- "Pictures can be used with reference to the source" does not include a release under a free Creative Commons licence. It does even not include a free publication. It just allows the usage by stating the ministry as source. That's all, but this is sadly not enough. If you can purchase a permission from the Romanian ministry of defense, then it would work (more information here: COM:OTRS.). --High Contrast (talk) 18:57, 4 October 2010 (UTC)
- I've found several other pictures with a similar license ("Pictures can be used with reference to the source") : http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Laromxl6.jpg .Is this the right license for these pictures?
According to the Romanian Law on Copyright and Neighboring Rights Law no. 8/1996 of March 14, 1996 with further amendments Chapter 3 Article 9 the following documents shall not benefit from the legal protection accorded to copyright:
Also, according to Chapter 10 Article 85 Paragraph 2,
Therefore this image is assumed to be in the public domain worldwide, although some of the above categories may be subject to usage restrictions within Romania.

Hello!
Please specify the source of this image. Where can it be found on www.comunismulinromania.ro exactly. Please provide the URL on which the image can be seen. Thank you. Greetings, High Contrast (talk) 11:20, 25 December 2010 (UTC)
- Can you state the URL, on which the image is placed, too? This would be more neccessary. By now, you have stated the direct jpg. link. --High Contrast (talk) 11:28, 25 December 2010 (UTC)
- You mean the URL of the photo archive? http://www.comunismulinromania.ro/Arhiva-foto/Decembrie-89/Revolutia-1989-III.html Mircea87 (talk) 11:32, 25 December 2010 (UTC)

File:GheorgheTatarescu.PNG
[edit]Hallo Mircea87, please have a look at File:GheorgheTatarescu.PNG. What was the content of the ticket? Why did you remove the copyright tag?
If you are a OTRS member please get your user rights OTRS flag to indicate this. Thanks and cheers --Saibo (Δ) 02:13, 30 December 2011 (UTC)
- The OTRS ticket was for all photos from mapn.ro under cc-by-sa 3.0 terms. I removed the old copyright tag, but I probably forgot to add the cc-by-sa 3.0 tag. I'm no OTRS member, I just mailed the Romanian Minister of Defense and obtained OTRS permission for their photos.--Mircea87 (talk) 08:50, 30 December 2011 (UTC)
- Hallo Mircea87, sorry I missed your answer. Please reply to the OTRS email and tell them to add the tag and license to this file. Thanks you. --Saibo (Δ) 22:07, 6 February 2012 (UTC)
- I'm not sure what exactly are you asking me. The OTRS number was obtained some time ago for the mapn.ro photos. I just uploaded a bigger version of this file from mapn.ro and figured I should use the OTRS number for them and the cc-by-sa 3.0 license. So I removed the old license tag, but the only thing I forgot was to actually insert the cc-by-sa 3.0 license. If inserting a valid OTRS number and a different license by a non-OTRS member is not permitted, than just revert my edits. I'm sure the bigger version of this file is still in PD, as it's a scan of an image that is in PD in Romania.--Mircea87 (talk) 00:02, 7 February 2012 (UTC)
- If the small picture is in the PD due to expiration of copyrights then the large one is too. I do not know what is inside the ticket or what it is about (I am no OTRS member). I had a look for that OTRS number at other images: I see you have organized many images from that organization? E.g. File:SAUR trecind prin vad.jpg. Well, OTRS tags by non-OTRS members are a problem since outsiders like me cannot know if the tags is valid and for what it is valid. Some custom license tag with OTRS permission like {{Sitzendorf permission}} would be way better for a larger number of images.
So you know that the ticket number is valid for all photos from their website and that they have acquired the relevant copyrights? Thanks for your replies. :-) --Saibo (Δ) 01:32, 7 February 2012 (UTC)

So-called "76,2 mm Schneider-Putilov 1902/04"
[edit]Do you have any detailed photos of this gun? Thank you beforehands. Ain92 (talk) 21:44, 12 January 2013 (UTC)
- 1, 2. The Schneider-Danglis 06/09 gun is based on this design. More info here (in Romanian) at page 75. Both types were rechambered to 75 mm during the Interwar period.--Mircea87 (talk) 20:28, 13 January 2013 (UTC)
- Thanks for photos. =) What's the source that this gun had designation Model 1902/1904? It seems that it has carriage of 3-inch gun M1913 and ordnance of M1909. Russian sources say that development of this gun series (M1909, M1910, M1913, M1927) started only in 1908. Ain92 (talk) 22:23, 14 January 2013 (UTC)
- According to Romanian sources, the 1902/04 gun was of French origin, being designed as a 75 mm gun by Schneider. It was licensed-built in Russia as a 76,2 mm gun. The Greek col. Danglis modified and improved this design => Schneider-Danglis 06/09. That's all I know about it.--Mircea87 (talk) 09:43, 15 January 2013 (UTC)
- Russian historian Shirokorad says that the original design of 75 mm dismountable gun was created by colonel Danglis in 1893, but it was declined by Greek military ministry. Only in 1905 Danglis offered it to Schneider, arrived to France in November. Schneider designed a new mountain carriage, tested the whole gun in the middel of 1906 in France and then in April-June 1907 in Greece, and after that it was adopted by Greeks. Source: (in Russian). Ain92 (talk) 14:59, 16 January 2013 (UTC)
- I'm sure that the carriage was produced on Putilovsky plant after 1913, it's definitely the same as of 76.2 mm mountain gun M1913. Anyway, I think that production numbers on the carriage and the barrel can clear up the origin of this gun. Ain92 (talk) 14:59, 16 January 2013 (UTC)

- Hello again. Could you please upload some photos of Schneider-Danglis gun that is placed near? Ain92 (talk) 17:39, 19 February 2013 (UTC)
- The gun to the left (green one) or the to the right (grey one)? I'm not sure which one you're talking about.--Mircea87 (talk) 11:34, 24 March 2013 (UTC)
- I mean this one. Ain92 (talk) 13:40, 24 March 2013 (UTC)
- 1 The frontal pics I took are not that great, there were some large plants in front of the gun.--Mircea87 (talk) 14:07, 24 March 2013 (UTC)
