Juniper encroachment has been identified as a major threat to sagebrush ecosystems and, consequently, to sage-grouse and its habitat in southwest Idaho which includes the BOSH project area. The purpose of this project is to improve and maintain suitable sage-grouse habitat...by removing early stage encroaching western juniper on BLM-managed lands.
