]@Orijentolog: I recently went to this castle But I wa/s surprised! The image on Wikipedia was completely different from the castle! I was completely confused, is this castle this castle or not?[5][6] I explored for hours, it is not the first image in this village at all! what do you think? POS78 (talk) 00:09, 3 April 2021 (UTC)
- Honestly I don't know, there are no proper sources which show how Kohneh Castle looks like. BUT, are you 100% sure that your photos are showing Kohneh Castle? If yes, we'll put your photos in that (Kohneh Castle) category, and we'll exclude that disputable one. Sooo, are you sure? :) --Orijentolog (talk) 00:17, 3 April 2021 (UTC)
@Orijentolog: Oh my God, this castle is another castle [7] (Category:Bezanjerd Castle) POS78 (talk) 00:26, 3 April 2021 (UTC)

- So, I put your files (and coords) as "Kohneh Castle (Zendeh Jan)". I hope you're correct. :) --Orijentolog (talk) 00:40, 3 April 2021 (UTC)
- Thanks but I will try to get more information from the castle POS78 (talk) 00:44, 3 April 2021 (UTC)

- @Orijentolog: How great I hope you took beautiful photos of historical places :) POS78 (talk) 13:25, 7 April 2021 (UTC)
- Oh no, I meant I'm categorizing Semnan Province. Your photo is very, very nice, a great upload! :) But I must replace it here for one technical reason: most alleys don't allow cars, while your photo has taxis, therefore it may confuse some people. --Orijentolog (talk) 13:28, 7 April 2021 (UTC)
- @Orijentolog: Wow, I thought you traveled to Semnan! I read wrong, I am sorry :( No, this alley is used by taxi drivers And people use this place to go anywhere in the city And it is known as taxis and telecommunication alley :) POS78 (talk) 13:36, 7 April 2021 (UTC)

Again, again and again nonsensical redirects
[edit]You have been warned not do redirect pages many times (probably 10-20), both here on Commons and Wikipedia, but you're doing it again, again, and again. I'm starting to believe you're incorrigible!
Now listen do me very carefully:
- You can not fix category names because your English is very, very bad. You're redirecting Mud Icehouse (Khalilabad) to Mud Icehouse which can refer to any icehouse made of mud, in Iran and aboard. Hundreds of them.
- If you strongly believe there's a mistake in naming, you can open Talk:Mud Icehouse (Khalilabad), ping me or someone else, and suggest renaming. We'll gladly answer and help.
- For the very last time: stop with bizarre redirecting, or I'll personally report you. You're only doing damage with it.
--Orijentolog (talk) 20:37, 7 April 2021 (UTC)
- Ok, I'm sorry and I'm trying to do better :) POS78 (talk) 22:07, 7 April 2021 (UTC)
- You said the same after previous warnings, so I don't keep your word any more. --Orijentolog (talk) 00:13, 8 April 2021 (UTC)
- @Orijentolog: What should I do to gain your trust? Explain to me so that I can better meet your situation, Thank you POS78 (talk) 09:56, 8 April 2021 (UTC)
- It's simple: you do a great job with uploads, and awful job with redirecting pages. So you should only avoid redirecting in future and you'll be perfect. --Orijentolog (talk) 12:51, 8 April 2021 (UTC)

Kashmar Citadel
[edit]@Orijentolog: My brother, in your opinion, what part of the citadel does this photo show? I believe a category should be created for this section , do you agree? POS78 (talk) 18:34, 8 April 2021 (UTC)
- Unfortunately, I'm not sure. I should check all photos, see satellite image, search sources... and it takes time. As I promised, I'll solve castles, citadels and other fortifications later, because it's complicated and big job. But I promise that I'll consult you when categorizing sites with your photos, if you agree? :) --Orijentolog (talk) 18:49, 8 April 2021 (UTC)
- Yes, I know it's really hard and complicated and I hope you succeed
- You do me a great favor :) POS78 (talk) 18:56, 8 April 2021 (UTC)
- @Orijentolog: And if you are interested or have a complaint, tell me about my vague pictures so I can take pictures again. And If you have a request to take photos of the historical sites of Torshiz region, I will gladly accept :) POS78 (talk) 19:01, 8 April 2021 (UTC)
- Man, your photos are blessing. Did you know I was writing about sh:Razavi Horasan some ten years ago? When I searched for photos to use inside that article, there was almost nothing. Hichi, sefr! And today, thousands of them, thanks to you and others. Truly amazing. I only request that you enjoy and have a good time during photographing trips, but of course, I would be glad that you take photos of all registered monuments (list is here, not including newly registered ones). :) --Orijentolog (talk) 19:15, 8 April 2021 (UTC)

