You just notified me that File:Rust e o purificador de água.jpg may be deleted on copyright grounds, but it was Giosepeluiz who cross-wiki uploaded it from pt.wikipedia.org. You may want to notify that user. MjolnirPants (talk) 12:25, 23 May 2016 (UTC)
Tagging copyvios
[edit]Hi, When tagging copyright violations, please inform the uploader. This is best done using the gagdet. See in your preferences to enable them, tab "Gadget", section "Maintenance tools" : "AjaxQuickDelete" and "Quick delete". These add links in the left column (or right column for Hebrew, Arabic, etc., language interface). Regards, Yann (talk) 13:32, 29 July 2017 (UTC)
Problem with Ukraine War Animation?
[edit]Hello! I see you reverted the Ukraine war gif to the previous version. You said there was a problem with the animation. Was the problem that the animation did not play when it was small/in thumbnail form? If that is not the problem, the explanation below is irrelevant. Please tell me what the actual problem is so I can fix it.
That is caused by an unfortunate limitation of Wikipedia. Wikipedia can only display a gifs animation in thumbnail form if the image makes the following equation true, (length of image in pixels) x (width of image in pixels) x (number of animation frames) < 100,000,000. If you opened it in media viewer though, the gif would play as normal. Unfortunately, going forward at the gifs current resolution, the animation won't play in thumbnail form if number of frames exceeds 104. The only solution to the issue is to have fewer frames (which makes no sense at the present) or lower the gifs resolution.--Physeters✉ 05:34, 12 June 2022 (UTC)
