File:Monarchy-in-russia.jpg has been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether it should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at its entry.
If you created this file, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it, such as a copyright issue. Please see Commons:But it's my own work! for a guide on how to address these issues. |

I did not mean to post any copied images
[edit]The picture i posted was simply for educational purposes only, no intent of harm and copyright in regards to this image. I recognize that the work may have been done by someone else and apologize for the inconvenience. — Preceding unsigned comment added by IntercontinentalEmpire (talk • contribs) 03:52, 23 March 2019 (UTC)
- Copyrighted images are not allowed on Wikimedia Commons by its rules and the law, please examine Commons:FAQ#Copyright_questions. Look at your upload: File:Monarchy-in-russia.jpg. There are statements: "Source: Own work", "Author: IntercontinentalEmpire". But you are not an author, and this is not your work. So that, the image is not eligible and will be deleted. Please read about licenses and general help pages about Wikimedia Commons usage. --ssr (talk) 04:37, 23 March 2019 (UTC)
I am having trouble deleting it
[edit]Sadly, i can't really figure out how to delete it, the deletion blog was little help and i want this removed. I understood the rules and i want to proceed on a more efficient path. — Preceding unsigned comment added by IntercontinentalEmpire (talk • contribs) 16:55, 24 March 2019 (UTC)
- You don't need to worry now, I have nominated it for deletion and it is awaiting for an admin to delete. Regular users cannot delete files from Wikimedia projects. Just be careful in future. --ssr (talk) 17:57, 24 March 2019 (UTC)
Gratitude
[edit]Thank you very much, and again i didn't mean harm or copyright issues. I am only trying to contribute and i greatly apologize for the inconvenience. — Preceding unsigned comment added by IntercontinentalEmpire (talk • contribs) 21:37, 25 March 2019 (UTC)
SVG (Scalable Vector Graphics)
[edit]In other languages (translate this)

Thank you for uploading some images!
Did you know that Wikimedia Commons recommends the SVG (Scalable Vector Graphics) format for certain types of images? Scalable Vector Graphics are designed to look appropriate at any scale, and SVG images are easier to modify and translate, helping Wikimedia to distribute knowledge to all of the world. A lot of modern programs support SVG export. If you encountered problems or have questions, don't hesitate to ask me, a member of the Graphic Lab, or the Graphics village pump. Uploading images in SVG format isn't mandatory, but it would help. (To avoid any misunderstandings, please don't just put raster images into an SVG container as embedded raster.) Thanks, and happy editing!

Hi, you uploaded File:USS Texas Remains.jpg last year and included in the Wikipedia article USS Texas (1892). I challenged the accuracy of your addition to the article and removed the image and the corresponding text changes to the article. However, the image is still here on Commons.
Based on the evidence I pointed out on the relevant talk page, there is zero chance that this photo is of the USS Texas unless I am mistaken (which is definitely a possibility). So, I am writing here to ask you to let me know if I am mistaken (and provide some kind of proof that I am mistaken) before I nominate the media for deletion. Thanks. Aoi (talk) 03:03, 11 March 2020 (UTC)
- Regarding your upload of File:USS Texas Remains.jpg, can you let me know the origin of this picture? I do not believe it is of the USS Texas for reasons noted earlier. Did you take this photo yourself or is it from another source? Thank you. Aoi (talk) 03:39, 3 November 2022 (UTC)
