See the deletion request; the uploader has provided evidence that he has the right to release all of these images. Would you mind withdrawing the request? Nyttend (talk) 14:14, 13 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@Nyttend: I'm really surprised by a company placing its corporate logo under cc-by-sa-4.0. It sounds like they don't know exactly what they're doing. However, I've deleted the banners on File:AphelionApplication44.jpg and File:ADCISOfficeSCThumb.png. What elese I got to do to withdraw the request? --Lacrymocéphale (talk) 14:38, 13 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I too was surprised. Just asking that you add a statement to the DR saying basically "since copyright's cleared up, I withdraw this request". Of course, if you don't want to withdraw, that's different. Nyttend (talk) 15:01, 13 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
@Nyttend: I talked to Damien ELIE about the free corporate logos. He may move them to fr.wikipedia.org and just keep illustrations on Commons. I'll update the request after his feedback. Thank you. --Lacrymocéphale (talk) 16:50, 13 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
You're welcome, and of course I'll be happy to use admin tools if you or he ask me to; just let me know what's needed. Nyttend (talk) 16:53, 13 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I saw your map request. Unfortunately I don't know how to fix SVG files. Do you know anyone? --MehrdadFR (talk) 21:18, 6 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

File:Discrimination against atheists.png - this map is more comprehensive then others because beside death penalty it shows discriminatory laws also. In case of Iran it's correct and I can confirm it because according to the Constitution of Iran (article 115) president must be a believer (quote: ييس جمهور بايد از ميان رجال مذهبي و سياسي كه واجد شرايط زير باشند انتخاب گردد). --MehrdadFR (talk) 02:05, 8 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Lavatory Service

[edit]

Hello, Lacrymocéphale !

I own all the rights to these pictures, please cancel your deletion request. This is my one-man music project. I'm creating the WIKI page for it.

I'm talking about these:

https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Lavatory-service-preview-2.png https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:LS_logo_and_the_name.png https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Lavatory-service-preview-_medium.png

Hi @SadigAlizada:
So, every one can freely use your band logo? You confirm you're statement File:Lavatory-service-preview-_medium.png#Licensing "You are free:
  • to share – to copy, distribute and transmit the work
  • to remix – to adapt the work"?
If so, do it on the deletion request. If there is effectively no problem, my request will be rejected.
And why uploading it several times?
For the wiki, be sure your band matchs w:WP:BAND.

Hi there, please can you help me delete my picture I uploaded by accident?

Many thanks — Preceding unsigned comment added by Charleywoltynski (talk • contribs) 29 avril 2016 à 14:13‎ (UTC)

Many thanks. Will the other picture be deleted also? If not, do you know how I can? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Charleywoltynski (talk • contribs) 29 avril 2016 à 14:17‎‎ (UTC)
@Charleywoltynski: Both have been nominated for deletion (wrong author and maybe copyright infringement) --Lacrymocéphale (talk) 14:23, 29 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Thankyou, so they will no longer appear in my uploads? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Charleywoltynski (talk • contribs) 29 avril 2016 à 14:25 (UTC)

Dear Lacrymocéphale,

EDA owns all the rights to the EDA logo picture that was uploaded in Wikicommons, could you please cancel your deletion request ?

Thank you.

Dairyanton — Preceding unsigned comment added by Dairyanton (talk • contribs) 08:00, 07 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

@Dairyanton:
EDA says that nobody can't use the logo without asking (http://www.eda2016.eu/fr/mentions-legales/). Commons says everyone can use it without asking. This is an inacceptable trap. If EDA want to have their Logo on Commons, EDA must change the licence of its logo to a licence compatible with Commons one and declare copyleft-like licence on http://www.eda2016.eu/fr/mentions-legales/ instead of the absolute contrary.
Owning means nothing: Commons is about giving freely.

Hello, Lacrymocéphale ! I will excuse your French if you excuse my computer! I sent a bulk of photos of his works, copyrighted, by artist Carroll N. Jones. McCauls Florist was deleted. He has given me permission for all .jpg's he has sent to me over the years. The ticket number is [Ticket#2016012410007425] and I am preparing an email. It has been a long time since I last did this, and have forgotten some steps, I'm sure.

I'm sure I have used improper protocol. Sure as I am a newbie. But I am learning, thanks. jrbwalk (talk) 00:03, 26 July 2016 (UTC)jrbwalk[reply]

Hi @Jrbwalk:
Actually the main problem (from my point of view) is the apparent contradiction between
  • "Source All are copyrighted materials of Carroll Jones III" and
  • "This file is licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike 4.0 International license." (aka CC BY-SA 4.0)
You should also be aware of what it means for an artist to have is work placed under a licence such as CC BY-SA 4.0, maybe a loss of profit.
I'll ask for help later.

