Thank you for participating in Wiki Loves Monuments 2013! Please help with this survey.

Dear Galessandroni,
Thank you for contributing to Wiki Loves Monuments 2013, and for sharing your pictures with the whole world! We would like to ask again a few minutes of your time.

Thanks to the participation of people like you, the contest gathered more than 365,000 pictures of cultural heritage objects from more than 50 countries around the world, becoming the largest photography competition to have ever taken place.

You can find all your pictures in your upload log, and are of course very welcome to keep uploading images and help develop Wikimedia Commons, even though you will not be able to win more prizes (just yet).

If you'd like to start editing relevant Wikipedia articles and share your knowledge with other people, please go to the Wikipedia Welcome page for more information, guidance, and help.

To make future contests even more successful than this year, we would like to invite you to share your experiences with us in a short survey. Please fill in this short survey in your own language, and help us learn what you liked and didn't like about Wiki Loves Monuments 2013.

Kind regards,

the Wiki Loves Monuments team

[edit]
Concorso Wiki Loves Monuments Italia 2018 (English version)

Grazie, Nemo 16:05, 12 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Wiki Loves Monuments 2021

[edit]

File:Campanile di San Paolo natale 2021.jpg has been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether it should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at its entry.

If you created this file, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it, such as a copyright issue. Please see Commons:But it's my own work! for a guide on how to address these issues.

Please remember to respond to and – if appropriate – contradict the arguments supporting deletion. Arguments which focus on the nominator will not affect the result of the nomination. Thank you!

When categorising files, please avoid placing them into several categories that are directly linked within the same tree (e.g. a parent category and a child category – like Category:United Kingdom and Category:London), to prevent over-categorization of files and over-population of categories. Usually, only the most specific category should be used. See Commons:Categories for more details. Thank you.

--Phyrexian ɸ 13:54, 4 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@Phyrexian Provo a risponderti comunque qua. :-)
Grazie e ciao, Giacomo Alessandroni What's up! 19:35, 4 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Ciao! --Phyrexian ɸ 19:54, 4 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Wiki Loves Monuments e Wiki Loves Puglia 2022

[edit]

Dear Galessandroni,

Thank you for contributing to Wiki Loves Monuments 2022, and for sharing your pictures with the whole world! We would like to ask again for a few minutes of your time. Thanks to the participation of people like you, the contest gathered more than 150K+ pictures of cultural heritage objects from more than 35 countries around the world.

You can find all your pictures in your upload log, and are of course very welcome to keep uploading images and help develop Wikimedia Commons, even though you will not be able to win more prizes (just yet). To make future contests even more successful than this year, we would like to invite you to share your experiences with us in a short survey.

Please fill in this short survey and help us learn what you liked and didn't like about Wiki Loves Monuments 2022.

Kind regards, Wiki Loves Monuments team, 09:41, 10 January 2023 (UTC)

Giacomo Alessandroni What's up! 18:41, 17 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Ruthven (msg) 21:13, 17 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Notification about possible deletion

    [edit]
Some contents have been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether they should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at their entry.

If you created these pages, please note that the fact that they have been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with them, such as a copyright issue. Please see Commons:But it's my own work! for a guide on how to address these issues.

Please remember to respond to and – if appropriate – contradict the arguments supporting deletion. Arguments which focus on the nominator will not affect the result of the nomination. Thank you!

2022 Picture of the Year: Saint John Church of Sohrol in Iran.

Read this message in your language

    Dear Wikimedian,

Wikimedia Commons is happy to announce that the 2022 Picture of the Year competition is now open. This year will be the seventeenth edition of the annual Wikimedia Commons photo competition, which recognizes exceptional contributions by users on Wikimedia Commons. Wikimedia users are invited to vote for their favorite images featured on Commons during the last year (2022) to produce a single Picture of the Year.

