User talk:Jim Conca
Our first steps help file and our FAQ will help you a lot after registration. They explain how to customize the interface (for example the language), how to upload files and our basic licensing policy. You don't need technical skills in order to contribute here. Be bold contributing here and assume good faith for the intentions of others. This is a wiki ‒ it is really easy. More information is available at the Community Portal. You may ask questions at the Help desk, Village Pump or on IRC channel #wikimedia-commons. You can also contact an administrator on their talk page. If you have a specific copyright question, ask at Commons talk:Licensing. |

Pressing save automatically posts your message, and anyone answering you will post something right under it. If you have any more questions, just go to my talk page, click edit button (on the very top), type your message on the bottom of the edit page, and click save. Hope this helps. --Digon3 talk 19:34, 17 August 2007 (UTC)
- Hi Jim,
- Further to Digon's comments, you can put the page Commons:Help desk on your watchlist (click on the 'watch' tab at the top of that page). Then when you're logged in, click on 'my watchlist' at the top right hand corner of the screen, and it will show you the latest changes to pages on your watchlist. Unfortunately there is no better system to figure out when your question has been answered, in general. But I answered it. :) If you want to send me an email with any more questions about Commons, you're welcome to: Special:Emailuser/Pfctdayelise. cheers --pfctdayelise (说什么?) 00:22, 18 August 2007 (UTC)
