Dear Christian,
The picture you have uploaded as File:Muscari azureum (Habitus).jpg is of course of a Muscari species, but for sure not of Muscari azureum. It is not the first time I see that plants are not correctly labelled in a botanic garden.
Muscari azureum has a different habitus: it has shorter, broader leaves and more open corollas. I have this species in my garden. It is currently opening. I will upload pictures of it in the forthcoming days when it is fully open.
Botanically yours, --Réginald (To reply) 11:43, 9 March 2010 (UTC)
- I have already uploaded a first picture of it (File:Muscari azureum opening.jpg). Although the inflorescence is not yet open, you can already see its very different habitus. --Réginald (To reply) 13:49, 10 March 2010 (UTC)
- Dear Christian,
- I have uploaded a couple of pictures of the "true" Muscari azureum in Category:Muscari azureum.
- As you can see, this plant cannot be mixed with that a picture of which you have uploaded as File:Muscari azureum (Habitus).jpg. I guess this picture is of the commonly cultured Muscari armeniacum.
- Botanically yours, --Réginald (To reply) 11:44, 20 March 2010 (UTC)
Nicht Smilax canariensis
[edit]Hallo Ixitixel,
A barnstar for you!

Hi Ixitixel!
My name is Edoardo Bit, I am an architect and also a “young researcher” of the University of Ferarra (Italy). I am writing a book on the “green walls technologies” and I have found very interesting a photo in your page. So, I would kindly ask you if I can use it in my book. Obviously, if you gently decide to grant me the permission, your name (or your nickname) and the link of the picture will be correctly cited in the credits of my publication. The photo which I would use is: http://it.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Narcissus_poeticus_(Habitus).jpg
Bye, Edoardo