Laneh Muri castle
[edit]@Orijentolog: I hope you are not tired, I guess Sheikh Makan castle is a Laneh Muri castle, what do you think? POS78 (talk) 11:29, 10 April 2021 (UTC)
- @Orijentolog: And what period do you guess this castle belongs to? POS78 (talk) 13:51, 11 April 2021 (UTC)
- As I said, I'll fix castles later. Can not do everything in the same time. :) --Orijentolog (talk) 12:51, 12 April 2021 (UTC)
And please don't open structural categories, use existing ones. First you put castle which is 25 km away from city, and now this Category:Destroyed buildings in Kashmar is empty. --Orijentolog (talk) 12:59, 12 April 2021 (UTC)
- @Orijentolog: Ok, thank you
- I believe that the ancient city of Kashmar existed near the fort, but it is my belief anyway and I am sorry my dear brother , To categorize many buildings from Kashmar have been demolished :) POS78 (talk) 13:48, 12 April 2021 (UTC)
- No problem now, everything is solved. I filled this category with four files, and Danesh House is also fixed, check it. :) --Orijentolog (talk) 13:51, 12 April 2021 (UTC)
Speaking about that "laneh muri" thing, I searched professional literature about that term and found one big nothing. Therefore, it won't be used any more on Commons or Wikidata. There are grottoes for man-made caves, underground cities for complexes and rock-cut architecture for other structures. There's also general category castles in caves. --Orijentolog (talk) 02:19, 14 April 2021 (UTC)
- @Orijentolog: Brother, there is a difference between Laneh Muri castle and the Castles in caves! For example, the Atashgah Castle: The castle is completely separate and is located on top of a mountain But downstream there is a large cave that is a safe haven in case of attack on the castle, Did you notice? POS78 (talk) 10:07, 14 April 2021 (UTC)
- No I didn't notice, images of Atashgah Castle don't show anything, and there are very little remains. If you say it's not a castle in cave, then category is removed [8]. Atashgah Cave is still categorized under Atashgah Castle (as part of the complex), and has proper category Grottoes in Iran. That's it. I'll repeat you one more time, there's no such thing as "laneh muri", it's an invented and unprofessional term. --Orijentolog (talk) 10:53, 14 April 2021 (UTC)
- @Orijentolog: I will go to this castle soon and upload pictures :) But the word "Laneh Muri" is not an invention And means the same ant house, It seems to be a building inspired by the complex buildings of ants And is widely used POS78 (talk) 11:03, 14 April 2021 (UTC)
- That would be great, as well as if you take photos of several empty categories (here), but no rush. If you say that "laneh muri is not an invention" then you should prove it, do you know any scholarly source about it? --Orijentolog (talk) 11:09, 14 April 2021 (UTC)
- @Orijentolog: OK :) I had two sources, but I do not know why their link has a problem:Irania Encyclopedia[9] ([10] And [11]) But for now there is only this source[12] POS78 (talk) 11:19, 14 April 2021 (UTC)
- As I said, zero scholarly sources. All three links are from Reza Moradi Ghiasabadi, an author and publisher who earns by selling books, but not some academically affirmed scholar (as he claims to be). I can see that serious publications call him "freelance researcher" which means he is not part of some professional institution, and his theories about chahartaqs are fringe and disapproved. Scholarly sources are this, this, this, this, etc. I don't say that I always rely only on professional sources, for example citing news agencies like IRIB or IRNA for Qajar ab anbars is totally fine and undisputed. But regarding ancient history, alleged "7000 years old" sites, or architectural terminology, charlatan sources for categorization or Wikidata descriptions aren't acceptable. --Orijentolog (talk) 11:58, 14 April 2021 (UTC)
- Ok thank you for the info :) POS78 (talk) 12:08, 14 April 2021 (UTC)
- You're welcome. Something interesting to compare: open any category of cultural heritage monuments in Razavi Khorasan Province, and what do you get? Clear names, descriptions, images, periods, years, materials, dimensions, coordinates... And then you open cultural heritage monuments in the center of Berlin, Germany. What's there? In most cases broken names with only Wikidata numbers, no coords, no good information, almost nothing. That's why I like to keep all organized, otherwise people may say that Iran is like Germany, and Kashmar is like Berlin. And we don't want such embarrassing insults, isn't it? ;) --Orijentolog (talk) 13:41, 14 April 2021 (UTC)
- @Orijentolog: Yes, exactly! You look at the history of Germany and you will understand how different it is between the history of Iran :) POS78 (talk) 13:56, 14 April 2021 (UTC)

But regarding ancient history, alleged "7000 years old" sites, or architectural terminology, charlatan sources for categorization or Wikidata descriptions aren't acceptable. --Orijentolog (talk) 11:58, 14 April 2021 (UTC)
- @Orijentolog: OK :) I had two sources, but I do not know why their link has a problem:Irania Encyclopedia[9] ([10] And [11]) But for now there is only this source[12] POS78 (talk) 11:19, 14 April 2021 (UTC)
- That would be great, as well as if you take photos of several empty categories (here), but no rush. If you say that "laneh muri is not an invention" then you should prove it, do you know any scholarly source about it? --Orijentolog (talk) 11:09, 14 April 2021 (UTC)
German building in Kashmar
[edit]Also please tell me: what's the official name of this building (in Persian)? Do you know coords, and registration number? --Orijentolog (talk) 13:56, 12 April 2021 (UTC)
- @Orijentolog: It does not have a registration number, but I have to search for the coordinates, I will give it to you tomorrow

- Hatman dadash, Farsi baladam, but I prefer English because my Persian is (still) not professional. And I read English faster. OK, take it easy, you can find coord later. Also, we need to find some proper unique English name (this one is not standardized), as well as online sources. When you get time, tomorrow or little later, try to search and inform me here. --Orijentolog (talk) 14:15, 12 April 2021 (UTC)

