Français : Ce site naturel, récemment réhabilité, accessible par le haut du village, est une succession de chutes, de gués et de cascades qui aboutissent, dans un grand éclaboussement, à un lieu de baignade rafraichissant.l'ancien couvent troglodytique construit par les frères "Carmes déchaussés" dans des grottes naturelles vers 1670. Ils l'occupèrent durant près d'un siècle avant l'industrialisation du site.
" Les Carmes sont nés vers la fin du XIIème siècle d’un groupe indéfini et peu connu de laïques, pèlerins et croisés qui, fatigués de la guerre ou désireux d’attendre la venue définitive du Seigneur qui, selon la mentalité apocalyptique aurait lieu à Jérusalem, se sont retirés au Mont Carmel où ils ont adopté le style de vie érémitique, en vogue à cette époque comme opposition et réforme du mouvement monastique. Ces premiers Carmes se sont consacrés à la prière et la méditation de la Parole de Dieu.. " Les frères vivaient dans des grottes sur les pentes du mont Carmel, d'où l'ordre tire son nom. " |
