Thanks for uploading File:Head Statue of Mir Damad–سردیس میرداماد.png. This media is missing permission information. A source is given, but there is no proof that the author or copyright holder agreed to license the file under the given license. Please provide a link to an appropriate webpage with license information, or ask the author or copyright holder to send an email with copy of a written permission to VRT (permissions-commons@wikimedia.org). You may still be required to go through this procedure even if you are the author yourself; please see Commons:But it's my own work! for more details. After you emailed permission, you may replace the {{No permission since}} tag with {{subst:PP}} on file description page. Alternatively, you may click on "Challenge speedy deletion" below the tag if you wish to provide an argument why evidence of permission is not necessary in this case.
Please see this page for more information on how to confirm permission, or if you would like to understand why we ask for permission when uploading work that is not your own, or work which has been previously published (regardless of whether it is your own). Warning: unless the permission information is given, the file may be deleted after seven days. Thank you. |

File source is not properly indicated: File:Roya Kelishadi MD-دکتر رویا کلیشادی.jpg
[edit]This media was probably deleted. |
A file that you have uploaded to Wikimedia Commons, File:Roya Kelishadi MD-دکتر رویا کلیشادی.jpg, was missing information about where it comes from or who created it, which is needed to verify its copyright status. The file probably has been deleted. If you've got all required information, request undeletion providing this information and the link to the concerned file (
[[:File:Roya Kelishadi MD-دکتر رویا کلیشادی.jpg]] ).
If you created the content yourself, enter If someone else created the content, or if it is based on someone else's work, the source should be the address to the web page where you found it, the name and ISBN of the book you scanned it from, or similar. You should also name the author, provide verifiable information to show that the content is in the public domain or has been published under a free license by its author, and add an appropriate template identifying the public domain or licensing status, if you have not already done so. Warning: Wikimedia Commons takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. Please add the required information for this and other files you have uploaded before adding more files. If you need assistance, please ask at the help desk. Thank you! |

[edit]Please do not open new, non-standard categories any more. Like cultural heritage monuments in art, history of buildings, and so on. 80% of opened categories are for deletion. You're making a huge damage and chaos. --Orijentolog (talk) 21:08, 12 December 2024 (UTC)
- Hi, Thanks for the feedback. I checked other categories and I find similar naming and I thought they are standard categories. Sorry for the inconvenience Mhsheikholeslami (talk) 15:20, 13 December 2024 (UTC)
- It's OK, not a big deal, even other experienced users are making such mistakes. Generally, any category named like "history of [building]" contains years, decades, sometimes also events. It is not opened based on photos which we consider as "old" or "historical". All photographs are "historical", even ones taken few seconds ago. These go to the category named as "[building] in 2024". Even more important, such chronological categories (years & decades) are of secondary importance. They should always accompany primary categories which answers the question "What?". So any image which has only categories like 2023 in Tehran or X Mosque in 2022 are nonsensical, they should also have some categories of places (buildings or streets for Tehran, rooms or elements for mosque).
- Now see one practical example: Jameh Mosque of Yazd. It has History of Jameh Mosque of Yazd, containing years and decades, as well as a single artistic image of unknown date. ALL of 1165 images are dated (unless I missed some), BUT all have accompanying categories of rooms, courtyard, iwans, minarets, etc. Imagine if everything is categorized only under years, if you search for a valid photo of courtyard, iwans, minarets or anything in particular, so must open tens of categories to find it. That's worthless. --Orijentolog (talk) 18:54, 14 December 2024 (UTC)
- Hi, thank you very much for fixing the issues that I created. Thanks also for explaining how the naming standard for categories work. There are lots of details that should be considered. I checked the Jameh Mosque of Yazd, it is amazing and it is very well organized and in details. Even you can find Southern iwan of Jameh Mosque of Yazd. I will use Jameh Mosque of Yazd as a references for future edits. Thanks again for all the efforts that you are making to improve the Wikimedia Commons or all other Wikipedia pages. Regards Mhsheikholeslami (talk) 15:48, 15 December 2024 (UTC)
- You're welcome. It took me many days to properly categorize that mosque, especially putting decoration details in proper rooms. Like where's this, this, or this? It was hard, but I found virtually all. Tabatabai House, Sepahsalar Mosque and others were equally time-consuming. Regarding to southern iwan, it's even dated (1410), also referenced in Wikidata. Now just imagine how much time it took me to find references for few thousands of buildings and places of all 575 years. :) Everything other related to Architecture of Iran and Buildings in Iran is also strictly arranged, so I dare to say it's the best organized country regarding architecture. But organization is still far from being complete. At the moment I'm trying to solve Buildings in Tehran: I passed 528 individual buildings and still tens more are waiting, many more thing to do. Other cities will also come later, including your Isfahan. Also, I'm not asking you to follow this complicated categorization, if you upload photo just leave it under the major category and leave dirty job to me. :) --Orijentolog (talk) 04:47, 16 December 2024 (UTC)
