DescriptionDOK10K - 580 5260 10 (Bayerische Vermessungsverwaltung).tif |
English: View of a 1:10000 scale digital local map (DOK) of Bavaria. It is a topographic map with indication of street names and individual houses. The maps are updated weekly. The individual house representation is based on the ALKIS® cadastral map, the rest is derived from the ATKIS® base DLM. The maps from the Bayerische Landesvermessung are copyrighted, Open DATA and licensed under the CC-BY 4.0 license. The numbers in the file name are based on the coordinate system UTM 32. Here 32 is the UTM zone, which corresponds approximately to Bavaria. The following number (e.g. 490) is the east value, which indicates the distance in meters with the central meridian of the UTM zone. The next number (e.g. 5550) is the north value. It indicates the distance from the equator in meters and represents the vertical coordinate. The last number (e.g. 10) indicates altitude or terrain level, in meters. The original TIF files are in GEOTIFF, compressed with LZW. The tiling is 10 km x 10 km, i.e. 100 km², with a dimension of 20000 x 20000 (400 megapixels) per image, which corresponds to a pixel edge length of 0.05 meters. |