- There's a difference between destroyed, demolished, ruins, damaged... it sometimes confuses even me. :)
- Thanks for the coords. As far as I understood, "German building" was a textile mill. Do you think that good name would be "German Cotton Mill (Kashmar)"? Did any other similar German factories existed in Kashmar? (if you know) --Orijentolog (talk) 15:51, 12 April 2021 (UTC)
- @Orijentolog: It's exactly confusing!
- good ("German Cotton Mill (Kashmar)") I do not know, I have to search but I do not think POS78 (talk) 16:02, 12 April 2021 (UTC)

As I sad above: "And please don't open structural categories, use existing ones". And only a day after you were opening a lot of Quchan categories, all by mistake, and only half technical correct. You lost time, I lost time to fix it, and finally there are only – empty categories. --Orijentolog (talk) 20:59, 13 April 2021 (UTC)
- Ok, again, I'm sorry, I have nothing but regret POS78 (talk) 21:12, 13 April 2021 (UTC)

- @Orijentolog: I think I made a mistake, sorry, Therefore this category should be deleted[13] it's true? POS78 (talk) 03:21, 15 April 2021 (UTC)
- That template is generally messy, it mostly gives cities (wrong) instead of counties (correct). I was planning to solve it step by step, by opening specific new categories which are correct. I did not know you won't listen and make more mess with opening "Rivash" despite there's no a single monument image from Rivash. "Thanks" again. :( --Orijentolog (talk) 03:27, 15 April 2021 (UTC)

- It's OK, I solved it. As I said several times, I prefer that you don't open structural categories because of your bad English, you'll do mistakes and I'm losing time to check and correct it. But opening "normal" categories, even with wrong or ambiguous names (like Shahi Dam), is not problem at all! I'll check it and redirect it if needed. You can ask Iranian administrators here, I changed names of hundreds of their category names. That doesn't mean they're "making problems". :) --Orijentolog (talk) 03:57, 15 April 2021 (UTC)

The same demand, for the fourth time
[edit]Chronologically:
- First time: "please don't open structural categories, use existing ones."
- Second time: "As I sad above: "And please don't open structural categories, use existing ones"."
- Third time: "As I said several times, I prefer that you don't open structural categories because of your bad English, you'll do mistakes and I'm losing time to check and correct it."
But no avail. Today you mistakenly identified one photo as "Ravar Icehouse" and then you open whole series of structural categories (buildings, buildings by function, storage buildings, etc), instead of using existing one (Ravar is enough). Luckily, only two categories will be deleted this time. --Orijentolog (talk) 22:02, 17 April 2021 (UTC)
- 🤦♂️ POS78 (talk) 07:13, 18 April 2021 (UTC)

- I asked you to take photos of empty Khorasani categories (if possible), but because you have been slow and lazy (just joking :), I made floor plan of one caravanserai myself (Sarpush Caravanserai). There's one other Khorasani caravanserai without files, so I guess I should make floor plan again, otherwise some admin may delete it. :( --Orijentolog (talk) 13:14, 29 April 2021 (UTC)

I'll ask you one more time, please do not open structural categories of villages if you didn't check where building really is. Regarding Mamuri, it's OK, at least you found proper coordinates, but confused two villages in the same (Nishapur) county. Real problem is Forud Castle, you did not know where it is, but you still opened new category buildings in Kalat, Gonabad. It's not just wrong place but wrong county. --Orijentolog (talk) 21:15, 4 May 2021 (UTC)
- Oh, sorry, I'm really dumb :( POS78 (talk) 06:23, 5 May 2021 (UTC)
And AGAIN you're opening structural categories based on wrong identifications. Garmsar's salt mines are not in the city of Garmsar, but in Garmsar County. --Orijentolog (talk) 09:12, 6 May 2021 (UTC)

- Luckily no categories will be deleted, but I'll rearrange files right now. Also, please don't replace new photos with old ones. If I edited some item, like Garmsar Ab Anbar, Old Toroq Dam and so on, you don't have anything to add. Only you can make it worse, so you lose time for edits which will be reverted. And if you ask me: what do you, Orijentolog, know about Iranian geography?, well, here's my article Geografija Irana (402 kb size) about it. Compare it with Persian Jografiya-ye Iran (68 kb size) or English Geography of Iran (25 kb size). So now I ask you, what do you POS78, 100 million Persian speakers and 1 billion English speakers, know about Iranian geography?? I think you all know: hichi! :))) --Orijentolog (talk) 09:57, 6 May 2021 (UTC)

