Our first steps help file and our FAQ will help you a lot after registration. They explain how to customize the interface (for example the language), how to upload files and our basic licensing policy. You don't need technical skills in order to contribute here. Be bold contributing here and assume good faith for the intentions of others. This is a wiki - it is really easy. More information is available at the Community Portal. You may ask questions at the Help desk, Village Pump or on IRC channel #wikimedia-commons. You can also contact an administrator on their talk page. This painter died in 1975, therefore his work is still copyrighted. Anna 23:47, 12 June 2006 (UTC) .
The original artwork and the photo is property of me and my family, and we are free to put it here if we want to. The photo is (was) marked with a lisence, so whoever deleted that please put it back, I don't know how. This picture has been deleted before, and I find this a bit frustrating.

- Images need a source and origin and yours didn't have it, so considering the possible copyright violation I proposed it for deletion, as it could be a fake license. The license has been restored and the permission added to the talk page, everything is in order now. Anna 22:01, 13 June 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for uploading File:Rolf-Nesch-Bro-Over-Elben.jpg. This media is missing permission information. A source is given, but there is no proof that the author or copyright holder agreed to license the file under the given license. Please provide a link to an appropriate webpage with license information, or ask the author or copyright holder to send an email with copy of a written permission to VRT (permissions-commons@wikimedia.org). You may still be required to go through this procedure even if you are the author yourself; please see Commons:But it's my own work! for more details. After you emailed permission, you may replace the {{No permission since}} tag with {{subst:PP}} on file description page. Alternatively, you may click on "Challenge speedy deletion" below the tag if you wish to provide an argument why evidence of permission is not necessary in this case.
Please see this page for more information on how to confirm permission, or if you would like to understand why we ask for permission when uploading work that is not your own, or work which has been previously published (regardless of whether it is your own). Warning: unless the permission information is given, the file may be deleted after seven days. Thank you. |

Hhjelle talking:
I dont understand anything of how I should react, who I should talk to or where to write, but here are my comment:
Me and my family has the legal copyright to Rolf Nesch's pictures, both the artwork and the foto, and hereby declare that everything is ok. I have used a lot of time to get an send to wikipedia commons the provided documentation 7 years ago!!

- Hi Hhjelle, I stumbled only incidentially over this "conflict". Do you eventually still remember to whom you have sent the mentioned Documentation 7 years ago? Was it sent to an address like permissions-commons@wikimedia.org or to an individual admin? --Túrelio (talk) 21:10, 15 November 2012 (UTC)
Hi, It was sent to User:Cnyborg
- Thanks. I've asked at Commons:OTRS/Noticeboard whether there is a record about this "case" from 2006. It's not a precondition, but might help. --Túrelio (talk) 21:57, 15 November 2012 (UTC)
