Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Cx43 expression influences the velocity of migration scratch wounded fibroblasts. Time-lapse recordings of cells treated with Cx43sODN, Cx43asODN or LiCl were performed at intervals of 5 min for a period of 3 h. Cx43asODN-treated cells migrated almost twice as fast as Cx43sODN treated cells and displayed an extensive lamellipodial protrusion at the leading edge. Incubation with LiCl significantly reduced the rate of migration.