I'll ask you again, do not open structural categories, use existing ones. You're doing mess! --Orijentolog (talk) 12:55, 19 May 2021 (UTC)
- @Orijentolog: Can I be a little free in some cases? I're really creating new categories as a hobby, I just can't take pictures! POS78 (talk) 13:04, 19 May 2021 (UTC)
- Sure, in some cases, not in ALL cases! I warned you many times that you don't try to "fix" categories which I already passed (like Iraj Castle), because you simply can not fix it, in 99,99% cases there isn't anything to be fixed. I also warned you to not open categories if you're not 100% sure, and yet again, you opened "Buildings in Asgarabad-e Abbasi", "Asgarabad-e Abbasi" and "Villages in Pishva County", all based on completely wrong identification of three photos. Furthermore, don't open any more categories "villages in...", "populated places in...", you're doing too many mistakes, both here and on Wikidata. --Orijentolog (talk) 13:36, 19 May 2021 (UTC)
- Today, some 80-90% of categories which you opened were either pointless or full of mistakes (Commons & Wikidata). Perhaps opening new categories it's "hobby" for you, but it's nightmare for organizational structure, and for me who need to fix it. --Orijentolog (talk) 14:21, 19 May 2021 (UTC)
- @Orijentolog: Okay Dadash, I'll try not to upset you anymore :( POS78 (talk) 15:33, 19 May 2021 (UTC)
I asked you to leave village-related categories as they are, because you're making mistakes. And today again you ignore my demands, with further changes and mistakes. - Take your time, no worry. Thinking of organizing castles is killing me... :) It's very hard to find proper dates for castles, that's why. Btw, can you search around is there any gallery of Garmsar on Tasnim or other news which allows uloads here on Commons? - @Orijentolog: And one more thing, castles are legendary in Achaemenid times? POS78 (talk) 16:44, 4 May 2021 (UTC)
- Sorry for late answer, I was reading & referencing Salasel Castle. Check it now, it has five different dates. I found that: The earliest remains the Islamic period in Shushtar is an oval-shaped building, known as Qaleh Salâsel, on top of a cliff overlooking the Shoteit from the north-east. The oldest reference to this fort goes back to the time of Moslem conquest of the Sâssanian empire around 640 A.D. The foundation of the fort may, however, have been dated to the Sâssanian period. --Orijentolog (talk) 16:53, 4 May 2021 (UTC)
- OK; Thanks for the info :) POS78 (talk) 16:55, 4 May 2021 (UTC)
- Regarding the Achaemenid castles, there were very, very rare, at least in terms of true castles (not forts, fortresses, citadels, etc., which are different). For precise dating of castles I should open Kleiss' books, which are the best for subject, but unfortunately in German language. :(
- And one more thing, don't get mad for reverts! :) I can see here that you have 11 deleted edits. If you think you're bad user thanks to it, remember that I have 610 deleted edits. And who deleted it? I did myself. :) --Orijentolog (talk) 17:03, 4 May 2021 (UTC)

[edit]Atashgah Castle was not capital of Quhistan, as you falsely stated in Wikidata [18][19]. Please don't invent history to magnify the importance of your city area, this is not first time that you're doing it. --Orijentolog (talk) 15:18, 6 May 2021 (UTC)

Building identification
[edit]@Orijentolog: what is this? Palace? POS78 (talk) 15:32, 10 May 2021 (UTC)
- I don't know for now, I can search later in registered monuments and identify it. When you're not sure what it is, just put "buildings" category. --Orijentolog (talk) 15:48, 10 May 2021 (UTC)
Rivash Watermill
POS78 (talk) 17:09, 11 May 2021 (UTC)
@Orijentolog: Clearer image, Brother, I found the name of this water mill, most likely! This water mill is near the Nabai River (روخانه نابای), should the name of the water mill also be Nabai? POS78 (talk) 18:42, 11 May 2021 (UTC)
- Wait, I must fix many mistakes in structural categories which you opened recently, despite my multiply demands not to do it. --Orijentolog (talk) 18:56, 11 May 2021 (UTC)
- @Orijentolog: God kill me means, Nabai Watermill? POS78 (talk) 19:11, 11 May 2021 (UTC)
- All fixed, no problem now. Regarding the alleged watermill, we can not name buildings on our own. Better nothing, than wrong. --Orijentolog (talk) 19:29, 11 May 2021 (UTC)
- @Orijentolog: OK, I'm sure the name of this water mill is Nabai! Because it is located exactly on the Nabai River. POS78 (talk) 19:36, 11 May 2021 (UTC)
- First of all, who says it's a watermill at all? Second, if it is a watermill, did you consider possibility there are other watermills on the same river? For example the village of Nameq has seven watermills, and you named this one as "Nameq Watermill". Any source for that name? Also, what's the source for "Nabai Bridge"? I can see there are other bridges on that river. --Orijentolog (talk) 19:45, 11 May 2021 (UTC)
- @Orijentolog: Yes, I'm sure this is a water mill, but do you want a source? I must say that such sources do not exist! I think it is the only water mill in that river, Which river are you talking about? As far as I know, it only has this bridge, Now wait until tomorrow I will give the exact coordinates, And I really don't know about the Nameq Watermill POS78 (talk) 19:56, 11 May 2021 (UTC)
- If you're very sure it's a watermill, then we'll use general & existing category Watermills in Razavi Khorasan Province, that's all. When sources appear, we'll name it according to it. And don't worry, for all historical buildings there are some sources, even if not yet published online. You don't need to search for coordinates, I know where it is: here. Downstream there are at least six or seven small bridges, along with the major one. This source mentions "Nabai Bridge" but as I understood, it's some bridge in the city, close to Imam Ali Boulevard, in other words for sure not this one. Existing category "Bridges in Rivash" is enough. --Orijentolog (talk) 20:11, 11 May 2021 (UTC)

