Many thanks for spotting and tidying up some of the pictures of cars I've been uploading. It's a meticulous task for which I do not have the equipment nor the skill, but it's really needed for some of them. You've done a particularly wonderful job with this, of one of the first Peugeot 205s I ever saw which is a picture I remember I always liked, but when I scanned it and uploaded it I became painfully aware that (1) it was maybe a cheap camera even in 1982 (can't remember if I had my Olympus OM2 by then: that was the year I bought it, I think) and / or (2) the color slide seems badly deteriorated. You seem to have rescued it so that now it looks better than ever. I begin to believe in miracles. Thank you again.

That's okay, thanks. I probably should have mentioned something to you before changing large amounts of photos, to be honest. And I wouldn't have bothered tweaking the images if they hadn't been decent to start off with.

Photoshop has a "spot healing brush tool" that lets you click on a blob and auto-fix it (assuming it's not in an area of fine detail). But most of the images didn't even need that, they were fine apart from the minor colour cast.

PS lets you remove casts by clicking on something that should be grey (it adjusts the colour balance accordingly). It doesn't always work in cases where the cast isn't even to begin with (e.g. more green in the shadows than the highlights); you can see this on the faint magenta/green cast remaining on the side of the white Peugeot. But I've had this problem with my own slides too :-/
