User talk:Ilveon
Our first steps tour and our frequently asked questions will help you a lot after registration. They explain how to customize the interface (for example the language), how to upload files and our basic licensing policy (Wikimedia Commons only accepts free content). You don't need technical skills in order to contribute here. Be bold when contributing and assume good faith when interacting with others. This is a wiki. More information is available at the community portal. You may ask questions at the help desk, village pump or on IRC channel #wikimedia-commons (webchat). You can also contact an administrator on their talk page. If you have a specific copyright question, ask at the copyright village pump. |

Your contributions to FPC
[edit]Welcome to the FPC project, Ilveon. Thank you for contributing; however, new users must have made 50 edits to Commons and have accounts at least 10 days old. This is because we do not want sockpuppets, disruptive editors who create multiple accounts to add more votes. You have not done anything wrong, and we hope you will come back after you meet the requirements. Thank you. --The High Fin Sperm Whale 18:32, 7 May 2011 (UTC) |
Permission to use figure in a book.
[edit]Dear Ilveon,
I am working with Prof. Steven LaValle to help obtain permissions for borrowing figures or pictures in his upcoming book Virtual Reality, to be published by Cambridge University Press. The book is online here:
We are hoping to include the picture of yours (https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/f/fc/Vlg_shop.jpg) in this book (Chapter 4, Figure 4.21). Could we please have your permission for this? Thank you.