- Regarding Nameq, did I get it correct that it has seven watermills? (check source here) --Orijentolog (talk) 20:39, 11 May 2021 (UTC)
- @Orijentolog: Yes, brother, that's right POS78 (talk) 20:45, 11 May 2021 (UTC)
- OK, since we don't know which one, we'll redirect it to buildings.
- By the way, please don't try to invent terminology regarding to towers, it's not used in English. --Orijentolog (talk) 04:59, 17 May 2021 (UTC)

- @Orijentolog: OK, I'm sure the name of this water mill is Nabai! Because it is located exactly on the Nabai River. POS78 (talk) 19:36, 11 May 2021 (UTC)
- All fixed, no problem now. Regarding the alleged watermill, we can not name buildings on our own. Better nothing, than wrong. --Orijentolog (talk) 19:29, 11 May 2021 (UTC)

Qal'eh Dokhtar
[edit]@Orijentolog: Brother, see this category, I am sure this castle is in the Kuhsorkh County And is close to the Shesh Taraz Dam! It is not close to Khoshab village at all and it is closer to the villages of Kuhsorkh County! And I do not know how and by mistake it is registered in the name of Khoshab! and Bardaskan County, I think it should have a more general title, don't you agree? POS78 (talk) 16:17, 19 May 2021 (UTC)

Re: Kondor
[edit]You're welcome, today Kondor was fully solved in categorization sense. But again you made me mad! :) You have been to Kondor, and you didn't took photos of ab anbars and its tables, so now we don't know where are two main (registered) ab anbars, and what is their difference. :( --Orijentolog (talk) 20:46, 30 May 2021 (UTC)
- @Orijentolog: Yes, you are right, but I went there for the castle And I was able to take a picture of one of the ab anbars, I could not find the second one :{ POS78 (talk) 21:29, 30 May 2021 (UTC)
I'm not 100% sure does this image shows "Kondor-2 Ab Anbar" or actually "Kondor-1 Ab Anbar". Other image was taken in less than 5 minutes later, which means: (1) it's the same ab anbar or (2) two registered ab anbars are very close to each other. We can not know. I don't trust that photographer's descriptions because if you remember, we both lost 1-2 hours for searching this castle in wrong place, because he put wrong information. Another problem is that we don't know is this ab anbar one of two registered one, or something third. I know where it is, some 250 meters south from Kondor Castle, and there's another one 300 meters to the north, close to square. Two could be that registered two, but also not. If you visit Kondor again keep all this in mind, and try to find precise identification. --Orijentolog (talk) 21:06, 30 May 2021 (UTC)
- @Orijentolog: Ok, brother, I will definitely remember And that Kondor is close to my city, maybe when I go to Firuzabad, Bardaskan I will visit this city as well ;)
- And that if possible, give the coordinates of the second ab anbar. , Thank you POS78 (talk) 21:29, 30 May 2021 (UTC)
- This seems like your ab anbar, and here is the second one. --Orijentolog (talk) 21:45, 30 May 2021 (UTC)

For that I need map-checking, but since I'm living in a stone age country where internet is not powerful enough to open basic map tools, you'll have to wait more and more. --Orijentolog (talk) 16:55, 31 May 2021 (UTC)
- Oh, okay, thank you bro POS78 (talk) 17:00, 31 May 2021 (UTC)
- All that "Qal'eh Dokhtar" pages will be renamed, it's a non-standard naming. But as I said to you many, many times before: I did not start to fix castles. So, be patient and don't worry, I won't forget to solve this particular issue. --Orijentolog (talk) 17:32, 31 May 2021 (UTC)
Sources
[edit]Are there any sources for names Amin al-Tojar-2 Caravanserai and Amin al-Tojar-3 Caravanserai? --Orijentolog (talk) 16:43, 2 June 2021 (UTC)
- @Orijentolog: No, there are no references, but look at the satellite map and you will see the difference, I think the third one is older (personal opinion), but now we are not even allowed to enter it But all three caravanserais are called Amin al-Tojar With the difference that each has separate doors! I do not know exactly why each does not have a separate name, but I think there are correct titles that separate these three.
- You're both right and wrong. This source (which I used for Wikidata) confirm that Amin al-Tojar Caravanserai is consisted of three different parts, actually courtyards. But we don't have scholarly or any serious confirmation these are three separate buildings, and we don't have sources which state Amin al-Tojar-2 or Amin al-Tojar-3 for their names. Therefore, I'll rename it as courtyards (Northern and Western), on the similar way I used for mosques. --Orijentolog (talk) 17:45, 2 June 2021 (UTC)
- Great! POS78 (talk) 17:52, 2 June 2021 (UTC)
- I solved it, but I beg you: do not open such categories on your own. It's highly complicated process, I remember that I lost three days for a single mosque in Shiraz. At the moment, I'm focused on buildings, not their elements, but later my plan is to organize architectural elements of every single caravanserai later, if there are enough photos. --Orijentolog (talk) 18:45, 2 June 2021 (UTC)