I mainly concern to you to why you delete the upload photo relevant to the article of this picture! so please gave me 5 reasons to you to block this upload photo and why is this important to me to make it non copyright upload, I'm sure that you understand my concern ang talk to me sometimes for more information that i make to not violate any wikimedia article rights

@Patpart1:
  1. I didn't delete it. I ask for deletion and the deletion was confirmed and executed by Storkk
  2. 5 reasons? 1 reason is enough: Copyright infringement. Trademark logos are copyrighted and can't be uploaded on Commons. See COM:Licensing and COM:Fair use.
  3. You can upload them directly on the concerned Wikipedia if fair use is available there.

@Patpart1: We do not allow fair use claims for images on Commons, so can only accept images that are freely licensed. This obviously is not, and so you violated CNN's copyright. Please read and understand our licensing policy before uploading anything further. Failure to abide by it will result in you being blocked. Storkk (talk) 11:30, 26 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

@Lacrymocéphale Thank you for youy concern about fair use ,but i matter of fact my photo is used with permission and CNN copyright is not included on this picture because this is fair used with permission from 9 Media Corp(who take respond to CNN PH) i wish t5hat you will not blocked my upload picture ,thanks! @Patpar1: please read COM:FAIRUSE: faire use is not allowed on Commons. It can be on some Wikipedia (not all) and the logo can be uploaded directly on a Wikipedia allowing it, like https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Non-free_content --Lacrymocéphale (talk) 11:14, 30 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I have granted rollback rights to your account; the reason for this is that after a review of some of your contributions, I believe I can trust you to use rollback correctly by using it for its intended usage of reverting vandalism, and that you will not abuse it to revert-war. For information on rollback, see Commons:Rollback. If you do not want rollback, just let me know, and I'll remove it. Good luck and thanks. Thibaut120094 (talk) 02:03, 19 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

@V.derreck:
@Lacrymocéphale:
Cordialement, --V.Derreck — Preceding unsigned comment added by V.derreck (talk • contribs) 14:41, 22 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
@Lacrymocéphale:
Cordialement V.Derreck — Preceding unsigned comment added by V.derreck (talk • contribs) 15:01, 22 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
@V.derreck: Je ne vois pas en quoi le droit à l'information autorise à utiliser les photos appartenant à quelqu'un d'autre. --Lacrymocéphale (talk) 15:09, 22 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
PS : apprenez à signer correctement s'il vous plait : User talk:V.derreck#Please sign your postings.
@Lacrymocéphale:
@V.derreck:
--Lacrymocéphale (talk) 17:25, 22 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
@Lacrymocéphale:

@V.derreck:

Bonjour, je me permets d'intervenir.

Pyb (talk) 03:37, 23 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

KonaKart Wikipedia page

[edit]

Thew new "swirl" logo has been loaded and is visible on the page at the moment. This is the one we want. The other one with the palm tree is the old one and no longer required.

About the references that you previously removed because you saw no reference to "KonaKart" on those pages. It's normal for the users of the KonaKart software not to show the word "KonaKart" anywhere on their sites. They are free to do that. The references were examples of what users of the software have done.

I'm sorry I don't know all the rules of Wikipedia. We are trying to conform but it's not always easy to know what to do.

I'm not even sure if this is the correct way to send you a message so please accept my apologies if this isn't the right way. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Janehearne (talk • contribs) 10:26, 31 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

    • What http://snapbackmarketing.com/ does here? Is it the source page? If it used on this site which states "Copyright © 2016 Snapback Marketing | All rights reserved.", the image doesn't seems to be un-protected.
  1. The image can be found on several websites and, in particular, on http://www.botsume.com/img/getsocial.jpeg with the exact same dimensions (5,565 × 3,710 pixels). And Botsume states "Copyright © CollegeHaxcess, LLC 2016". The image doesn't seem un-protected.

Hi, Lacrymocephale! Thanks for your concern about the Classic Drummer logo and cover on the Classic Drummer page. Prior to posting, I contacted the editor-in-chief and owner of the publication and copyright, Steve Bryant, and he has given express permission for these to be used. Aide Fiche Anthony Cianni

[edit]

--Ruthven (msg) 21:48, 25 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Your VFC installation method is deprecated

[edit]

Hello Lacrymocéphale, we are aware that using the old installation method of VFC (via common.js, which you are using) may not work reliably anymore and can break other scripts as well. A detailed explanation can be found here. Important: To prevent problems please remove the old VFC installation code from your common.js and instead enable the VFC gadget in your preferences. Bom dia, senhor!

Inclusive já possui uma template no Wikimedia Commons a respeito do assunto proposto. {{PD-BrazilGov}}

I'm pretty sure that what we can't read at the bottom of the legend is the true author and likely a kind of copyright. But I didn't found out yet what "LGN" could be. --Lacrymocéphale (talk) 11:16, 14 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

"This changes by Naranv juste make ZADNA Board of Directors look like Category:ZADNA Board of Directors. Still no interest in a handmade category-like static page. Seems like we are dealing with newbies not knowing what they're doing."

While not common, it is certainly permitted to have a gallery with the same images as a category. The two have different purposes. I am afraid that your second sentence may be more true of you than of the creator of this gallery.

