- @B dash: hi I'm not sure that I understand. When I click on the license tag on the photo it's a 2.0 license that comes up saying that I can share for non commercial purposes. Could you explain what is wrong with the license. Thanks.Domdeparis (talk) 08:26, 7 October 2017 (UTC)
Re
[edit]Here is the license of CC-BY-NC 2.0, saying that "NonCommercial — You may not use the material for commercial purposes." And also please see {{Flickr image info}}, NC image is not allowed in Commons, regards. --B dash (talk) 09:10, 7 October 2017 (UTC)
- ok thanks for the reply. As I saw 2.0 as a license tag when I uploaded the photo I naively assumed it was ok. Domdeparis (talk) 09:27, 7 October 2017 (UTC)
@B dash: I saw you removed the link to my Wikipedia page. Why was that? I use it for ease of navigation between the 2 projects. Domdeparis (talk) 09:31, 7 October 2017 (UTC)
File:Britt-bohlin.jpg has been marked as a possible copyright violation. Wikimedia Commons only accepts free content—that is, images and other media files that can be used by anyone, for any purpose. Traditional copyright law does not grant these freedoms, and unless noted otherwise, everything you find on the web is copyrighted and not permitted here. For details on what is acceptable, please read Commons:Licensing. You may also find Commons:Copyright rules useful, or you can ask questions about Commons policies at the Commons:Help desk. If you are the copyright holder and the creator of the file, please read Commons:But it's my own work! for tips on how to provide evidence of that.
The file you added has been deleted. If you have written permission from the copyright holder, please have them send us a free license release via COM:VRT. If you believe that the deletion was not in accordance with policy, you may request undeletion. (It is not necessary to request undeletion if using VRT; the file will be automatically restored at the conclusion of the process.) Warning: Wikimedia Commons takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

Hi, when I went to Wiki commons, I was told that I could use it on Wikipedia on any article and was provided with the code. That is why I used it in my article. Actually I am still not clear about how to upload images on to my page which is why I decided to go with one that already exists on this platform. Awaiting your guidance, thanks, regards, User:Vinvibes
- @Vinvibes: the trouble is that you claim it is your own work but the photo is used by the subject for his blog. Are you the author of the photo or do you have permission to use it? Domdeparis (talk) 05:26, 3 August 2018 (UTC)