Hundreds of images that have been rated Featured Pictures by the international Wikimedia Commons community in the past year are all entered in this competition. These images include professional animal and plant shots, breathtaking panoramas and skylines, restorations of historical images, photographs portraying the world's best architecture, impressive human portraits, and so much more.

For your convenience, we have sorted the images into topical categories. Two rounds of voting will be held: In the first round, you may vote for as many images as you like. The top 30 overall and the two most popular images in each category will continue to the final. In the final round, you may vote for just three images to become the Picture of the Year.

Round 1 will end on UTC.

    Thanks,
the Wikimedia Commons Picture of the Year committee

Wiki Loves Monuments 2023 - Deutschland

    [edit]

    Hallo Galessandroni,

    Sieger 2022 – Kloster Paulinzella

Upload your photos via the new Upload-Map
Upload your photos for the special price

Wiki Loves Monuments 2023 è iniziato: partecipa anche tu!

    [edit]

    Buongiorno Galessandroni,

Qui puoi consultare Il regolamento completo e per qualsiasi dubbio puoi scrivere a contatti@wikilovesmonuments.it.

Ti aspetto! Grazie, --Ferdi2005(talk) 10:37, 6 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Grazie per aver partecipato a WikiLovesMonuments 2023 - Italia

    [edit]

    (English version available here)

@Threecharlie, credo proprio tu abbia ragione.
Vediamo...

    Warning

    [edit]

Hi Galessandroni. I noticed that you've made a malformed deletion request: omitting the subpage and transclusion. Here, {{Delete}} is not for speedy deletion, please see COM:DP. When you want to delete a page by manually using the {{Delete}} template (rather than the automatic Nominate for deletion or Nominate category for discussion tool in the Tools menu on the sidebar per COM:DR#Starting requests and COM:CFD#Starting requests), you must follow the instructions in the template, including the "Click here to show further instructions" portion (or Commons:Deletion requests/Listing a request manually policy or the "By hand" portion of COM:CFD#Starting requests, normally collapsed), otherwise you will create a lot of work for other people. Warning: such edits are not tolerated and have led to account blocks, as "We cannot work here with people who are not willing to follow our procedures, in particular for deletion requests."   — 🇺🇦Jeff G. please ping or talk to me🇺🇦 15:32, 16 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

    Hello @Jeff G.,
I apologise for the incorrect use of the {{Delete}} template. Of course, I try to follow all the procedures but sometimes I do mistakes. I'm really careful about file and category names, ‘cause I've read somewhere that "name changing is a courtesy, not mandatory". So, thank you for the deletion and the explanation. I know that the administration for a project so big is very difficult. Giacomo Alessandroni What's up! 10:45, 19 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Wiki Loves Monuments 2024 - Deutschland

    [edit]

    Hallo Galessandroni,

Upload your photos via the new Upload-Map
Upload your photos for the special price

@Z thomas Danke! But in this year I haven't visited German, so I have no new photo for the contest. Thanks so much, for your mail. Giacomo Alessandroni What's up! 13:51, 30 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, it's a pity. I hope that you have the chance to visit Germany next year. Thanks for your answer and of course thanks for all of your pictures. Z thomas 14:58, 30 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Round 1 of Picture of the Year 2023 voting is open!

    [edit]
2022 Picture of the Year: Great Cormorant (Phalacrocorax carbo), Little Egret (Egretta garzetta) and Gadwall (Mareca strepera) in Nepal.

    Dear Wikimedian,

Wikimedia Commons is happy to announce that the 2023 Picture of the Year competition is now open. This year will be the eighteenth edition of the annual Wikimedia Commons photo competition, which recognizes exceptional contributions by users on Wikimedia Commons. Wikimedia users are invited to vote for their favorite images featured on Commons during the last year (2023) to produce a single Picture of the Year.

The top 30 overall and top 5% of most popular images in each category will continue to the final. In the final round, you may vote for just three images to become the Picture of the Year.

Round 1 will end on UTC.

    Thanks,
the Wikimedia Commons Picture of the Year committee
