User talk:KChukudi
Our first steps tour and our frequently asked questions will help you a lot after registration. They explain how to customize the interface (for example the language), how to upload files and our basic licensing policy (Wikimedia Commons only accepts free content). You don't need technical skills in order to contribute here. Be bold when contributing and assume good faith when interacting with others. This is a wiki. More information is available at the community portal. You may ask questions at the help desk, village pump or on IRC channel #wikimedia-commons (webchat). You can also contact an administrator on their talk page. If you have a specific copyright question, ask at the copyright village pump. |

Notification about possible deletion
[edit]Some contents have been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether they should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at their entry.
If you created these pages, please note that the fact that they have been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with them, such as a copyright issue. Please see Commons:But it's my own work! for a guide on how to address these issues. |

- Okay, all these files were taken from Openverse according to copywriting rules, but further discussion can be applied to make corrections. Thank you. KChukudi (talk) 18:29, 23 February 2024 (UTC)
- Could I also make a request, when you find files on Openverse, could you do the following?
- On the Openverse page, hit the button that says "Go to image"
- It probably takes you to a Flickr page. This is important because Openverse does not own or host any photographs - it just links to other free and free-ish license image depositories.
- Once you there, copy the Flickr image link and put it in the "source" field. I noticed that for your most recent uploads, you didn't leave a source link. It's important for you to include a link where other users can verify the source.
- (this step is optional but helpful for other users) If you do get an image from Flickr, add {{Flickrreview}} with the license so the bot can automatically check that the image is licensed correctly.
- Oh, and please make sure to give meaningful titles and categories. Category:Politics in the 2010s is an incredibly broad category and Category:Elections in the United States by year is a navigational category and should not contain any images (not to mention that none of your uploads show elections). And none of the caricatures you uploaded show the Koch brothers. You can see the changes I've made to your files and I think you'll find that they make more sense.
- Thanks. Please let me know if you have any questions. Adeletron 3030 (talk) 18:55, 23 February 2024 (UTC)
- Thank you for notifying me about this fact. Accept my apologies for not doing the right thing, I am just a learner, trying to make meaningful input on Wiki common. Please, feel free to contribute to my page, making it compliant with the rules. KChukudi (talk) 08:45, 24 February 2024 (UTC)
- With all due respect, your response about “not doing the right thing” or “compliant with the rules” tells me you either didn’t take the time to actually read my comment or don’t understand what I’m asking you to do. And it looks like you’re blocked from English Wikipedia for responding to user talk comments with polite but empty responses like “Noted”, then continuing to do what you’re asked not to. Please demonstrate that you actually understand or be honest if English is your second language and you don’t actually understand. Adeletron 3030 (talk) 03:26, 25 February 2024 (UTC)