- And why did you change the Kashmar wikidata image? I think Enqelab Square is better! But anyway you know better and I might be sabotaging the wikidata! it's true? :) POS78 (talk) 17:22, 2 June 2021 (UTC)
- Well, lets apply little football here: you think yes, I think no, that's 1:1. Sefr! Kashmar is your city, means +1 for your side. But, other photo shows more famous building (0 again), more modern pavement and furniture (+1), and it's not focused on one old car (+2). That's +2 for my view! You lost 2:4 on your home ground, sorry! :( Luckily for you, on football-type heritage table, your Razavi Khorasan Province is champion at the moment (135), followed by Isfahan (134) and Tehran (122). :) --Orijentolog (talk) 17:36, 2 June 2021 (UTC)
- @Orijentolog: Haha, you gave a really interesting example, Yes, in general, people in Khorasan and Isfahan love their national heritage And they love to take pictures of the historical monuments of their city But the number of historical monuments in Khorasan province may not be more than other provinces, but it has more enthusiasm, do you accept? :) POS78 (talk) 17:50, 2 June 2021 (UTC)
- Even more interesting thing is that you can be the "top goalscorer" of the year, considering many categories are opened thanks to your photos. :) I think there are official data of monument numbers for every single province, but I don't know which province has the most. --Orijentolog (talk) 18:50, 2 June 2021 (UTC)

Feyzabad Caravanserai
[edit]Unfortunately, no. The user who uploaded it probably took it from here and mislabeled it as "own work." Only possibility to keep that file is that uploader is actually related to that organization, but we can not know, so I asked 4nn1l2 to check. --Orijentolog (talk) 14:02, 8 June 2021 (UTC)

Tepe Sialk
[edit]Two things:
- Do not make redirects without a consulting others, as you did few minutes ago. It was wrong, Tepe Sialk is too much common name in English, and of course that you don't know it.
- Do not open useless general discussions, use my talk page for questions and suggestions.
--Orijentolog (talk) 16:45, 8 June 2021 (UTC)

Responsiveness
- I understand what's your concern, but I suggest you to put different images (4:3) in Persian Wiki lists. Reason is simple: horizontal images (4:3) are suitable for lists, but for Wikidata & Commons vertical are better (especially for towers) because they show more. Using the same photos for list and Wikidata is very, very bad idea. --Orijentolog (talk) 20:04, 28 June 2021 (UTC)
- Additional advantage for putting
[[:File:...]]
instead of{{تفام|Q...}}
is that you can more easily control it. Just put your Persian list on watchlist (alt+shift+w) and if someone put disproportional photo, you can revert it. On Wikidata it's harder to control. --Orijentolog (talk) 20:25, 28 June 2021 (UTC)
Nabai Watermill
[edit]@Orijentolog: Brother, we have a lot of pictures of this watermill[29] I think it needs a special category, No? POS78 (talk) 20:12, 4 July 2021 (UTC)
- I promise that I'll check it soon, and then I'll decide what to do. In last several days I was organizing Alborz and Yazd Province, because I want that soon all provinces are nicely organized, like Razavi Khorasan. :) --Orijentolog (talk) 20:25, 4 July 2021 (UTC)

Tala Abad Watermills
[edit]@Orijentolog: Brother, there are more than 5 watermills, we have to collect them And the main watermill is another one that we do not have a picture of yet But I took the pictures that I will upload tomorrow! Coordinates POS78 (talk) 20:19, 5 July 2021 (UTC)
- You may be right, but why do source speaks of it as singular (yedune), not five (panj)??? And how can we know that all five are registered, not just one of them? --Orijentolog (talk) 23:35, 5 July 2021 (UTC)
- @Orijentolog: I do not know exactly, but I will upload pictures of the original watermill soon, maybe it will be clarified. POS78 (talk) 09:41, 6 July 2021 (UTC)
- See its registration file! The pictures are at the bottom, I took a lot of photos yesterday and got good information, For example, that Tala Abad icehouse was not a icehouse at all And has been a watermill! I took too many photos, I apologize in advance for the delay in uploading. POS78 (talk) 10:00, 6 July 2021 (UTC)
- Great, this is the best source we can have about it. Afarin! :) --Orijentolog (talk) 18:31, 6 July 2021 (UTC)
- @Orijentolog: Yes, this site update has helped us a lot! And sorry for the delay in uploading images :( There are many pictures and I was busy with the Rig castle and the weak internet in Iran, I also have a lot of pictures of at least 4 watermills that I have to load all of them, Recently I do not realize how many photos I take and I have to upload them all, Yesterday 400 photos! POS78 (talk) 19:01, 6 July 2021 (UTC)
- Please see pictures of Rig Castle! Which is better for Wikidata? POS78 (talk) 19:34, 6 July 2021 (UTC)

