User talk:Moeron
Our first steps help file and our FAQ will help you a lot after registration. They explain how to customize the interface (for example the language), how to upload files and our basic licensing policy. You don't need technical skills in order to contribute here. Be bold contributing here and assume good faith for the intentions of others. This is a wiki - it is really easy. More information is available at the Community Portal. You may ask questions at the Help desk, Village Pump or on IRC channel #wikimedia-commons. You can also contact an administrator on their talk page. If you have a specific copyright question, ask at Commons talk:Licensing. |

Hello Moeron! I noticed that soon after you uploaded Image:TreyAnastasio.jpg an administrator or trusted user review the image and indicated that the image was licensed under a Creative Commons license that is not permitted under Commons:Licensing. I checked the source at http://www.flickr.com/photos/bouche/198473862/ and it indicated likewise. As such I have tagged the image suggesting it be speedy deleted. If you are able to contact the right's owner in the future and they license the content under an appropriate license, please feel free to ask an administrator to undelete your image or list it at Commons:Undeletion requests. This messages also applies to Image:PhilLesh.jpg and Image:TABinConcert.jpg. Regards, Iamunknown 05:18, 7 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit]Please, when you upload Flickr pictures chose the HIGHER resolution available! Do not upload the thumbnail, but the ORIGINAL (and higher) size. Here you have a good tool to help the upload of Flickr images: http://wikipedia.ramselehof.de/flinfo.php . Thanks! Dantadd✉ 01:28, 4 June 2007 (UTC)
- That is what I use currently. Hrmmm. Moeron 02:17, 4 June 2007 (UTC)
- But before my message you've uploaded always the small or medium size. You have to upload the better resolution available. Take a look at these pictures:
- Image:ACooper.jpg: you uploaded a 13 KB version when there is a 558 KB (I already fixed it)
- Image:KChesney.jpg: you uploaded a 30 KB version when there is a 215 KB (I already fixed it)
- Image:JudasPriest.jpg: you uploaded a 130 KB version when there is a 711 KB (I already fixed it)
The pictures you uploaded after my message are OK (except one, but I already fixed it)! Dantadd✉ 14:05, 4 June 2007 (UTC)
- Very weird. Don't know what happened with those. Moeron 17:20, 4 June 2007 (UTC)
Image deletion warning | Image:MEinziger.jpg has been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether it should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at its entry. If you created this image, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it, such as a copyright issue. If the file is up for deletion because it has been superseded by a superior derivative of your work, consider the notion that although the file may be deleted, your hard work (which we all greatly appreciate) lives on in the new file. |

Hello!
Thank you for providing images to the Wikimedia Commons. Please keep in mind that images uploaded to the Commons should be useful to all users of Wikimedia projects. This is possible only if the images can be found by other people.
To allow others to find the images you uploaded here, the images should be in some place that can be found by navigating the category structure. This means that you should put the images into appropriate topic pages, categories, optionally galleries, or both of them (see Commons:Categories). To find good categories for your images, the CommonSense tool may help.
You can find a convenient overview of your uploaded files in this gallery.
The important point is that the images should be placed in the general structure somewhere. There are a large number of completely unsorted images on the Commons right now. If you would like to help to place some of those images where they can be found, please do!
Thank you. 78.48.34.18 13:41, 12 January 2008 (UTC)
