Hi Cornellier! My cousin in New Brunswick just wrote and sent details on the church photo you wrote to me about, so I have been able to add the name and location of the church on the photo's main page. You can read all about it at: https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Church_near_Sackville.JPG#.7B.7Bint:filedesc.7D.7D I hope you find it of interest. Thanks for bringing to my attention that the photo really needed more information with it - I think it is much better now. Best wishes, and cheers, John E. For the record, the media was my own work. I didn't fill in the copyright info correctly in time. Too bad. --Cornellier (talk) 01:17, 4 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hello.

Can you make these corrections in File:Countries driving on the left or right 1900.svg?

In 1900, these places drove on the left and thus need to be colored in blue:

  • Sweden
  • Finland
  • Austro-Hungarian Empire
  • Bosnia
  • Portuguese Timor (East Timor)
  • South Sudan (then part of Anglo-Egyptian Sudan)
  • Aden Colony (South Yemen)

In 1900, these places drove on the right and thus need to be colored in red:

  • Brazil
  • Paraguay
  • South Korea (then part of a unified Korea)

Please see the articles en:Left- and right-hand traffic and en:List of countries with left-hand traffic and the sources.

Thank you.

I'm not sure the changes you are proposing are correct. E.g. Sweden is already blue. Finland was RHT in 1900. Austro-Hungarian empire is already blue in the map, --Cornellier (talk) 01:17, 4 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for pointing out my mistakes about Sweden and Finland, but Austria, Slovenia, Croatia, southern Poland and Bosnia are themselves colored in red, when they need to be colored in blue. British Columbia is shown too large, because it incorrectly covers Alberta. Can you correct them and the other aforementioned countries? 31.200.11.49 06:30, 4 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
And thank you for helping to improve this map! So I need to do the following:
  • change from red to blue Austria, Slovenia, Croatia, southern Poland, Bosnia, Portuguese Timor (East Timor), South Sudan and Aden Colony (South Yemen).
  • separate Alberta from British Columbia (actually I don't think Alberta existed in 1900)
  • change from red to blue Korea
  • NOT DO: Brazil and Paraguay were LHT back then, according to the article. --Cornellier (talk) 14:18, 4 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Your map is a good and educational map. Thank you for pointing out Brazil and Paraguay, which I overlooked. But the others listed indeed need to be corrected. I have also checked them to be sure. 31.200.11.49 16:19, 4 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

If you created this file, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. Please remember to respond to and – if appropriate – contradict the arguments supporting deletion. Arguments which focus on the nominator will not affect the result of the nomination. Thank you!