- Good job! :) On the first look, I prefer some of this four: [30][31][32][33], but I'll leave decision to you. I don't understand your second question. --Orijentolog (talk) 22:11, 7 July 2021 (UTC)
- @Orijentolog: Relax! I take photos, you classify :) And the second question: For example, have such categories, Isn't it better? POS78 (talk) 22:21, 7 July 2021 (UTC)
- Adjacent watermills? POS78 (talk) 22:37, 7 July 2021 (UTC)
- We should not name it if we don't know their names. Now you tell me, regarding that official file document: 1. Did you find any names of four smaller watermills? 2. Is only the largest one registered as cultural heritage, while other four are not? --Orijentolog (talk) 23:07, 8 July 2021 (UTC)
- @Orijentolog: According to this document, there were 7 watermills, Probably 2 of the watermills were destroyed or I ignored them! But only one of the watermills survived, That only the same one is registered.
- I think it is better to create a category called watermills adjacent to Tala Abad watermill, Isn't it better? POS78 (talk) 08:48, 9 July 2021 (UTC)
- No, that's not the practice anywhere. I renamed the main category back to it's original name, because only one watermill is registered. Regarding the other watermills, all files should go to Watermills in Razavi Khorasan Province and Buildings in Quzhd, Kashmar, nothing else. This is what must be done. --Orijentolog (talk) 09:02, 9 July 2021 (UTC)
- okay thanks POS78 (talk) 09:08, 9 July 2021 (UTC)

- Good job! :) On the first look, I prefer some of this four: [30][31][32][33], but I'll leave decision to you. I don't understand your second question. --Orijentolog (talk) 22:11, 7 July 2021 (UTC)
Speaking of categorization, files always should be put that they answer two questions: what? (chi?) and where? (kojast?). Sometimes even when? (key?), but not so important as first two. So, if we don't know the name of a building, but we have answers: watermill and Quzhd. But, we don't have Category:Watermills in Quzhd, so it goes into: Watermills in Razavi Khorasan Province and Buildings in Quzhd, Kashmar. That's it! :) Several months ago it was you who opened Buildings in Iran by village, and it was not bad idea, actually it was good idea. At the moment we have 71 buildings by village, almost as much as Turkey has by city (73). :) Summarized: your bad ideas killed me, but your good ideas killed me even more! :( :) --Orijentolog (talk) 10:07, 9 July 2021 (UTC)

Autopatrol given
[edit]Hello. I just wanted to let you know that I have granted autopatrol rights to your account; the reason for this is that I believe you are sufficiently trustworthy and experienced to have your contributions automatically marked as "reviewed". This has no effect on your editing, it is simply intended to make it easier for users that are monitoring Recent changes or Recent uploads to find unproductive edits amidst the productive ones like yours. In addition, the Flickr upload feature and an increased number of batch-uploads in UploadWizard, uploading of freely licensed MP3 files, overwriting files uploaded by others and an increased limit for page renames per minute are now available to you. Thank you. 4nn1l2 (talk) 18:10, 18 July 2021 (UTC)
Redirecting, again
[edit]You can not redirect Ivar, Kuhsorkh to Ivar, Eivar or Eyvar because there's a namesake city in North Khorasan. Furthermore, names which starts with "ایو" are mostly romanized as "Iv" or "Eyv", rarely "Ei" (as you arbitrary picked up). --Orijentolog (talk) 11:56, 26 July 2021 (UTC)
- @Orijentolog: Eivar is different from Iver[34] :) POS78 (talk) 12:00, 26 July 2021 (UTC)
- @Orijentolog: تلفظ فارسیش میشه اِیوَر! POS78 (talk) 12:08, 26 July 2021 (UTC)
- Don't worry about that "official" names, there are numerous Iranian tables with different or even grammatically incorrect names. For example you can find both Isfahan and Esfahan all around the city. Don't think even English Wikipedia is always correct, for example for "ايور" you can find: Ivar, Kuhsorkh, Eivar, North Khorasan, Ayur, Fars. What a mess! :) --Orijentolog (talk) 12:09, 26 July 2021 (UTC)
- @Orijentolog: OK! But I did not do anything and I did not ignore my promise :) POS78 (talk) 12:13, 26 July 2021 (UTC)
- Midunam, but don't worry about it. Esfahan is more correct pronunciation than Isfahan, as is eyvan than iwan, but we still have Isfahan and Iwans (architecture). On the other hand, we have Eyvan and Eyvanki. Differences can exist. Regarding this village, it must have "X, Kuhsorkh" (or even "X, Razavi Khorasan") because X is reserved for the city, no matter is it Ivar, Iwar, Eivar or Eyvar. As I can see in search, the most common translation in English literature was Ivar, but there's also Eyvar, so perhaps later we'll redirect it again to Eyvar (surely not Eivar, which is the rarest among four). --Orijentolog (talk) 12:29, 26 July 2021 (UTC)
- Of course I won't forget, no panic. For you it's easy, you take care of few cities (Kashmar & around) in one province, but what about others??? There are thirty more provinces and tens of buildings in ~200 cities, at the moment. Now imagine all is well-organized as Kashmar and Razavi Khorasan, but not even those two are 100% finished. :( --Orijentolog (talk) 12:42, 26 July 2021 (UTC)
- @Orijentolog: I understand your concern :( But do not forget I am still studying And I can't collect pictures from all the cities And remember, I often use Bicycles to travel to other cities ):) POS78 (talk) 13:09, 26 July 2021 (UTC)

For example, in article Kashmar you put photos from all over the Kashmar County, nearby cities, even those in different counties. For me, that's a very bad practice, because it can confuse new uploaders. --Orijentolog (talk) 19:09, 19 October 2021 (UTC)

