[edit]The picture of the Aurora from flickr that you uploaded here is not released under a free license that forbids commercial use and making of derivative works. Note that there is not one, but several Creative Commons licenses, several of which are not free licenses suitable for Wikimedia Commons. If you still want to have it on Wikimedia Commons, get in touch with the author an ask him to release the file under a suitable free license or to waive all his rights and release it into the public domain. For tips on that have a look here: Commons:WikiProject Permission requests and maybe follow the helpful link(s)...
Another tip: When uploading files from flickr, there's often bigger versions available, accessible for example by clicking the "show in lightbox" link to the lower right of the image. Give us the biggest one available or use the automated tool that eases the whole process and warns about wrong licenses.--Scanmap (talk) 19:31, 2 March 2014 (UTC)
