Portrait of a Lute Player by Annibale Carracci
[edit]Hello Never covered, Re: File:Annibale Carracci 004.jpg, I noticed you uploaded a much improved version of this image on 30 July 2014. Yes, it is much improved in color and contrast, but it is of lower resolution (638 × 764 pixels) than the original (1,256 × 1,532). This suggests a couple of possibilities: perhaps you uploaded the new image from another source on the web, in which case, it would be a good idea to update the source field on the image description page with this information; or you may have downloaded the image to your computer and carried out adjustments in a photo editor, in which case you may have incorrectly downloaded the thumbnail image from the image description page, rather than the full-size image (which can be displayed in your browser by clicking on the thumbnail). Regardless, it would be great, if you remember what you did back then, if you could take some corrective action, i.e., updating the source field or downloading the larger version, adjusting it, and then uploading the adjusted image over the lower resolution image. I would appreciate if you would look at this again. And thank you for all of your other very positive contributions to Commons. --Robert.Allen (talk) 20:11, 22 January 2015 (UTC)
Source?
[edit]--Hafspajen 22:42, 17 March 2015 (UTC)
I noticed you uploaded a much improved version of this image. But you never changed the source. This is not the original, that it was given as source. --Hafspajen 22:42, 17 March 2015 (UTC)
- Please add source if you overwrite an image. Now nobody knows where the scan is from. --Hafspajen 22:43, 18 March 2015 (UTC)
AHA!! Thanks. --Hafspajen 23:04, 19 March 2015 (UTC)

- Now I can go on with my nomination... was thinking of making it into a Featured picture.
- 'About adding a source, you just push EDIT, and add where it say Source: Like this .. https://commons.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?title=File:DomenichinounicornPalFarnese.jpg&diff=154007099&oldid=153076948. Exactly like I did. Thanks. --Hafspajen 23:57, 19 March 2015 (UTC)
- Now I can go on with my nomination... was thinking of making it into a Featured picture.
- It is rather easy. And if it will be a Featured picture than you can put it on your userpage This editor has uploaded a featured picture on Wikipedia. --Hafspajen 16:14, 20 March 2015 (UTC)
Or maybe this, if on commons.
This user has uploaded 1 featured picture to Wikimedia Commons. |

more accurate categorization
[edit]Hi Never covered. Thank you very much for all the files of works of art that you have uploaded. Please, when you upload a file, it's important the category of the artist ok, but don't forget please to give the category of the place where the work of art is (museum Name, or church Name, or Palace Name, or collection Name, etc.), and the category of the subject too (what this painting or drawing or statues represents). It's very important! Thank you very much for your collaboration!

[edit]Hi, I do not know what to say ... are all ancient works, more than a hundred years. Is not sufficient? What I mind if cancellation is that all photos used for the construction of wikipedia pages (Italy), which would inevitably be ruined by the cancellation of the pictures ... I can not say more. See Commons:Licensing for the copyright policy on Wikimedia Commons, and Commons:Image casebook for some specific examples. Some other Wikimedia projects have different licensing policies. For example, the English Wikipedia allows fair use of sounds and photographs. This is not the case on Wikimedia Commons; "fair use" materials are not acceptable here.
Please make sure that you only upload educational content you have created yourself, those which are out of copyright, or those for which you have the required permission for the work to be used in all the ways described above.
File:Cherubino Alberti, Clementina Hall Ceiling.jpg has been marked as a possible copyright violation. Wikimedia Commons only accepts free content—that is, images and other media files that can be used by anyone, for any purpose. Traditional copyright law does not grant these freedoms, and unless noted otherwise, everything you find on the web is copyrighted and not permitted here. For details on what is acceptable, please read Commons:Licensing. You may also find Commons:Copyright rules useful, or you can ask questions about Commons policies at the Commons:Help desk. If you are the copyright holder and the creator of the file, please read Commons:But it's my own work! for tips on how to provide evidence of that.
The file you added has been deleted. If you have written permission from the copyright holder, please have them send us a free license release via COM:VRT. If you believe that the deletion was not in accordance with policy, you may request undeletion. (It is not necessary to request undeletion if using VRT; the file will be automatically restored at the conclusion of the process.) Warning: Wikimedia Commons takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

- Ok! Not bi-dimensional... nulla quaestio!--Never covered (talk) 09:27, 6 June 2016 (UTC)
- Right, since you obviously still have files like this hanging around, please review your existing uploads to identify any other copyrighted photographs that are incorrectly marked as being in the public domain, and tag them for deletion. Thanks, —LX (talk, contribs) 09:35, 6 June 2016 (UTC)

Copyright status: File:San Giovannino - Úbeda.jpg
[edit]Copyright status: File:San Giovannino - Úbeda.jpg
This media may be deleted. |
Thanks for uploading File:San Giovannino - Úbeda.jpg. I notice that the file page either doesn't contain enough information about the license or it contains contradictory information about the license, so the copyright status is unclear.
If you created this file yourself, then you must provide a valid copyright tag. For example, you can tag it with {{self|GFDL|cc-by-sa-all}} to release it under the multi-license GFDL plus Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike All-version license or you can tag it with {{PD-self}} to release it into the public domain. (See Commons:Copyright tags for the full list of license tags that you can use.) If you did not create the file yourself or if it is a derivative of another work that is possibly subject to copyright protection, then you must specify where you found it (e.g. usually a link to the web page where you got it), you must provide proof that it has a license that is acceptable for Commons (e.g. usually a link to the terms of use for content from that page), and you must add an appropriate license tag. If you did not create the file yourself and the specific source and license information is not available on the web, you must obtain permission through the VRT system and follow the procedure described there. Note that any unsourced or improperly licensed files will be deleted one week after they have been marked as lacking proper information, as described in criteria for deletion. If you have uploaded other files, please confirm that you have provided the proper information for those files, too. If you have any questions about licenses please ask at Commons:Village pump/Copyright or see our help pages. Thank you. |

Grazie per l’interessamento --Never covered (talk) 07:20, 13 February 2019 (UTC)
- Provo a tradurre in ingelse:No, in fact I was not at all sure that the file could be uploaded to Commons. The only thing that made me hypothesize that it could be is the fact that it is a very old picture, certainly before 1936. Of course if this upload is contrary to the licensing rules of WikiCommons I take note of good resolution of its cancellation. Thank you for your interest--Never covered (talk) 09:47, 13 February 2019 (UTC)
- Correct. We consider photographs of 3D art to have their own copyright (COM:ART#This does not apply to photographs of 3D works of art). Can you ascertain the photographer? If s/he died before 1939, we can upload it to Commons (Spain requires 80 years post mortem auctoris, per w:List of countries' copyright length). Magog the Ogre (talk) (contribs) 02:55, 15 February 2019 (UTC)
@Magog the Ogre: No, non ho idea di chi sia il fotografo né della data della sua morte, sorry (No, I have no idea who is the photographer, nor the date of his death, sorry)--Never covered (talk) 06:54, 15 February 2019 (UTC)
- That's a very good idea. Here's some other wording you can use: Template:Lang-EmailTemplate. Magog the Ogre (talk) (contribs) 04:12, 16 February 2019 (UTC)
@Magog the Ogre: Mi hanno risposto all'email ma mi hanno detto di non sapere niente dell'autore della foto. Credo che la cancellazione sia inevitabile. Grazie. Never covered
