Milestone 1 - Initiation & Discovery, June

• Appoint technical lead and copyright researcher for the project
• Flickr and Wikimedia community engagement:
  • Make an announcement to Flickr Foundation list, a Meta page, and a Diff post;
  • consult with volunteer developers of Flickr2Commons (project page, tool); and
  • establish collaboration the with Commons Photographers User Group
• Evaluate the user interface of Flickr2Commons
• Clone Flickr2Commons tool, review code, and evaluate hosting options
• Review image rights options and investigate reported license laundering issues (known as 'Flickr washing')

Milestone 2 - Design & Definition, July to August

• Produce and engage the community around:
  • an analysis of photo reuse
  • the rationale for any licensing or permission updates
  • sketches of UI improvements; and
  • feature prioritization

Milestone 3 - Develop, July to October

• Produce a first version of Flickypedia,with at least one new feature. Potential features already identified include:
  • check for possible duplicates;
  • integrate structured data into publishing flow; and
  • provide interaction metrics.

Milestone 4 - Deliver & Refine,  November to December

• Respond to the first round of user feedback through a second release of Flickypedia.
• Document Flickypedia on Wikimedia's Toolhub.
• Consult developers and users of the Flickr2Commons tool on potential deprecation of that tool.
• Invite the 100 cultural organizations that are part of the Flickr Commons program to use Flickypedia.
