Category:Commodore 128 documentation - Sort order
[edit]Hi there,
I notice you created Category:Commodore 128 documentation and put it in the category Category:Commodore 128.
Did you know that you can alter the sort order within the parent category by piping as follows:- [[Category:Commodore 128|Documentation]] (for example)?
This means that the child category goes under "D" in the parent category, rather than everything going under "C" for "Category:Commodore 128 (whatever subcategory)".
Hope this helps and that you can now add sorting to your categories where appropriate! All the best, Ubcule (talk) 16:05, 6 January 2017 (UTC)
Category:Other_Commodore_64_clones has been listed at Commons:Categories for discussion so that the community can discuss ways in which it should be changed. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at its entry. If you created this category, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for discussion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it. If the category is up for deletion because it has been superseded, consider the notion that although the category may be deleted, your hard work (which we all greatly appreciate) lives on in the new category. In all cases, please do not take the category discussion personally. It is never intended as such. Thank you! |

Username visually identical

User name
[edit]
You certainly understand English, hence hereby inform you that you must change your Wikimedia user name in accordance to Commons:Username policy #Confusing usernames and, probably, policy of other Wikimedia projects. The Greek ‹ο› is visually indistinguishable from the respective Latin letter in user: Colin who was registered long before you. You can request a new username at meta: Steward requests/Username changes.

- In fact, this user (as de:Benutzer:Colin) edited in March, 2005, whereas the photographer Colin made his first Wikipedia edit in August, 2005. What initially appeared to be a de.Wikipedia user will bad ideas about identity turns out to be a subversion by DerHexer, a willful violation of the the “confusing usernames” provision with performing this rename request. Incnis Mrsi (talk) 10:48, 11 August 2018 (UTC)
- While this account may have first edited earlier, I requested a unified account (Unified Login) 10 years ago, which usurps the account on other wikis and forces a rename (~dewiki). I appreciate it is sad to lose one's username, particularly if attached to it, but it is more important that accounts are not confused with each other, as is the case here. I think it would be best if you come up with a new name that is quite separate from mine. -- Colin from en-wp and Commons (talk) 11:42, 11 August 2018 (UTC)
And also, the claim that (then Colin@dewiki) made any usurpation request in 2008 has no corroboration. Even if such request existed, it evidently did not succeed against the English Wikipedian Colin who registered in 2005. Incnis Mrsi (talk) 15:43, 11 August 2018 (UTC)- As explained already, I was confused by the posting from a talk page stalker. Incnis Mrsi (talk) 09:03, 16 August 2018 (UTC)
