Lothian Buses: low-floor buses

English: Low-floor buses operated by Lothian Buses. The first arrived in 1999, delivered new to Lothian's predecessor, Lothian Region Transport. To highlight their low-floor status, a new livery was introduced, the Harlequin livery. All new buses since then have been low-floor, gradually displacing the step-entrance buses in the fleet, which stayed in the traditional madder & white livery. The last step-entrance buses ran in normal route service in August 2009, after which they only ran in the tour bus fleet (excluding vintage buses, the last conventional step-entrance tour bus was withdrawn in 2011). Madder & white colours were re-introduced to the main fleet with the adoption of the Classic livery in 2010.
