File:Eastern_Asia_HSR2011.svg
[edit]Hello, I just have updated the map with your information.
Usually, for readability reasons, I avoid to duplicate lines, even if there is two different lines on the same route. In European Map, all the classic line have been superseded by their high-speed counterpart, even the 200 km/h lines.
The Asia Map has been made "shelter-skelter", and most of the lines are straight lines between two cities : if you have precise drawing of the lines, it could be interesting to edit the map to match more precisely their geographical drawing.
Finally, I think it could be interesting to create a new Wikipedia page, with a list of all High Speed Lines in the world, based on the list I made for this image, and that you have edited.

Hi, even though there exists a "Malaysia Singapore Locator.png", that redirects to this file, and this file is needed to move to there to harmonize the name. Can you help me about this?--owennson(Meeting Room聊天室、Certificates獎座櫃) 15:36, 4 August 2015 (UTC)
- Oh, sorry. I cannot help you, you need an admin. Sémhur (talk) 20:07, 4 August 2015 (UTC)

[edit]What is the system of naming? Which country name should be first? Is there an alphabetical order? Or colours order? I can't understand it ;-) Tell me, please. Wieralee (talk) 09:41, 13 August 2015 (UTC)
- Hi, it's me again ;-) The descriptions of the files should be changed, too -- when you're putting a rename template, change the description, please. Wieralee (talk) 12:59, 22 August 2015 (UTC)

Tip: Categorizing images
[edit]
Thanks a lot for contributing to the Wikimedia Commons! Here's a tip to make your uploads more useful: Why not add some categories to describe them? This will help more people to find and use them.
Here's how:
1) If you're using the UploadWizard, you can add categories to each file when you describe it. Just click "more options" for the file and add the categories which make sense:
2) You can also pick the file from your list of uploads, edit the file description page, and manually add the category code at the end of the page.

For example, if you are uploading a diagram showing the orbits of comets, you add the following code:

This will make the diagram show up in the categories "Astronomical diagrams" and "Comets".
When picking categories, try to choose a specific category ("Astronomical diagrams") over a generic one ("Illustrations").
Thanks again for your uploads! More information about categorization can be found in Commons:Categories, and don't hesitate to leave a note on the help desk.--そらみみ (talk) 09:59, 5 February 2020 (UTC)
hey! as you were the last user to update that map earlier this year, i was wondering if you could do it again to include Brazil as a non-regional member, as it became one on the 5th of august (check here and here). thank you in advance! cósmico • talk 02:56, 18 August 2020 (UTC)
- User:Cósmico, thank you for you request, but I'm afraid I am unable to do so anymore since my iMac computer broke down and cannot be fixed, therefore thrown away. Now I can only do it on Windows which make everything harder. Sorry.--owennson(Meeting Room聊天室、Certificates獎座櫃) 11:33, 9 September 2020 (UTC)

[edit]Copyright status: File:Lai King Station exterior 20201221.jpg
This media may be deleted. |
Thanks for uploading File:Lai King Station exterior 20201221.jpg. I notice that the file page either doesn't contain enough information about the license or it contains contradictory information about the license, so the copyright status is unclear.
If you created this file yourself, then you must provide a valid copyright tag. For example, you can tag it with GFDL to release it under the multi-license GFDL plus Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike All-version license or you can tag it with PD-self to release it into the public domain. (See Commons:Copyright tags for the full list of license tags that you can use.) If you did not create the file yourself or if it is a derivative of another work that is possibly subject to copyright protection, then you must specify where you found it (e.g. usually a link to the web page where you got it), you must provide proof that it has a license that is acceptable for Commons (e.g. usually a link to the terms of use for content from that page), and you must add an appropriate license tag. If you did not create the file yourself and the specific source and license information is not available on the web, you must obtain permission through the VRT system and follow the procedure described there. Note that any unsourced or improperly licensed files will be deleted one week after they have been marked as lacking proper information, as described in criteria for deletion. If you have uploaded other files, please confirm that you have provided the proper information for those files, too. If you have any questions about licenses please ask at Commons:Village pump/Copyright or see our help pages. Thank you. |

If you are the copyright holder and the creator of the file, please read Commons:But it's my own work! for tips on how to provide evidence of that.
The file you added may soon be deleted. If you have written permission from the copyright holder, please replace the copyvio tag with and have them send us a free license release via COM:VRT. Help wit page update
[edit]Hello! I am trying to update https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Asian_Infrastructure_Investment_Bank_map.svg to show Cuba joining. I am not experienced at all with SVG type files. I have updated the image and it shows Cuba in blue when I open it in Chrome. But the file looks the same when I upload it here and Cuba is still white :( . I figured you know more than me and know how to do it properly. Thank you for any help! — Preceding unsigned comment added by BorderRegions (talk • contribs) 19:59, 20 October 2021 (UTC)
- @BorderRegions, I have faced similar problem too, all you need to do is to clear the view history and refresh the page.--owennson(Meeting Room聊天室、Certificates獎座櫃) 23:20, 20 October 2021 (UTC)
- @BorderRegions, wait a minute, I looked up on the webpage of AIIB, it didn't say Cuba become a member.--owennson(Meeting Room聊天室、Certificates獎座櫃) 14:47, 27 November 2021 (UTC)

- 搞定了。上次想搞的時候commons禁止了非原作者不能覆蓋舊版本的問題,搞得我焦頭爛額,處理不來。 owennson(Meeting Room聊天室、Certificates獎座櫃) 12:32, 5 November 2024 (UTC)