- It's OK, someone will perhaps correct it. As I told you, it happens also to me: eight years ago I opened Cheshmeh-Ali (Damghan) and today I corrected it to Cheshmeh-Ali (Damghan County). What happened in meanwhile? Other editors were putting photos from Cheshmeh-Ali to categories like 2015 in Damghan, 2016 in Damghan... all wrong, and all due to my mistake. But I corrected everything, now Semnan Province is the best organized one. :) --Orijentolog (talk) 22:34, 19 October 2021 (UTC)

- No problem about abandoned village, we opened relevant categories, but only thing concerns me here is that we confused two buildings. We'll see what 4nn1l2 will say... --Orijentolog (talk) 13:46, 11 November 2021 (UTC)
- @Orijentolog and 4nn1l2: Another issue: by order of Razavi Khorasan National Heritage, the Posht Panjeh Pedar Mausoleum dome should not be rebuilt! These two buildings have been completely renovated And have lost their original form… {{User|POS78}} talk 11:05, 11 November 2021 (UTC)
- @4nn1l2: we also need your help about this. My Persian is not that much strong as yours and POS78's, but as I understood from drawings, photos and description, there's a confusion. Still, it's not the first time that Iranarchpedia put wrong info. When you get some time, please check. --Orijentolog (talk) 10:57, 11 November 2021 (UTC)

[edit]I'm solving Qom Province's geography, no need that you jump in during the same time. :) --Orijentolog (talk) 07:59, 13 November 2021 (UTC)

I solved it. --Orijentolog (talk) 14:46, 24 November 2021 (UTC)
- @Orijentolog: Thank you very much!
- Can you find the coordinates of some of Mashhad national monuments in the future? Must have at least 100 coordinates in this list. I will do my best to achieve this goal, but I am afraid I will make mistakes :( You can see the statistics here. {{User|POS78}} talk 15:09, 24 November 2021 (UTC)
- I will find, by time. For example, when I was solving Semnan Province, I filled many Wikidata items with coordinates even if there are no any photo! :) --Orijentolog (talk) 15:24, 24 November 2021 (UTC)
- OK. Thanks :) {{User|POS78}} talk 15:29, 24 November 2021 (UTC)

Portuguese Castle (Qeshm)
[edit]This item has three articles on Persian Wikipedia: [35][36][37], can you merge them? --Orijentolog (talk) 04:09, 3 January 2022 (UTC)

- @Orijentolog: A world of thanks :)
- I have to give information about Kashmar citadel in the future.
- Those pictures are not about the citadel itself. Because it was its houses. The main citadel was destroyed and was located near Enqelab Square (Kashmar). And in the past, the whole city was called Citadel! {{User|POS78}} talk 08:47, 3 January 2022 (UTC)

@Orijentolog: Do we have dedicated references for this road? Thanks {{User|POS78}} talk 13:13, 11 January 2022 (UTC)
- You mean sources? I did not use any, as you see there's no infobox. --Orijentolog (talk) 15:51, 11 January 2022 (UTC)
- Yes. OK! No matter. {{User|POS78}} talk 15:57, 11 January 2022 (UTC)
- @Orijentolog: My English is really awful. :( I want a reliable source! Like GeoNames, Which specializes in geography. But we do not have such sources for roads? {{User|POS78}} talk 16:21, 11 January 2022 (UTC)

[edit]- @Orijentolog: خانه علمی = Elmi House?
- مسجد جامع قدیم بردسکن = Old Jameh Mosque of Bardaskan?
- Thanks {{User|POS78}} talk 13:36, 24 January 2022 (UTC)
- Ostad POS78, are you sure that spelling is "Elmi", not Almi or Alami? You should know better! :) For the second one, I think title should be just "Jameh Mosque of Bardaskan" because there are no two (new and old) mosques [42]. Dorost? --Orijentolog (talk) 15:04, 24 January 2022 (UTC)
- @Orijentolog: Yes, I'm sure (Elmi). I was there in the morning!
- No. New Jameh Mosque of Bardaskan. Unfortunately, the new mosque has damaged the old mosque a lot :( That's why I was able to take very few pictures. {{User|POS78}} talk 15:26, 24 January 2022 (UTC)
- OK, then Elmi House. Regarding the mosque, it's not a mistake to title it as Old Jameh Mosque of Bardaskan, but we already have Atiq Jameh Mosque of Shiraz and Atiq Jameh Mosque of Torbat-e Heydarieh which is the same meaning actually! So I'm thinking: Old Jameh Mosque of Bardaskan or Atiq Jameh Mosque of Bardaskan... Do anyone in Bardaskan calls it as Atiq Jameh Mosque?? --Orijentolog (talk) 15:46, 24 January 2022 (UTC)
- @Orijentolog: I will try to upload the images in a few hours.
- Atiq! I never heard in Torshiz. Persian name: مسجد جامع قدیم بردسکن. {{User|POS78}} talk 15:55, 24 January 2022 (UTC)
- OK, let it be Old Jameh Mosque of Bardaskan then. Usually we don't use "old" or "historic" in titles, even if such terms are part of official names, but in this case it's OK. --Orijentolog (talk) 16:03, 24 January 2022 (UTC)
