Copyright/permissions issues
[edit]Hi. I noticed you uploaded several photos with the author as Crystal Palace FC USA. Now, I understand that that is your username, but since I assume that that implies the site http://www.crystalpalaceusa.com/ is the copyright holder, it would be nice if we had some sort of email confirmation from the organisation stating that the wikimedia user CPFCUSA is indeed the copyright holder of the images. Please see COM:OTRS for details on how to go about this. Thanks. -mattbuck (Talk) 03:34, 2 November 2008 (UTC)
- Hi Matt. Thanks for your diligence! These images were not taken from http://www.crystalpalaceusa.com - I am the owner of the images both as the photographer and Director of Communications for Crystal Palace FC USA/Crystal Palace Baltimore and uploaded them from my original files. The CPFCUSA account name has my work email address associated with it - jcalder@crystalpalaceusa.com. Please let me know if this information will suffice in allaying your concerns or if I need to take further action(s). Best, James. - User:CPFCUSA approximately 05:17, 2 November 2008 (UTC)
- Hello. Since these appear to be for sale on your website, an email from the address you mention there, jamescalder (at) pobox (dot) com, to the OTRS people would be fine. You'd need to mention that it's for all footballing images you upload (or others if relevant), and what licence you agree to release them under. -mattbuck (Talk) 12:50, 2 November 2008 (UTC)
File:Brian_Rowland_CPFC_USA.jpg has been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether it should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at its entry.
If you created this file, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it, such as a copyright issue. Please see Commons:But it's my own work! for a guide on how to address these issues. |
