Registered Historic Places categories
[edit]Category discussion notification | Category:Registered Historic Places in Alabama has been listed at Commons:Categories for discussion so that the community can discuss ways in which it should be changed. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at its entry. If you created this category, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for discussion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it. If the category is up for deletion because it has been superseded, consider the notion that although the category may be deleted, your hard work (which we all greatly appreciate) lives on in the new category. |

Palatka's Amtrak Station
[edit]Considering the abundnace of images you have for the Old Atlantic Coast Line Union Depot in Palatka, I'm considering converting them all into a subcategory for Amtrak Stations in Florida, just as I did for Tampa, Orlando, and DeLand. Would you mind? ----DanTD (talk) 14:12, 3 April 2009 (UTC)
- Nope, go right ahead! :) --Ebyabe (talk) 18:04, 4 April 2009 (UTC)
- Done. ----DanTD (talk) 18:21, 6 April 2009 (UTC)
Kissimmee Amtrak Station images
[edit]I'd just like to let you know that tonight I've finally uploaded two images related to the Kissimmee (Amtrak station), and I plan to add six more and start a separate gallery for this station. If you have any other images of Amtrak stations you're planning to add, just let me know. ----DanTD (talk) 02:40, 22 April 2009 (UTC)
- What ones still need photos? I'm doing some roadtripping again, and may be able to get some in my travels. :) --Ebyabe (talk) 01:17, 23 April 2009 (UTC)
- Well, so far there's Pensacola, Tallahassee, Madison, Lake City, Okeechobee, Fort Lauderdale, and Hollywood. I'd almost be willing to consider some former stations like St. Pete and the old Jacksonville Union Station, and if I didn't feel like putting up with the cops there, Waldo. BTW, I'm going to take a road trip after the weekend, but I won't be taking any pictures of anything along the way. On the other hand, I'm determined to take some shots of several Long Island Rail Road stations during this trip. ----DanTD (talk) 12:04, 24 April 2009 (UTC)
- I just remembered another one; Sanford. ----DanTD (talk) 12:11, 24 April 2009 (UTC)
- I'll add them to my lists. Anything within a couple hours drive of Ocala is possible in the near future, but further than that may be a while. Remember, if it's on the National Register, it's already on my things-to-do (like the Tallahassee one). Waldo's not that bad, as long as you go reeeeeeal slow. :) So that's the Amtrak station there? I've driven by a jillion times. Now that I now, I'll see what I can do. Later, and have fun on your trip! --Ebyabe (talk) 18:58, 26 April 2009 (UTC)
- Btw, wave at South of the Border for me, if you pass by. I love that place. It's so tourist-tacky, it should be in Florida! :) --Ebyabe (talk) 19:03, 26 April 2009 (UTC)

Re: Ocala
[edit]- I did take some Werner-Boyce pictures around Christmas 2008(I went to see a movie in Port Richey that I couldn't find near me), but they didn't really turn out so good. ----DanTD (talk) 15:05, 26 April 2009 (UTC)
Re: Waldo (Amtrak station)
[edit]Wow, and I haven't even started an article for this one yet. I'd better start working on it. BTW, I'm back from my vacation in New York, but I'll be going on another one in June. Besides the LIRR stations I want to gather images of, I'm hoping to add images of Dillon, Ashland, Aberdeen, and Perryville Stations. Dillon probably needs an image more than the others, because as of this writing, there's only one image of Amtrak Stations in South Carolina. ----DanTD (talk) 02:20, 15 May 2009 (UTC)
Zephyrhills Depot Museum
[edit]Did you see the stray kitten living under the platform when you took those pictures? Because I did. I even gave it some water. ----DanTD (talk) 23:16, 29 June 2009 (UTC)
- No, but I saw one somewhere else on my travels that day, but I can't remember where. A rooster did cross the road in front of me in Zephyrhills, though. :) I did like that depot, what a great restoration job. That should be on the NRHP, imho. --Ebyabe (talk) 00:48, 1 July 2009 (UTC)
- You saw the photos, didja? --Ebyabe (talk) 00:50, 1 July 2009 (UTC)
- I took some of my own, and they turned out blue. When I brought it back to the CVS store I had it developed in, they tried to fix it as best as they could. Here's how one of them turned out. They had more success with my picture of the Cross Florida Greenbelt Trail over I-75. ----DanTD (talk) 03:26, 1 July 2009 (UTC)
- Oh, none of them are of Zephyrhills Depot, but they're on the same disc, so they've got that blue tint I didn't expect. ----DanTD (talk) 03:28, 1 July 2009 (UTC)

Lakeland Amtrak station
[edit]I see that you've added three images of the Lakeland (Amtrak station) to the gallery, so I made a whole separate category for it. I still ought to add some of my images of Wildwood (Amtrak station), and create a new category for it as well. ----DanTD (talk) 00:27, 11 September 2009 (UTC)
- Terrif! I took the shots of the Lakeland station as a drive-by, since it was on the way to getting ones for the Mirror Promenade. And yeah, add those Wildwood ones whenever you can, doncha know.
- I'm hoping to get some more regular roadtripping in soon, once the weather gets cooler, and other weather permitting. The Lakeland trip was the only major one I've done for a while, due to various personal stuff. I'm hoping I can get back into the swing of things. Later! --Ebyabe (talk) 22:37, 11 September 2009 (UTC)

AutoWikiBrowser
[edit]Hi, as far as I can see I can only use this with windows, can you tell me, please, if its running as well with Linux? greetz --anro (talk) 21:31, 31 October 2009 (UTC)
- You're right, it only works with Windows. I just assume that's what everyone has, even though I should know better. There appears to be information relating to your question on the AWB talk page. Hopefully that'll help? Luck. --Ebyabe (talk) 14:38, 1 November 2009 (UTC)
