Description
English: Eastbound view of the Bonwit Inn on the northeast corner of the Long Island Vanderbilt Motor Parkway (Suffolk County Road 67) and Commack Road (Suffolk County Road 4) in Commack, New York. The view is from Eastbound Vanderbilt Motor Parkway in the Town of Huntington, and the restaurant is in the Town of Smithtown. I vaguely remember reading something about the site being a historic property dating back to the original construction of the parkway itself, but I forgot the exact information.
UPDATE; DECEMBER 3, 2014: The Bonwit Inn was the site of Brentwood Toll Lodge Number 2(See this link).
