File:Dali_atomicus.jpg has been marked as a possible copyright violation. Wikimedia Commons only accepts free content—that is, images and other media files that can be used by anyone, for any purpose. Traditional copyright law does not grant these freedoms, and unless noted otherwise, everything you find on the web is copyrighted and not permitted here. For details on what is acceptable, please read Commons:Licensing. You may also find Commons:Copyright rules useful, or you can ask questions about Commons policies at the Commons:Help desk. If you are the copyright holder and the creator of the file, please read Commons:But it's my own work! for tips on how to provide evidence of that.
The file you added has been deleted. If you have written permission from the copyright holder, please have them send us a free license release via COM:VRT. If you believe that the deletion was not in accordance with policy, you may request undeletion. (It is not necessary to request undeletion if using VRT; the file will be automatically restored at the conclusion of the process.) Warning: Wikimedia Commons takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

This image is not a copyright violation, but you failed to select a license tag. The image is also a duplicate of File:Salvador Dali A (Dali Atomicus) 09633u.jpg, so we dont need this image without license, poor source, bad filename. --Martin H. (talk) 14:16, 30 April 2009 (UTC)

This Halsman images are NOT free according to our scope, see COM:PS#Debe estar bajo licencia libre o en dominio público. Halsmans work will enter the public domain 70 years after his death - except the few images where copyright was registered but not renewed. This case is File:Salvador Dali A (Dali Atomicus) 09633u.jpg - please review this images description, to see how licensing, description, sourcing etc. works. This image is registered with the U.S. Copyright Office, J3769, its registration was not expanded so it is public domain according to COM:L#United States. We dont need your bad duplicate. The other images are all a violation of Halsmans copyright. --Martin H. (talk) 17:53, 4 May 2009 (UTC)