You might better have noted that all the images were copyvios -- they appear on the ZADNA web site with an explicit copyright notice. It looks like the Flickr page is {{COM:LL|license laundering]].

Colecho

[edit]

Hola, si no hablas español, tradúcelo.

A transvestite pretending to be a man with 2 childen attached to her: https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/7/77/Barbora_Balkova_EveAdamIdealniSituaceBudemeVsichniSpat2006.jpg

Don't you think this is a much better option?? https://images.clarin.com/2015/03/19/BJglN1B0Xl_1256x620.jpg

You could find a much better option to represent this article, instead of delete user's contributions that fits much closer to reality. I'm just not politically correct and I think you're just another slave system, another sheep. You said that to me just because you're in front of a screen, not in front of me. You wouldn't say that to me in person.

I saw your other replies to other users. You're deffinitely the WORST Wikipedia's moderator ever. There you have! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Andresvalbuena (talk • contribs) 13:38, 14 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

You are the one to accuse me to remove the image for political reason. I ask for image removal because of copyright infringement. --Lacrymocéphale (talk) 13:54, 14 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I don't mind if you're a moderator or just a snitch. You said I'm a thief and a homophobic, ok you're right. But I have a real job earning thousands of dollars at year with no worries if people do not DoNAtE MOneY YeAr aFtER YeAR tO KeEP My jOb you're just here, searching 24/7 who's violating intellectual property lol, and insulting people. Your life must to be so damn depressing dude. Good bye. Go tell to your daddy moderator to ban me for life if you want to. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Andresvalbuena (talk • contribs) 13:59, 14 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@Andresvalbuena:
LOL. I asked a question. You are going very affirmative for someone still behind his screen.
I'm behind a screen too! I could tell that I'm so rich I don't need a job so here I'm. Many things to imagine.
While you were insulting me here, I was reestablishing your caption on https://es.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Colecho&action=history because a robot try to mimic me.
--Lacrymocéphale (talk) 14:08, 14 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
It's ok. That last contribution wasn't ok, it was just a moment of anger, like these replays. All I just wanted to was to change the picture but if I can't do that because copyrights then I must to accept it. You can restore all changes back. Sorry if I bothered you with my stupidity. All you are doing is just your job. Bye. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Andresvalbuena (talk • contribs) 14:21, 14 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@Andresvalbuena: You can change the image. You can find an existing image here or upload an image of your own. To find someone else image somewhere else than here needs to be very careful about image license. --Lacrymocéphale (talk) 14:30, 14 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Deletion of Kirsty Strain Official Headshot

[edit]

Ok. This will be the SECOND time that Kirsty Strain's OFFICIAL headshot has been deleted from Wikipedia. I find it utterly perplexing that Wikipedia, and moderators from countries who have no idea who these people are, flag files for deletion. It's utterly ridiculous. I have personally confirmed with Kirsty Strain that the headshots are owned by her. Please remove the flag for deletion.

Wikipedia is getting absolutely preposterous in its logic. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Phil McCarron (talk • contribs) 22:20, 15 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Phil McCarron:
Everybody can say that from behind a screen. You are anonymous.
Prove it to commons:COM:OTRS. Until you prove that you own the right to publish this photo here under Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike 4.0 International as you did or under another license compatible with Wikimedia Commons, this image is copyrighted and got to be deleted for copyright infringement.

@Phil McCarron: The logic of Wikipedia is "free" (in its open-source meaning). Every Wikipedia content must free to use, reuse and transform, even commercially. Deleting copyrighted unfree content is this logic continuity. --Lacrymocéphale (talk) 22:36, 15 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Ahhh...so you are playing the "keyboard gangster" card. Interesting; I'm as anonymous as you are right now, mate, so you can get the fuck off your high-horse. Personally, couldn't give a f*ck with fascist regimes like Wikipedia anymore. So just keep her headshot deleted. I'm deleting my account from here as it proves utterly useless. Over the past 5 years, Wikipedia has fallen from a useful tool to that of utter irrelevance. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Phil McCarron (talk • contribs) 22:46, 15 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Phil McCarron: I know that I'm anonymous. That's not the point. The point is: This image is copyrighted, available elsewhere, easy to download elsewhere and reupload here so an unknown user can't claim to have ownership just like that. Respect of intellectual property is fascism? --Lacrymocéphale (talk) 05:35, 16 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Think we cleared possible uncertainty
Dear Lacrymocéphale,

We thank you for making us aware of any uncertainty related to our first contribution. We as manufacturer of the item the photo shows, and photographer of the photo as part of a photo-shoot, cleared the possible issue with Wiki Commons.

Please, just be patient.

File:Photo-1502395809857-fd80069897d0.jpg has been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether it should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at its entry.

If you created this file, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it, such as a copyright issue. Please see Commons:But it's my own work! for a guide on how to address these issues.

Please remember to respond to and – if appropriate – contradict the arguments supporting deletion. Arguments which focus on the nominator will not affect the result of the nomination. Thank you!
