Autism

[edit]

Please stop adding these people to categories unless they are supported by reliable sources. en:WP:BLP applies equally here, and at least two of your additions do not mention autism in their Wikipedia articles. Ths is a dangerous path to start upon for a recent editor of Commons. Rodhullandemu (talk) 23:44, 30 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Do you remember which two additions? I definitely don't want to accidentally make any erroneous claims. MissLunaRose12 (talk) 23:50, 30 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
A recent example: Category:David Byrne. Categories added on the basis of a self-diagnosis as a child "Borderline autistic- I guess". Not a clinical diagnosis, but a personal opinion, which has every scope to be wrong. You need to use only reliable sources, unless you want yourself and Wikimedia, to be sued for defamation. Sorry, but it is that serious and I suggest you stop and review our policies about what can safely be said about people. Say anything about the dead, they have no rights in that department, but famous living people do have rights- and lawyers. Cheers. Rodhullandemu (talk) 23:58, 30 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@MissLunaRose12: Hi. Do you think you could either replace this image with a version without the headphones or make a new version without the headphones? It's just that it may mislead people into thinking echolalia is a headphones-related phenomenon (like a speech jammer or something) on first glance. As I'm sure you know, it's totally indiscriminate. I myself had it as a child and would repeat any question my parents asked me without answering.

Thank you. SUM1 (talk) 13:55, 20 January 2020‎ (UTC)[reply]

Right... I forget that non-autistic people sometimes ascribe special meaning to headphones. I uploaded a new version. It's less aesthetically pleasing I think, but less likely to inspire that type of misunderstanding. MissLunaRose12 (talk) 15:23, 24 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@MissLunaRose12: Thank you for the update. Your efforts are much appreciated. I do have a diagnosis of ASD, but my issue was just with accuracy above all, that's all. SUM1 (talk) 03:02, 27 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you! And I meant "non-autistic viewers," not you specifically. It's nice to meet another autistic person on Wikimedia Commons! MissLunaRose12 (talk) 17:53, 28 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Autopatrol given

[edit]

Hello. I just wanted to let you know that I have granted autopatrol rights to your account; the reason for this is that I believe you are sufficiently trustworthy and experienced to have your contributions automatically marked as "reviewed". This has no effect on your editing, it is simply intended to make it easier for users that are monitoring Recent changes or Recent uploads to find unproductive edits amidst the productive ones like yours. In addition, the Flickr upload feature and an increased number of batch-uploads in UploadWizard, uploading of freely licensed MP3 files, overwriting files uploaded by others and an increased limit for page renames per minute are now available to you. Thank you. ~riley (talk) 05:07, 25 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Sensory art

[edit]

Hi, I saw https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Autism_Aspect_Sensory_Sensitivity_1.png on Wikipedia and was impressed. The artwork is powerful -- especially depicting something auditory in a visual medium. So I just poked through the art you've contributed to the wiki projects, and my, you are prolific! On the other end of the spectrum (no pun intended), https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Autistic_Culture_1.png fills me with... hope, really, from both the message and the aesthetic. Thank you for it, and keep up the great art. Arzg (talk) 04:52, 1 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks so much! I appreciate your kind words. MissLunaRose12 (talk) 22:39, 23 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. I am so glad for your Neurodiversity symbol work. Can you transform the logo into .svg file? thanks! - Ellif (talk) 16:19, 18 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, I'm afraid I don't know how. I wish I could, though. MissLunaRose12 (talk) 22:39, 23 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
User:Ellif: Try this free converter. It's as easy as drag and drop. --66.244.121.212 03:21, 11 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@66.244.121.212: Hello. The file converted into .svg, by the Illustration Workshop. Thank you. - Ellif (talk) 05:55, 12 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
No problem. I hope you put it to good use. --66.244.121.212 01:56, 19 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Unsourced medical summaries

[edit]

Just to let you know I've added a {{References missing}} template to the following uploads, which make medical statements or attribute quotations to organisations, without giving a source to verify them against:

Photos of kids with Down Syndrome

[edit]

Hi! I would like to suggest updating the photos of kids with DS on the Down Syndrome Wiki page. I have a son with DS and would be happy to send you some to add. The illustration of the baby that you see at the start of the page does not resemble a child with down syndrome very accurately. It also creates a very negative feeling when people come to learn more about down syndrome. Please let me know. Thank you. Alan Thatdadblog (talk) 18:56, 24 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Alan, can you provide a link to the page you're talking about? MissLunaRose12 (talk) 20:05, 26 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Image about autism

[edit]

Hi MissLunaRose12, Thank you for creating and uploading images around autism! One I came across is this one: File:Autistic Mind 5.png, it is helpful to explain autism. Do you perhaps have the background of this image also as a separate file available or can such be made? That would be very useful to describe how the world is without a person with autism. Thanks! Romaine (talk) 05:02, 26 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

A barnstar for you!

The Graphic Designer's Barnstar
I know it's more than just "graphic design" but there wasn't another barnstar that seemed appropriate. Thank you for your wonderful, prolific contributions! MrAureliusR (talk) 00:47, 22 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Please avoid watermarked pictures

[edit]

čeština  Deutsch  español  English  italiano  magyar  македонски  русский  हिन्दी  ಕನ್ನಡ  +/−

Some images you uploaded contain(s) watermarks. The usage of watermarks is discouraged according to policy. If a non-watermarked version of the image is available, please upload it under the same file name. After removing the watermark, ensure that the removed information is present in the EXIF tags, the image description page, or both. Thank you for understanding.

Additionally: I hope this doesn't discourage you from creating artwork. This isn't something that isn't really forbidden, just discouraged. There's also EXIF metadata that you might use for putting attribution information if that helps. Thanks. SergioFLS (talk) 19:29, 24 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Vector Graphics

[edit]

your arts verry good, but you should use vector graphics. list of reasons why. here is a video showing you how to edit in vector:[1] and when you draw in vector you can export in vector.[2]. If you dont wanna draw in vector you can draw in pixels and trace over it but that seems like a waist of time you should just use vector from the beggining. more help i found online:[3]. You can learn vector whenever you want to, it's not the end of the world if you draw in pixels, I woulent wanna make drawing less fun for you by forcing you to learn vector, but alot of your dawings are marked with a box saying they would be better in vector and I was thinking of translating your echolaila drawing into vector for you, but its better to teach you how to do it as im not gonna translate all of your drawings.
