Multiple DRs

[edit]

When you post more than two or three DRs of related subjects as you did with File:N837JM at KHPN.jpg, please use Visual File Change. It is much faster for you and for the closing Admin. Thank you, . .     Jim . . . (Jameslwoodward) (talk to me) 18:57, 24 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Will do, thanks for the tip Jim! Coldstreamer20 (talk) 05:02, 25 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Japan Joint Operations Command

[edit]

New joint command forming in Japan. Would you consider writing a short referenced 2 or 3 paragraphs that I could transfer to Wikipedia crediting you here? Buckshot06 (talk) 09:26, 5 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hey Buckshot good to hear from you sir, hope you're well. I worked on a rough draft here: User:Coldstreamer20/Joint Operations Command. There is currently a Japanese article here: [1]. If able to transfer to Wikipedia, some background on the establishment would be useful as well to add, but I wanted to keep it simple. Coldstreamer20 (talk) 19:11, 5 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Find the background and add it to your draft, especially the *reason why the command was created* which you don't appear to have added so far. Just run a bunch of websearches for "Japan" and "Joint Operations Command" and "2024" should find you the details, and you are expertly referencing. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Buckshot06 (talk • contribs) 05:27, 26 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

6 (UK) Division

[edit]

Hello @Buckshot06 hope you're well, you may want to know that 6th (UK) Division has been renamed 'Land Special Operations Forces' according to the MoD. My ref is the British Army Review from spring: BritishArmy Review, Issue #186. :Also, just a side note it's insignia is that of Field Army's but black instead of green and white instead of black. The book is also very useful as on page 15 it also states the adjustments to Future Soldier and its structural changes. Coldstreamer20 (talk) 05:21, 26 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Many thanks. Buckshot06 (talk) 05:29, 26 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Revamped

[edit]

Hello @Buckshot06, it's clear at this point that I will not be able to return to Wikipedia. I have however been working on revamped articles. Many of the low-quality articles I wrote I've been completely reworking. I've uploaded a few here on the commons as a reference. If you wouldn't mind taking a look and give some feedback if you're available that would be very much welcome! Just as a point of reference, you'll see a lot of redlinks as this is commons but if you want to copy them over to a sandbox templates and redlinks should fix themselves. Here are the ones I've re-done here:

I think that's more then enough for now ha ha. Well if you have any questions or concerns or recommendations please share! Coldstreamer20 (talk) 20:59, 3 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Understand, Coldstreamer20. Would you mind doing something for me?
Tell me if you have a copy of this? https://www.amazon.co.uk/British-Army-Guide-2016-2017/dp/1473845475 ?? The 16/17 version was the last edition published..
Please tell me if you have. Regards, Buckshot06 (talk) 08:39, 4 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I did have a copy of it somewhere, but I can't find it atm. Coldstreamer20 (talk) 17:04, 4 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Well, would you do me a favour? Find it. Then, because Herbert has probably died, why don't you see if you can go carefully through Chapter 1, at least, and create an update line by line - with references this time!! You do that to my satisfaction, we can start talking to Pen & Sword and, maybe, get an update contract. Also, do me a favour please: no more FOIs to the Army, please. Work with the information you have. You can mark the gaps and talk to me about them.
Meanwhile, I will see if I can create and transfer ATSC above. Buckshot06 (talk) 20:17, 4 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hello mate? Are you talking to me? Buckshot06 (talk) 08:23, 8 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Uhm... I'm a little confused and not sure how to respond to your last two messages.. But I'm here hi ha ha.. Coldstreamer20 (talk) 00:54, 11 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
(2) PLease look for the "British Army Guide 2016-17". When you find it, please tell me. (2) we can go forward after that. Buckshot06 (talk) 13:14, 18 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
